This experience surpassed our expectations by far. The hospitality from the hosts was 5-star; the nicest family we have met during our vacation in Italy. Our room was huge, clean and with a beautiful view of the mountain across the road. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic. The location of the hotel by the side of the mountains is amazing. Quiet, away from the crowds but at the same time very close to popular places like Cortina d’Ampezzo; possibly only 25-30 minutes by car (if you don’t stop several times like we did to enjoy the spectacular views). We can’t wait to plan a return to La Baita and the Dolomites

Walter and the family at La Baita were so lovely and accommodating. They personally picked us up from the Lagazuoi chairlift to the hotel when we were in desparate need for accomodation on night 2 of our Alta Via 1 hike. The accomodation itself was super lovely and charming with an amazing a la carte dinner menu and breakfast. Thank you!

We didn't have any issues with the accomodation. Everything was perfect!

Lovely old building, had space for bikes to be parked. Breakfast was included, and a nice selection. Nice location to walk and see an old castle.

Only downside for us - we didn't think the dinner was good value for money. This is based on staying in similar properties in the Dolomites and eating dinner at the accommodation as we did at La Baita.

A beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Our suite was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with great views from the balcony. The bed was very comfortable and the suite was beautifully furnished. Breakfast (and evening meals) were freshly prepared and lovely.

We had a lovely stay. The hotel is in quite an isolated location which may not be ideal for everyone, but for a quiet, cozy one night stay we enjoyed it. It is also close to Castello Di Andraz which we did not visit but would have if we stayed another day. The staff were all friendly, cheerful and helpful. Our rooms were fine with comfortable beds and the WiFi connection was good (we were on the first floor). We also thought the restaurant, in contrast to some other reviews, was good value for money and served quite delicious food. The breakfast was on par with other places we have stayed in the area recently. Overall it is maybe on the older side but we didn't think it felt run-down, rather quite a traditional institution which is still going strong!

As below the location might be a little remote for some. It is also right off a road which was loud at times when trucks or busses passed, but this didn't happen very often, and not at all overnight.

Hotel at a great spot with nice views od the nature. Hosts are welcoming and the food in the restaurant is really nice. Rooms are simple but enough for a good rest. Parking available right next to the hotel.

The sauna is amazing! Great amenity. The dinner was also really great. Breakfast was simple, but better than other included breakfasts we had on our trip.

The wifi only really worked downstairs, it didn’t work well in the rooms. Not much insulation between the walls so you can hear your neighbors easily but it wasn’t a problem.

It's a family-run hotel, which makes it feel warmer and ensures that everyone is genuinely interested in making you happy and satisfied. The room is very clean and big with marvelous view.

The bathroom and bedroom were quite spacious. The breakfast was lovely.

No elevator in the property and there is no place for you to place your soap and shampoo in the shower. Roads lead up to hotel are quite windy so be prepared.
