Location is amazing as we were just across the road from the ski lifts. Apartment is very comfortable and has been fitted out to high standard, however, see what we didn't like for comments

Very noisy, lots of work going on at night for ski racing this week which we were not aware. Our apartment faced onto the ski slopes and plaza area. One of the external bedroom doors could not be shut (the lock was completely broken). It was reported but nothing happened, Still broken when we left. Several of the external shutters, door to balcony from lounge, lounge area window, and a few others, were broken so could not be lowered to reduce night time noise levels. Kitchen has one power outlet so cannot use microwave and kettle at same time. As these are self catering apartments that is very restrictive when trying to cook.

Well appointed and spacious room for 4 single adults on ski holiday. Large balcony for ski and boot storage. Very close proximity to ski lifts (50 meters) , supermarket and bars.. Easy 10 minutes walking distance to town. Good ski area and not busy when we were there - 1st week of March. Courmayeur is 25 minutes away if you fancy an alternative day out.

You need to be aware that this is a large complex and if your apartment or room is near the central area you will get a considerable amount of night noise - club music, band and people talking loudly in the square. You might want to consider bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper !

Great location. Nicely done rooms. Very friendly staff. Bathrooms were new and nice.

It’s a ski resort village. A little hard to find the correct building and room from the check in desk. We all suffered from some sort of allergies in the room. Outside we were completely fine. Maybe there were pets beforehand or some sort of dust mites. Rooms were clean though and the bathrooms very nice. Newly done. Maybe the curtains were dusty? Maybe they just need a deep clean. Elevators were a bit scary because the doors close pretty quickly and don’t really open again even if you try and hold it open. Guests with small children should be warned.

Good location New renovation Ski school , rental shop everything is in 5min. Kind staff Will come again in February, because my kids really want to.

It would be great to have gym

Although the booking was for two two bedroom apartments one had only one bedroom and a small single room and we were expected to use the living area to sleep. Reception staff initially refused to change the accommodation until we insisted. The system for booking is very poor and needs addressing. We have stayed at the Planibel for over twenty years and we were treated appallingly. Furthermore, we were not permitted the key to the second room which was booked in my name until the party arrived. This occurred after 11 pm and my grandchildren, one of which is disabled, had to wait to access their room. This is an antiquated system given that I had paid for the room already.

Very happy with our stay here - we have stayed at the planibel around 4 times over the years as we love to Skii - however this time was the best as the refurbishment works are amazing! The hotel has really levelled up and the prices are so reasonable for what you get. We travelled with family and two of us didnt skii so was lovely to have a huge room with a balcony facing the slopes to watch everything. The location is amazing - and the facilites around the hotel are great - you have everything you need - supermarket / coffee / lunch / dinner / spa&swimming pool / clothing shops etc etc. Planibel is the only place we would choose to stay when skiing for years to come :)

We stayed in the residence and our 2 bed apartment was overlooking the piste, it was an incredible location! We didn't use any of the hotel facilities as it was very expensive, but we didn't need them, the skiing was fabulous. We felt that there wasn't that many places to eat and the village restaurants got really booked up, so advisable to book beforehand. The apartment was really spacious with a private balcony to store our skis. The kitchen didn't have any condiments, salt and pepper, washing up liquid etc. but there is a good shop nearby. Just about enough cutlery, but the kitchen needed more equipment, it was very sparse, we didn't cook in it much. Beds v. comfy and loads of space. We love La Thuile, we skied the mountain a few trimes, this was the first time staying there and we loved it, we would definitely come back.

More places to eat!

Proximity to the lifts and to restaurants and shops as well as walking distance to the village of La Thuile.

WiFi is weak, no self-service laundry facilities, usage of pool for residents in the apartments not included and the rates are not reasonable, no basic kitchen items such as salt, pepper, cooking oil, sponge or dishwashing liquid. Quite wasteful ti have to purchase a whole bottle of dishwashing soap for 4 nights. We’ve stayed at other ski apartment resorts like this in the past and a bag with dishrag, sponge and small bottle 50ml of dishwashing liquid were given upon arrival. Would have liked to see a list in the apartments with emergency contact info and closest trauma center as many come from outside of Italy. Apartments facing the main square can be very noisy on Friday and Saturday nights as the music from the local bar plays late.

Superb location, great room, ski services. THLand (the kids club) and its excellent staff are a big plus.

My tenth time or so at the Planibel in 25+ years - albeit the first one in winter - and the lack of a washing machine in the apartment or self service laundromat in the residence remains a substantial minus of the experience. Customer service skills vary - as always given how often they change.

Location is amazing, couldn't be any better to be honest. The cost was affordable for room, drink and food. Staff were courteous and very welcoming! Lovely atmosphere and it was nice that the bar area was lively in the evening.

Bed was a little firm, but that is expected for the amount of turnover at the apartment. If they could leave some dish cleaning items in the kitchen, that would be very useful. Just some soap and a dish scrubber.
