Beautiful view and property. Grounds are immaculate. Breakfast was exceptional. Beds were comfortable and free parking was great to have. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was nicely decorated with lots of windows. Furniture in main areas was very nice. Liked the bar service in the evening as well. Had a couple times we needed maintenance to come help us figure something out and they came quickly and helped us which was appreciated.

I did not realize how the property was situated as it was very high up and many the rooms are not close to the main building. We had a car do drove to the main building for breakfast and the pool. We had a apartment style place. The design is odd as no proper seating in the main area except a pull put bed but to sit on it not comfortable. It is just a oddly designed space. Bathroom was ok small for 4 people but the shower was extremely small. Furniture inside was more Ikea like which doesn't match the value of everywhere else on the property. Next time would stay in the main building with 2 connecting rooms. Staff was helpful in trying to change our room but they were fully booked.

The view is simply stunning. The pool is a little old to look at, but lovely to be in. The landscaping and surrounds are beautiful. The daily breakfast options are generous. The dining menu and quality are top class. And the staff were attentive, helpful, polite and genuinely interested in making our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

Tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been nice. Ice-trays in the fridge would be good. The shared outdoor furniture isn't ideal – there should be a greater sense of privacy between adjacent rooms.

After 3 weeks of travelling and a long drive from Lecce, it was lovely to take some time out and just relax at this resort. The amenities were excellent, the view from our balcony exceptional and we had one of our best meals in Puglia, at the in house restaurant.

The sofa bed, as a couch, was a bit uncomfortable to sit on for a long time. But this is a minor gripe as we spent most of our time on sun beds on the patio.

Fantastic apartment terrace with good furniture and a spectacular view of the bay. Good bathroom size, useful kitchenette with ample utensils/pans and the bed was very comfortable with useful wardrobes in the bedroom. The reception and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay and the gardens were lovely.

The lounge/diner was sparse and needed another comfortable chair for when 2 or more people stay.

Incredible stay at this unique hotel. We went for the view, the pool and the breakfast, and we were not deceived. The rooms are clean and comfortable, equipped with air conditioning, a relaxing shower, a huge fridge and even a small dishwasher and a washing machine. The location is perfect with a small supermarket just a few minutes away. I recommend asking for a room on the 2nd floor of the buildings up the hill so you get the best view. We had room number 349 and it was lovely. The staff was very accommodating during our stay. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is good, but way overpriced for the quality of the food, although it is very well presented. We enjoyed not having to drive to enjoy dinner.

The hotel is situated in a dreamy location. Overlooking Mattinata bay and surrounded by olive trees. The staff is helpful and polite. The apartment has everything one needs.

Everyone was so kind and helpful. They made you feel comfortable and accompanied every need we had coming off the ferry from Split, Croatia with little sleep

Everything was wonderful. Eat at the restaurant, you'll find it one of the best meals in Italy!!

We liked the location up on the hill and a big private garden that came with our room. It was good to have a kitchennnete with the dishwasher, washing mashine a a microwave, so we could stay in and cook on some evenings. There are a few restaurants on the seaside, though, overall, Mattinata is a small place and you will enjoy quiet evenings if it is what you are looking for. The beach pass was discounted (20 euros even at the weekend in June 2022), and the beach (Gardino del Monsignore) itself was great, with good facilities and accommodating staff. If you do not have a car and do not want to pay for the beach, you can walk down the hill to a public beach (up to 15 min). Forest Umbra is about 45 min drive, with pleasant walks in shady beautiful woods.

Breakfast could be better, though, it had all essentials, the choice could be bigger. Fresh orange juice was watered down a few times, which was a bit disappointing. You need a car to get to the beach as it is a long walk down the hill - it used be a shuttle before COVID, so you better check with the hotel, if it is back in service. Swimming pool was more of a landshaft design feature than a facility to use.

The view is amazing. We particularly liked the semi-private terrace outside the rooms facing the sea, where it is possible to sit and relax. The staff were polite and friendly. The quality of the food in the restaurant was very good, as was the selection at breakfast.
