I would like to highlight hospitality of the hotel staff and a great location of the hotel really close to the promenade near the sea.

When you arrive to Grado by car, it can take longer time to find a parking spot.

A very charming and personal place in a great location. We stayed one night after doing the Alpe-Adria bike route which ends in Grado. They have a locked yard where you can keep your bikes securely. Their little dog adds a lot to the welcome 😉.

The best marmelade-filled croissants I ever had in Italy! Coffee was very good as well. Very friendly and helpful staff!

Wireless LAN was a real problem, there is simply not enough capacity or it doesn’t work at most times.

The hotel is really good located, the room is nice and comfortable. The breakfast is good as well.

The owner speaks only Italian and German, sometimes the communication was not easy with him. Only a few cars can park in the courtyard, others have to look for a parking place on the small island nearby.

The location is excellent with many bars and restaurants in the area and only a few minutes walk to the beach.

The rooms are quite basic and dated, and the walls a very thin so you can basically hear everything your neighbors are up to. Someone on my floor left their dogs alone in the room and they spent hours barking. The staff are very nice but unless you speak Italian or German you might have some issues.

the location was central and it was good that we had the rooms to the backside. the owners were very sweet and said they'd help us in any way, although they didn't.

we arrived and our passports were kept for an entire day, they lay there for everyone to see or take. we wanted them to put them somewhere safer and after a "yes, yes and haha don't worry" from the owner they stayed there until we got them back. that's not secure in times of identities being compromised, we could expect our wished to be respected. we stayed 3 nights and had booked the rooms with breakfast. we only went there once because the eggs were green inside and smelled like fish, the rest of the food looked old. we didn't feel sick but quite disgusted. I get that in a time close to the off season they will put guest closer to each other. However since the key attachments are too big they bump against the door and it simply wakes you up. the rooms where clean but also quite simple. it's not a problem since it was very clean. the shower is very small, quite small for a tall or wider person.

They were not friendly. We asked for a bottle opener and did not get it but other guests had no problem getting a bottle opener for their wine. We had to ask in a restaurant nearby and it was no problem there. We wanted to leave our luggage on the last day in the hotel for 2 hours and it was a real hassle. We had to ask 3 times and they were very dismissive. However, other guests could leave their luggage there and it seemed to be no problem. Breakfast was bad for the price. The coffee was really bad. It tasted a bit like instant coffee. It was possible to get better coffee but you had to pay extra which was in my opinion not ok for the price.
