Location was 4 minute walk to the station, the town of Piano is very cute and away from the hordes of tourists that stay in Sorrento. But only 2 train stops away from Sorrento for easy access to boats and train lines.Our room was clean and very comfortable. The hotel is on the 2nd floor, if you don’t like stairs, perhaps choose somewhere else. Our host, Gennaro, cooked us a perfect breakfast each morning on the picturesque terrace, and also made excellent coffee. He even offered to book us on boat to Capri , taking no extra booking fee! If you want a quiet, cute hotel with delicious breakfast, highly recommend.

Walls a little thin, can hear neighbours kids chatting loudly in Italian at night, but not a deal breaker!

We arrived by train from Rome tired and bedraggled and felt like we'd stepped into an enchanted villa. The garden is beautiful, and heavy with the scent of orange blossom. It is impossible not to relax as soon as you walk in. The hotel is on the top 2 floors of the enchanted villa and shares it with another hotel and I think private residences but Gennaio helped us with our bags and the two storeys are up a fairytale spiral staircase so it's difficult to be grumpy about it. Rooms were a good size, private, and well-appointed. Breakfast was excellent. It's a B&B so you are very much left to your own devices which suited us perfectly.

If you're looking for a full service resort hotel, this isn't it. If you don't like walking ups hills from the beach look elsewhere too (maybe a different part of the world!).

The breakfast at the property was delicious. Just made, natural breakfast at a lovely terrace. The place is spacious, very pretty house in a quiet neighborhood. It has a solarium where you can relax and see the sunset, as well as a beautiful garden. Genaro and the staff were really nice and helpful, they take care of the guests very well.

There was not a single thing that we dislike. If anything, I would have liked to be closer form the center of Sorrento, it's only 2 train stops really, but yeah, only that. However, we gain in tranquility and it was definitely peaceful than the crowded streets in the center.

Gennaro was very helpful from the moment I made the reservation. He also made sure they had the necessary gluten free products so I could enjoy breakfast, along with the most beautiful view. Gennaro was very helpful with his local knowledge and recommendations. The location was excellent, only a short walk from the railway station in one direction and the promenade in the other direction. We couldn't even hear the trains, it really was very peaceful. There is a reason it is called Secret Garden and it really did exceed expectations. Both my friend and I fully intend to return.

We loved our stay at The Secret Garden. This beautiful old house is in a wonderful location. It is quiet and so peaceful; the occasional bells from the nearby church are charming. The garden is gorgeous and the scent from the flowers amazing. The rooms are spacious and have ample plugs, make sure you have the correct adaptor. The beach is a 5 minute walk although a steep walk. The staff are wonderful particularly Gennario who couldn;t do more to help us. Above and beyond is an understatement.

Ideal location, friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Felt like a part of the family. Lots of activities available to book via the hotel and we were given lots of good advice to make the most of our time. Delicious freshly made breakfast. Couldn't have asked for any more.

There is no lift at this property and it was up a lot of stairs. It wasn't a big issue for us but something to be aware of. Cars/Taxis cannot get particularly close either so be mindful of this when booking. It is an old secluded building but that is part of its charm.

The location is amazing. The house is surrounded by gorgeous trees and vegetation. The rooms are located at the 4th floor, there are terraces from where you can admire the surroundings. The architecture is authentic and impressive. The hotel is at a 10 minute walking distance from the train station or the port. The staff were very kind and helpful, the gave us important advice and indications, they even made dinner reservations for us at a local restaurant. A good breakfast was served every morning according to our wishes or programme.

We LOVED staying here and would come back again and again! The host was so kind and welcoming. He explained everything about our room clearly, made recommendations of places to visit, offered some excursions to Amalfi for a better price than most places we saw online, and even found us gluten free options for breakfast. The atmosphere of the whole place is peaceful and relaxing. The room was clean, bright, and airy. The room was also only about a 10 min walk to the train station that takes you to Sorrento.

The only thing was that the bed wasn’t super comfortable and the pillows were kind of flat. We didn’t mind because we were only there for a few days and we were so exhausted from traveling we slept well!

Friendly atmosphere. Was very handy for the town and railway station. A nice family run establishment. Genaro, the owner, was so helpful and speaks excellent English. The sitting room was a comfortable place to sit with our friends. It's very quirky. We had a lovely room overlooking the town. The place is spotless. Genaro's mother makes the marmalade,jams, croissants and cakes for breakfast. The gardens are beautiful.

The b & b itself is up 2 flights of very steep stairs and there isn't a lift. There isn't any parking at the hotel and as it's quite tucked away it is hard to find if you have a car. To be fair, Genaro did come to find us in the end and we were only 10 mins from the place but had been driving round for a hour. There are private apartments on the lower levels so just be aware of that.

What a place! It felt really special being able to stay in such a historic house with so much original decor and atmosphere. When we arrived the host was so helpful in booking us a trip to Capri which we took the next morning from the local harbour of Piano di Sorrento. He also offered us a choice of rooms and ours was lovely with great views and such relaxing decoration. The garden surrounding the house is special with wisteria and fruit trees. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of home cooking in a very refined dining room.
