Cozy room and bed. Nice pool, close to the beach. Everything was clean and organized. Staff was generally nice but the ones on the pool bar and restaurant could be more friendly.

Bathtub spill water everywhere. We had to mop it with our towels. The restaurant served amazing dishes but pricey and modest portions. Not many places to charge your devices in the room. The whole experience is quite expensive. Lots of green areas unused. The whole place seems to have its time but needs new investment.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Romano Palace! The hotel perfectly blends classic elegance with modern comfort, surrounded by lush tropical gardens that create a peaceful and luxurious retreat in Catania. Our room was spacious, clean, and stylish, with a super comfortable bed and a lovely terrace. Breakfast was varied and delicious, featuring fresh local products. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional – always smiling and ready to help. One of the highlights is the hotel’s proximity to the beach – just a few steps and you’re at the sea! The hotel pool is also a great place to unwind, calm and very well maintained. The location is ideal – close to the airport and still within easy reach of the city center. A place of understated luxury and authentic Sicilian hospitality. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The room was very comfortable and had a lovely view and balcony over the park. The decor was grand if a little dated. There is so much character in this hotel on a very grand scale. If you want a perfect modern sterile hotel without any character go to a different hotel. The foyer was beautiful. There was a beautiful garden with a large swimming pool and plenty of sun loungers and an area to sit and relax with plenty of tables and a fountain. The breakfast was perfect for us offering a large selection of hot and cold food and new coffee machines were installed during our stay. There is also access to a private beach area 5 mins down the road where we had free access to lingers and umbrellas. Lastly and most importantly the staff at reception and at breakfast were always friendly and helpful and nothing was ever a problem to them.

We did have a problem with the electricity in the room one evening but the staff explained that the issue was with a new server and were able to restore the electricity later.

Romano Palace hotel is located perfectly to get to the airport (ten min drive). It is a big and quite old hotel, with large rooms, a lovely pool and pool area to relax at and what was great was a free pass to cross the road and go to the beach resort with loungers and umbrellas, looking up to Mnt Etna. We also ate at the beach restaurant which was delicious. You can park within the hotel grounds for Euros7, the staff were helpful and friendly. A great end day/night to our wonderful week in super Sicily.

The air con was a bit fierce and we were not able to control it properly from the pad. But only a minor thing.

The place is absolutely beautiful. The staff is extremely helpful and tend to your every need. We had massages in our rooms and even those were absolutely divine. The pool is beautiful (it does need some maintenance unfortunately) but still beautiful and we enjoyed every second of it. We spent all our evenings in the beautiful terrace looking at the etna. The buffet was good too. However the front desk's staff were absolutely amazing and helpful. Thank you. I like the smell of the essential oil that greets you in the common areas. All common areas were exceptionally clean.

The ants and the mosquitoes. Unfortunately found ants in d bathroom and even on our bed. The bathroom (or our bathroom needs some tlc or even total redoing) The mosquitoes are horrible, make sure you take repellant with you (they do provide the plug in electric mat machine but no mats for it) The food prices! While I found the hotel and even the massage reasonably priced I cannot say the same about food and beverages on site. It would have been nice to have a kettle in our room! The room ac! Please don't let this be centrally controlled no more or provide fans for guests.

Location close to airport and beach

It’s seen better days, swimming pool in poor state.

Location is a short 5 minute drive to Catania airport. There is a restaurant and bar onsite. Also have access to a beach club which is a couple of minutes walk up the road. Staff were fantastic, very friendly and professional, we also received a room upgrade for our 1 night stay. Parking is also available onsite.

Not related to the property but the area external to the hotel is not the best. We only stayed for one night but external to the hotel it was a bit desolate, no other shops, restaurants around except for the beach club. This is not an issue though as the hotel has all that you need if you are just there for some R&R.

It is an exceptionally beautiful hotel and resort. Great restaurant and waitstaff, lounge and bartenders. It is as located close to the airport

When you leave the facilities gated grounds, there’s really nothing to do or no place to go except one restaurant across a busy road. It was on the water with a beach. But we arrived starving at 4pm and were told they just stopped serving for the day. Had to wait for the hotel restaurant to open at 7pm. It seemed very desolate and run down outside the facility gates. I didn’t feel safe.

The garden which is amazing, the pool and all the outdoors. The staff was very friendly The cocktails from the pool bar and also the music. It was very relaxing for us. Coffee was good.

Basic but good breakfast. The surroundings -outside the hotel Bad smell in the wardrobe, so I had to keep my clothes on the chair and on the table.

Spacious and clean. Nice pool area. Good buffet breakfast.

Rooms are dark and slightly dated with 80s decor. Not a problem, but more retro than chic…
