There are areas in all parts of the hotel inside and outside to sit and relax or chat. The hotel had a large pool. The restaurant has a private beach view making for spectacular views. The breakfast was excellent having a large variety of items to choose from ( even a table full of desserts) with the food and fruits of good quality. The room we had was very large with medium sized bathroom. Our room included a huge patio balcony with table and chairs. The hotel was a short distance from Giovinazzo that is a delightful town to visit and have lunch or dinner. The main lobby staff and restaurant staff was very nice. A local bus does run and stop nearby the hotel. Just know where the bus stop is to return correctly.

Being closer to the airport ( the main reason I choose this hotel) makes it farther than desired to return to Bari. Taxi or Uber costs are higher for that reason. The hotel does not offer a lunch option and us not having a car available we had to use the bus and go to Giovinazzo for lunch each day. Remember the bus stop and where it is as we missed the stop to return to the hotel thinking we had to exit at the bus stop where the ticket said. That is not the bus stop for the hotel, but about a mile away. We had to walk a long distance to return to the hotel as there are no other buses that pass often. The shower was extremely tight.

Access to the beach club is great. Breakfast was great and accommodated gluten-free options. Friendly staff, helped us to rent a car for a day trip. Special thanks to Anna Marie who was amazing and helped with any ask we had. The restaurant has an amazing view.

The shuttle service is not very clear (apparently there is a free one we were not informed about). The local bus is unavailable on Sundays and tickets can only be purchased in the hotel by cash.

"Riva del Sole" hotel is a great facility located in Giovinazzo, literally 10m from Bari International Airport (BRI). Beyond the main hotel structure, the site is also hosting private residences for local / international owners, within the same premises. We stayed at the facility as "base" to visit the region from Trani to Polignano a Mare, from Bari to other nice small towns in the area. While the buildings might have a certain "age", the management and the facility team works hard and put effort in maintaining clean, organized and in order. The rocky beach is a 5m walk from the main hotel reception, and - as per the local coastal area of Giovinazzo - rarely offers sand but nice rocks with transparent water: the hotel beach team has build a pedestrian pathwalk and ladder down to the water to facilitate walking and diving in the sea. Very efficient and diverse organization on the beach, with shaded beds, cabins, bar with music and serving also lunch, a nice small restaurant. Amazing buffet breakfast, with high quality local food - including fresh mozzarella, ricotta and focaccia - espresso, cappuccino, yogurt. Nice and professional personnel always available. Fast WLAN internet access, outdoor swimming pool and good organization for entertainment at the facilities. Free parking and 24/7 security is included and supporting.

Rooms appear a bit "old-fashioned" and not spacious, suggest a renovation especially in one of the 2 x buildings. We travelled with 3 x teen-aging kids from abroad, and with an extra-bed together with large suitcases... no space left to walk or "live-in".

It's a nice resort and our room was quite spacious & comfortable. The breakfast was really great & the staff was nice & helpful. The resort is right by the sea & the beach club is quite cool (they have entertainment at night).

I think this place needs a bit of a refurbishment as the decor is quite antiquated. The shower was super small (even though the bathroom had a good size). One thing that really bugged me is that we were asked to wear a swimming cap at the pool. I mean, this was not a therapy pool, it was a leisure pool. The food at the hotel restaurant was good, but they were short of staff.

We loved laying by the sea in the deck chairs. The surrounding trees and flowers around the hotel are beautiful. All staff were great and very helpful. The breakfast was exceptional as was our dinner in the restaurant.

Location was a bit far from anything.We got cabs as we didn't realise there were buses. Hotel could do a welcome pack in each room, with lots of Information in about buses, trains etc. Also we tried getting english channels on tv, couldn't find them. We asked for a free upgrade of room, was told would need to pay. Our room wasn't the best , but it was clean. Would have liked to swim in the pool but it was closed until June. It was so hot! It seems that out of season nothings looked after enough. As while we were there everything was getting painted and cleaned. It should be looked after all year. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Check in was smooth and the information provided was very clear. We stayed in the self catering apartments. Very spacious and very clean. Staff were very pleasant, and there are lifeguards on duty near the pool and at the beach. Wifi is free and the signal is strong. Overall very good accommodation.

The lack of gluten free options at the beach bar for our kids, Waiting almost one and a half hours at the restaurant to get served a pizza, competing for deck chairs in the weekend.

The hotel was really nice . Excellent outdoor swimming pooky(but you need a swimming cap at 3 euros . We didn’t use beach equipment eg parasols but we did enjoy swimming in sea. Breakfast was good and we especially enjoyed the custard croissants. Although getting a coffee was time consuming at breakfast and could be improved . We got taxis in too Bari which was an experience but we did get bus which was fine . Resturant good and overlooked the sea/sunset which was beautiful.

I’d always like a kettle and ability to have a hot drink .

We enjoyed our stay a lot. Great breakfast, place close by the sea, clean rooms. The beach area looks lovely, but was not really open whilst we were there, despite it being September.

We were not given much Info at check-in so had to ask for a lot later, but that was fine. The beach area was empty when we there, I.e. no service offered like coffee, drinks, or mattresses for the day beds. To be fair, the weather was not hot, but it was also not bad, as we had no rain, just clouds. We could still sit there, but with a little extra effort the hotel could have made it an even better experience.

Lovely hotel located at the sea coast. It has a nice surrounding, beautiful garden. Swimming pool was very clean. Pool towels cost 3 EUR if you want to use. We had very good food at the restaurant. I recommend to book a table for the evening time. Very supportive stuff. Bikes available to rent free of charge. You can have a ride to Giovinazzo which is 4km away. Hotel offers shuttles from /to the airport. At some timeline they are free of charge. If you order private shuttle you pay 25 EUR per room.

Bad condition of the bikes we rented. No furniture at the balcony No hanger for the hand towel in the bathroom.

Hotel Riva del Sole in Giovinazzo is a lovely hotel at the water’s edge. We were comfortable and dined at the restaurant two of the nights we stayed there. The “central” location provided us the opportunity for day trips to some outstanding locations including Aberobello, Rimini, Apulia, Matera…to name a few. You won’t be disappointed.
