Fantastic location, right in the heart of the old town. Staff are kind and helpful. They have a storage area for bikes if you need it. Breakfast was great. Drink the espresso or cappuccino from the bar, not the machine. They didn't charge extra. Highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautifully restored hotel in the heart of Grosetto. Known to us as the “old lady,” this historic gem was built in 1912 and combines classic elegance with all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Every corner of the hotel exudes character, from the thoughtfully selected art pieces that grace the walls to the beautiful wooden furnishings that give a warm, timeless feel. The location couldn’t be more ideal. Just outside the front doors, you’ll find yourself amidst a vibrant selection of restaurants, bars, and shops, making it the perfect base for exploring the town. Despite being centrally located, parking was surprisingly easy—there’s a convenient lot right outside the Roman Mural, only 100 metres from the hotel. A special shout-out to Mrs. Lorena, who went above and beyond each morning at breakfast. Her kindness and attentiveness added to the welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast itself was a delightful spread, catering to all tastes and dietary preferences. I had the best scrambled eggs ever! For those who appreciate the charm of historic design, artistic touches, and the convenience of modern comforts, this hotel is an exceptional choice. Highly recommended!

We loved the charm of this grand old hotel, beautifully decorated and the perfect location right inside the old city walls. The staff were excellent, friendly and full of good recommendations. Parking is very close by and convenient (you can stop right outside the hotel for half an hour to offload your bags, just make sure to tell the reception so they can take a photo and make the necessary arrangements). The deluxe room was very clean and spacious, breakfast was delicious. Some people mention that the carpets etc are a little dated, but to be honest this is probably why the value for money is so good, so for us it was perfect. 10/10

A bit of dated, provincial glory, but then it matches most of Grosseto, as far as I could tell. Not quite 4 stars, but certainly adequate with helpful staff. Pleasant surroundings inside the walled town. Fluffy towels, good soundproofing, comfy breakfast restaurant with adequate buffet, though somewhat limited. They have a pancake robot!

My room was a bit claustrophobic or gloomy. Nothing serious. Poorly placed soap bottles are a pain. Odd light switches with relays.

Really friendly staff who recommended and booked an amazing restaurant. Bike storage which was safe and secure and really friendly breakfast staff with good quality. Location perfect to walk around and catch the bus to the beach!

I knew before I arrived as it was the room I selected but be aware you cannot open any windows in the room. This might not be for everyone.

We love the people at the hotel.They are very accommodating, friendly and display a positive outlook towards their guests. The breakfast is very good and the room was clean and spacious.We definitely enjoyed our stay in Grosseto.

Everything was very good at the hotel but I would definitely remove the old carpet in the corridor and the rooms.

Only problem was it was so noisy A banging sound every 20 mins… may have been a door, then drunk people in the lobby shouting all over the place, with no staff in the hotel over night, it could have esculated.
