My wife and I recently stayed at Gocce di Capri Resort near Sorrento, and we were thoroughly impressed. The room was bright, spacious, and exceptionally clean, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The view from the room was breathtaking—you can see the full view of Capri and the expansive sea right from the balcony. The service was extraordinary, with every staff member being so kind and attentive. We would especially like to mention the team staff member, Mike, who was incredibly generous and went above and beyond when we had an outstanding request. The room cleanliness was impeccable, and the overall experience felt like staying in a 4.5-star resort. It was worth every penny we spent. We had a wonderfully romantic stay and absolutely loved it. We certainly plan to return!

The Pros: -The view!! We also had a sea view apartment so that was perfect! -Apartment was very clean and was cleaned once during our 1-week stay -The staff is very kind -The restaurant is very convenient and the food there really good! we ate there 4 times! -Free parking available (although if you get in late sometimes we had to park on the street)

The Cons: -The mattresses are very firm, can't say it was very comfortable -The kitchen needs an overhaul- no oven and the (gas) stove is old too. There are no basic ingredients like salt/pepper/oil available so keep that in mind if you're planning to cook. -It takes 25-30 min to get to Sorrento on curvy and narrow mountain roads. You definitely need your own car (which we knew), but it ended up being a bit inconvenient to do all the activities in the area.

The location was excellent, and the sea view from our terrace was absolutely gorgeous! We were lucky to receive a room upgrade, but even the original room had a superb view. Our room was also very clean, especially the bathroom—everything was spotless, and all the utilities worked perfectly. What truly stood out, though, was the staff—they were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. Especially Christina at the reception, very friendly :)

Unfortunately, the wine selection was quite limited. While rosé was available on the menu at noon, it was no longer offered by dinnertime, so we had to switch our preferred choice to white wine instead. As for breakfast, we didn’t opt for the full set, as the kitchen was unable to prepare omelettes as requested—they could only offer boiled eggs. The breakfast offering is fine for those who prefer a light meal, such as coffee with a pastry or toast and jam or cured meat, but it's a bit lacking for someone like me who enjoys a full English breakfast.

Location is amazing (seeview everywhere and facing the island of Capri). Staff was charming. Food was excelent (the hotel restaurant was maybe the best we have experienced during our trip). We had an appartment with seeview. It was clean and confortable.

It would have been great if both rooms had seeview but this was not a problem. We did not use the kitchen / living room nor the terrasse so we would have been better with a smaller appartment having 2 rooms facing the sea !

We travelled to Sorrento area in order to visit the whole area around, and this place is an excellent choice for that, because it is in the between of all the interesting places (Amalfi, Pompei, Sorrento, Capri...). The view to the Sorrento Bay and Capri Island is absolutely breath taking! The whole stuff, especially Michele, were great hosts, we really felt that somebody takes care of us!

The staff were incredible. Extremely helpful with any questions or needs you had. Very good English speaking. Antonio and Fabio in the pool bar were particularly helpful and their espresso martinis were fantastic! The rooms were very large, very well equipped and there were plenty of towels provided. We had an apartment for 2 adults and 2 children and the main bedroom for us was huge! You could have fit 3 double beds in there, it was very generous. The balcony also was very large. We had a table for 6 and sun loungers with plenty of free space. Food at the restaurant was lovely, we enjoyed some dine in evening meals and the beef especially was incredible. Also the pizzas were fantastic 👏🏼 Our children like a basic margarita, they were 12" and €5. Amazing! There are recycling bins provided at each property which we loved. The view looking over to Capri is just stunning. The location of the property is fabulous. While we were there we visited Naples, Sorrento, Ravello, Amalfi and Positano. This hotel is very central and easy to commute to any of these locations. There is parking on site if you have a hire car, roughly 10-15 spaces and entry to the hotel iitself is only possible with a key to lift barrier. Very safe.

The pool needs emptying and cleaning, then refilling. The floor of it was very dirty. The water itself was clean as there was a robotic cleaner in it. We visited at the beginning of the season I don’t know why cleaning of the floor wasn’t carried out over the winter. It was absolutely freezing in the pool but that isn't a huge problem. The showers are very small. It is a 45° cubicle inserted into the bathroom with a folding door. I am a size 10 female and it was tight. If I was of a larger build I would have really struggled to fit.

We were very impressed with the view from our apartment, it was very spacious and had a lovely walk in shower. The restaurant food and staff were both amazing. the hotel is a little drive from Sorrento but was very tranquil and relaxing. and the pool was very clean and well maintained.

you cant walk anywhere from the hotel as the roads are narrow and no footpaths make it dangerous. parking is quite tricky as its all on a slope.

everything!! our room was an apartment!! a very useful well appointed/stocked kitchenette and living room area - shower room - bedroom with TV and access to personal balcony that affords you uninterrupted views to Capri, Ischia and the whole of Naples bay - as does the pool area, the restaurant and breakfast room. wifi works very well Restaurant serves authentic beautiful Italian food Breakfast room serves your breakfast and strong black coffee (my morning necessity!), other coffees obviously, in a relaxed environment secure parking My wife and I highly recommend this hotel which I’m so pleased I found - we would come back again if and when time and money allows. we’ve already recommended to friends. incidentally the hotel is obviously set up in the hills, the driving to and from the hotel to the airport, attractions in Sorrento, Amalfi etc is an ‘experience’ but we are so pleased we did. Thank you to all at the hotel for our 4 night stay

nothing!! it’s that lovely - you will regret not staying

When we first arrived, I was disappointed and upset at the location of the property (and felt mislead by a travel agent). I felt it was too far away (time-wise due to the terrain) from the things we wanted to do and inconvenient to shops and dining. I COULDN’T HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG. It IS an out-of-the-crowded-way gem in a quiet town in Sorrento, but close enough to the action to enjoy that too. The apartments were immaculate, conveniently and comfortably appointed, and competitively priced. The property is lovely, with a fantastic pool and deck area. The cafe and Restaurant Tonno & Company made it unnecessary and undesirable to go anywhere else for food - the offerings were plentiful and beyond delicious and satisfying. But the true reasons to stay here are: the incomparable view of the bay, the Isle of Capri, the setting sun …. AND THE PERSONNEL (owners and housekeeping included)! What a beautiful and perfectly lovely group of people - they are the icing on the cake! First, they clearly enjoy their profession and are happy to be there. Then … they are warm, inviting, smart, talented, hard-working people. So accommodating, so enthusiastic. They introduced us to several wonderful, worthwhile activities in the area. And saw to our comfort and enjoyment when we were in-house. We felt like we were staying in a dear-friend’s guest house. (In fact, every other guest … and there were quite a few, all super people from across the globe … felt like fast-friends.). After just four days, we were sad to be leaving them. Thank you Christina, Danieli, Fabio, Andrea, Giovanna, Antonio, Tonino, Antonio and Chef, Marco and the Mrs. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
