The location of this family-run hotel is amazing — right next to the coast, offering great value for money. There’s a smaller beach below the hotel; you can walk down the road to reach it or take the elevator, which is very convenient. There are also two nice beaches about 20 minutes from the hotel: Spiaggia La Marinella in Sant’Agnello and Lido Marinella in Meta. It’s really close to the railway station. I had a room with a sea view, which was absolutely breathtaking. The room was very clean, as were the bedsheets and towels, which were changed every day. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless and modern. The entire staff were efficient and kind. They even offered to pick me up from the station upon arrival (though it wasn’t necessary). After check-out, Toni, the owner, kindly offered me a lift to the station, which I happily accepted. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay!

We stayed here for 3 nights. View from the balcony is stunning. Comfy bed, was double but bigger. Our room was clean and bright. Air Con good. Breakfast lovely, cereals, fruit, pastries ( lemon cake, tarts, variety of croissants), ham, cheese, rolls, baps, scrambled egg, bread. You are in Italy so no Full Irish. Teas, coffees & hot chocolate are self service. It was served in the restaurant. We didn't use the hot tub, pool, the restaurant in the evenings or the Spa so can't comment on them. The view from the restaurant is stunning.There is also an outdoor dining area beside it. Fresh towels each day, shower/bathroom basic with hot water. Hotel owner Tony & staff were very hospitable, got a welcome drink whether it be water, soft drink etc He brought us to the train station and collected us, for free. If you get a taxi it will cost you €20 and the station isn't that far away. He gave us a train timetable so you can plan your journey times. The main hub with restaurants is down at the Marino, you go down a steep windy hill but views are fab, you can get the lift up and down for €1 each way if you wish. Sorrento town is 5 mins on the train, only about €1.50 per ticket. We went out each day so only used it as a B & B. If that's what you're looking for I would recommend this hotel. We would go back.

We had a truly excellent stay at HR Hotel & SPA. The rooms were very comfortable, well equipped, and had a fantastic direct view of the sea – waking up to that scenery was definitely one of the highlights of our experience. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We would especially like to highlight the hospitality of Toni, one of the owners, who welcomed us with great warmth. He was always available to provide us with useful information and tips on what to see and do in the area, helping us make the most of our time there. On the day of check-out, he even kindly offered to take us to the train station – a gesture we truly appreciated. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to return soon!

The location is very nice, the room was clean and the view from the balcony was amazing 👏 Breakfast was nice, very helpful staff . The receptionist and the man who in the hotel took very good care of us by offering to bring us to the train station and gave us great info how to travel from there on. Very satisfied with them 😊 We'll definitely come back.

The only thing that can be improved is the inventory of the balcony. The floor, table and suroundings could be better, just to complete the stunning view they can be renovated and updated. The terrace in the restaurant is a great spot for the people to enjoy the stunning scenery as well, but needs a bit of magic touch in order to complete the relaxation and enjoyment in the hotel.

Please note this review is for the Britannia Hotel (same company) we were transferred to. Firstly, all the staff here were wonderful, and couldn't have been more responsive, helpful and charming, getting our stay in Italy off to a great start. We had a spacious, super clean room with seaview balcony from where we could see Vesuvius. We enjoyed the welcome jacuzzi and lovely terrace and it was nice to be able to have a drink, hot or cold during the day. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of food with again, very lovely staff. The wifi was excellent. Also great was the location with a bus stop right outside with 15min journey into Sorrento centre or station, and a very reasonably priced and lovely restaurant about three doors away. Very highly recommended.

We would have loved if the jacuzzi had been available after 6.00pm as well.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sorrento. The staff is exceptionally helpful, and the owners—especially (Tony) was truly wonderful. he provided pickup and dropoff service from the station, which made our travel so convenient. he also assisted us with all the ferry bookings and other queries. The hotel’s location is absolutely mesmerising, high above with a direct sea view that allows you to enjoy breathtaking sunsets every evening.

Great spot and views are stunning. Staff were really welcoming and helpful (they dropped me to the bus stop for transfer to Naples airport after I checked out!). Building is a little older, but was very clean and everything comfortable. Some lovely restaurants / pizzerias nearby. Handy to train station where the train was only 4 mins to Sorrento. Great value for money (when compared to Sorrento).

My recent experience at Hotel la ripetta was exceptional, thanks in large part to the incredible kindness and professionalism of Gina at the reception. Her warm smile and helpfulness made my stay extremely enjoyable from the get-go. The hotel rooms were cozy and comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. The hotel's spa was a true oasis of relaxation, with rejuvenating treatments and a soothing atmosphere. Kudos to Gina and the rest of the staff for the excellent service and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. I can't wait to come back!

Everything is great there

The hotel front office staff were great, nothing was too much trouble, etc directions, additional items required for the room and even different room options. Liked the personal touch at breakfast. Beautiful location. The hotel could do with modernisation, however it does have character.
