We stayed at Villa Barberino for three nights in July 2025 — two adults and three kids (ages 11, 14, and 17). We had three junior suites, each one unique, spacious, and full of charm. The entire place feels like it’s straight out of a Tuscan fairytale. From the moment we arrived, we felt a sense of calm and serenity. The peaceful surroundings, the beautifully manicured gardens, the cypress trees, and the incredible views all around made it easy to slow down and truly relax. The pool area was stunning and quiet, perfect for lounging with a book or simply enjoying the silence and scenery. The property itself is rich in history and atmosphere, with details that make you feel like you’re part of something timeless. The restaurant was excellent, and with such a tranquil atmosphere, we found no reason to leave the property. The staff were warm and helpful without being intrusive — just the right balance. If you’re looking for a place to recharge, surrounded by beauty and calm, this is it. We left feeling rested, grateful, and already dreaming of coming back.

A beautiful large historical complex that has been tastefully renovated. All rooms have different sizes and interiors, and are also equipped differently, which can be confusing, as the rooms seen in the pictures may be different. The Superior room we were initially given did not meet all our needs, which were supposed to be in the room according to the advertisement. We were given another room, and although it was smaller, it met our needs better. All the rooms we saw are tastefully, but quite ascetically furnished. The pool is good, not very big, but if there are few people, you can also swim. There are no parasols by the pool, but you can find shade under the trees if you wish. Beautiful garden. There are also enough parking spaces. The breakfast was good, but I think the selection was a little bigger last year. I have to admit that in every hotel where we had a repeat visit, the breakfast selection has become a little smaller compared to previous years. The restaurant dinner was also pleasant, what was lacking in the higher level of food was made up for by the very good service of the staff and the cozy atmosphere on the terrace.
It seems as if the management has changed, some changes have taken place, but not everything has changed for the better and the very warm welcome experienced last year was a bit lacking. There was no mirror in the room, only in the bathroom. There are no toothbrush holders in the bathroom. From the reception and the parking lot to the rooms it is quite a long cobbled road and the wheels of the suitcase do not move on such a road, but the reception will take you there with a golf cart if necessary.

We recently stayed at Villa Barberino, and it was an exceptional experience! The villa is a perfect blend of historical charm and modern comfort, surrounded by beautiful landscapes that offer a peaceful retreat. The rooms were spacious, clean, and elegantly decorated, providing a true sense of luxury. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure every detail of our stay was perfect. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals with fresh, local ingredients, adding to the authentic Italian experience. The pool area was the most unforgettable highlight. We highly recommend Villa Barberino for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

We're very impressed by Villa Barberino's beauty, it was really a pleasure for us and some kind of a "dream come true" if it goes about Tuscany perfect place. Surely, Villa Barberino personificates all of the mits and gossips of Tuscan beauty and vibe. The people working there were very friendly, always smiled and ready to take care about your smallest needs and desires (they make the food how you want, they make the drinks how you want". The most charming thing for us was the space and surroundings next to the Villa - outstanding gardens, well cared tress and grasses, it was really a joy to look at it every day, espacially during sunrises and sunsets. Lots of photos taken and memories made there, hope to come back there in some years.
People say that breakfast are boring, but I cannot agree with that. Maybe there is always the same every day, but you got many dishes to choose, there are always many option including hams, cheeses, breads, juices, sweets, candies and coffee, so if you stay there for a couple of days, you can take something different each day. So to sum up, what I have written below, it is not even a disadvantage.

A complex located on a rather large area, which is part of a former 14th (probably) century castle. It is not as grand and ostentatious as the villas built at the turn of the last century, but the entire complex has been tastefully renovated and both buildings and gardens are well maintained. Often hotels in old villas are quite run down and this hotel was a pleasant exception and everything here is in good condition. NB! The owners also live in the same territory. Our room (408) was quite ascetic. Judging by the pictures, many of the rooms are much nicer and better decorated. There was also a possibility to make coffee in the room. The pool is not very big, but big enough to swim a little. The pool area looks good and is nicely designed, there is also a separate pool bar. Check-out is at 11:00, but you are allowed to stay a little longer if you want to spend time by the pool. There is a separate shower room and a place where you can change clothes. About 15 minutes drive from the highway. The famous The Mall outlet is also about 15 minutes drive away. The breakfast was good, according to the Italian custom, the selection of sweet cakes was particularly large, but luckily the selection of savory food was also sufficient. The dinner was good, but based on the previous rave reviews, I expected more.
There was no big mirror in the room, the only mirror was in the bathroom above the sink. There were no toothbrush holders in the bathroom. There is no sunshade by the pool, but there are a few trees where you can go under the shade. There were also horseflies by the pool, but fortunately not many, and unfortunately you can't get away from them in the countryside. There may be a shortage of sunbeds during peak hours. From the reception and the parking lot to the rooms it is quite a long cobbled road and the wheels of the suitcase do not move on such a road, but the reception will take you there with a golf cart if necessary.

The whole place is Tuscany's movie like! It's charming, beautiful and gives luxury vibes. We liked the room (vibes and space), food (both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant), pool... Very very very nice experience, would recommend to everyone! 😊
The staff at information center could be more proactive in giving information about facilities and overall stay...they were of course friendly, no issues there, but you have to ask everything, and answers are always short

Everything went very amazingly!! Location was great. Wine was amazing. Breathtaking views. Super friendly staff. Swimming pool area is mesmerizing.
To be improved: Junior suite that was not that amazing to be a suite, it looked much like a regular room. Small points of attention could really turn the room in a completely different environment. Indeed, usually when you book such rooms you get additional amenities (example: bathrobe, slippers, toothbrush, etc). These things were not present in our room even if it was a suite; my suggestion would be to include these. Also, it would be great to receive at least a small gesture (ex. plate of fruit or bottle of wine)

we had an amazing 5 night stay at the hotel! the room was cozy, clean and very comfortable. dinner at the restaurant is highly recommend, this because of the great food and relax (romantic) atmospher.
in our room there was only a bath and were unable to attach the shower head on to the wall. this needs some attention, because it was very unpractical. the breakfast is very simple and without much variation

This is one of the best hotel during our 2 weeks vacations in Italy. The place is a dream and every corner is beautiful. The staff is amazing. We arrive early and our room was not ready but they rushed so we were able to do the check in earlier. The dinner was amazing and also the breakfast surprises me very positively. Also the pool was really nice and the service there real efficient.

The estate is beyond beautiful. It definitely exceeded our expectations, although the pictures via Booking were already amazing. It is like a tiny village - fresh lemon trees, beautiful gardens, lake views, a gorgeous relaxing pool. It was our favorite hotel during our “Tuscany tour”! Staff was very friendly too, had many recommendations. The beds are very comfortable, good air conditioning, a small fridge and even a Nespresso in the room. The room was spacious and provided nice views too.
The restaurant we had dinner was so so. The hotel arranged a gorgeous dinner to celebrate the start of summer with a preset menu. My boyfriend was still hungry afterwards (it wasn’t that much to be honest). And the quality in Italy was expected better. However, lunch at the pool was really good!
