We loved our stay at Hotel Cavour. The position is walking distance to Duomo and MM Turati. The reception - which was highly criticized in other reviews - is indeed very old fashion but in a lovely stylish way. Much more better than modern aseptic hotels. The room on the other side was full of all comforts: lights, plugs, minibar, safe, slippers, amazing shower. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet. The personnel at the reception, in particular the young lady who welcomed us at arrival, was very kind. Room was spotless clean and my husband enjoyed the bar.

Our stay was perfect and we would consider staying there again. We stayed only one night, so space wise it was fine, but if you stay more nights, you need a bigger room than ours, as the wardrobe was a bit on the tiny side. Also, if you use the massage function of the shower, water will overflow in the bathroom. It is a pity.

The breakfast was rich and varied — with fish, fresh vegetables, several types of cheese, and an absolutely gorgeous cappuccino, all served by very kind and attentive staff. I really enjoyed the room as well: super high-tech with colorful lights, newly furnished with modern materials, and a beautiful design. The double-glazed windows blocked out all outside noise completely, which made for an incredibly peaceful night’s sleep.

The hotel does not really offer parking, except for just a couple of spots. The nearest parking is about a 10-minute walk away and costs $50 per 24 hours, and that’s only for relatively small cars.

Rooms very nice . Big and well furnished. Good breakfast which is rare in Italy. Parking!

WiFi catastrophic and sound isolation rudimentary

This hotel is perfectly located to explore all the major sights of the city. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, and we were even allowed to check in as early as 12:00 PM, even though the official check-in time is 3:00 PM. Another great advantage is the late check-out time at 12:00 PM, giving you a relaxed start to your departure day. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, offering everything you could wish for: pancakes, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, fresh coffee, cream-filled croissants, plain croissants, fresh fruit, cold cuts, cheese, and much more. Truly excellent! We would definitely choose this hotel again without hesitation.

Modern, well appointed rooms in a good location for visitors to Milan. Room was quiet. Loved the ironing room on 3rd floor, very handy.

We stayed for 3 nights in mid April 2024, had a rather small double room (with a fully-equipped bathroom with an old-style bathtub with shower), but we were very happy with all the amenities and services. There are three very good things about Hotel Cavour : (1) First, its location is perfect and in walking distance (15 min.) to the city centre. If you go to Milano by train, then two blocks away to the east (4 min. walking) from the central train station (Stazione di Milano Centrale) is Tram No.1 - the oldest tram still running. This tram is very special for its over 80-years age, and it runs just past the Hotel Cavour, and goes straight to the Duomo in the city centre, and then, if you want to go sight-seeing, continue in the same tram to the south-east end of the city centre past the Zforzesco Castle. (2) Second, the Hotel's breakfast is very good, diverse and even generous. (3) Third, we love the hotel's 1970s look and style, and we hope that when, one day, the premises are renovated to become "updated", that they keep the look and feel from the "good old days of this city-centre luxury hotel". One more word, the hotel's restaurant is very good too, we ate there for two dinners during the three-day stay.

Nothing that we did not like.

We didn’t pay for the €15 breakfast… we used the Snack Shop across the street to grab a coffee and go. But the hotel breakfast looked amazing when we walked by it. Just didn’t think it was worth adding it to our budget it. ALL the staff was amazing. On point. Friendly. Helpful.

Hard to pick something out… but I guess you can say our shower was hard to get use too… very small area and hard to step over the tube to get in. So, if you have issues with taking a high step make sure you plan properly.

We only stayed one night but really liked the hotel. Very friendly welcome and a wonderful double aspect room on the 1st floor, at the back so very peaceful. The front of the hotel is being refurbished, so whilst our room was more dated we actually really liked it. Very large and comfortable bed, a TV with all BBC channels, good bathroom. Breakfast was good and the waiter absolutely charming. Very good location, a 20 minute walk to the Duomo and the same by cab to Linate airport.

Nothing at all, no complaints.

The location is good as all the old-citiy's main attractions are at a walking distance of 15-20 minutes. The breakfast was relatively good and tasty. The staff was very attentive, professional and useful. The Wi-fi reception in the Rooms was good. There was no outside street noise in our room.

The air-condition controller (room 422) not functioning well, as there is no digital/analog indication of the temp, and it was not possible to change it (the room was overheated), so we had to.open the window (outside temp was about 6-10c) in order to ballance the room temp. Also the manual key to the door was turning/opening with great difficulty (probably there is a need to oil the lock 's mechanism). We brought the last item to the attention of the staff.

- We booked the classic suite, space was very good as we had 4 big luggage, beds was very comfy and room is very clean with excellent condition though it want renovated. - Terrace is very beautiful and big with nice city view. - staff were very friendly and helpful, did their best to make our stay comfortable and nice. - location is excellent, you can go to Duomo walking ( approximately 15 to 20 min ) - Hotel has a private parking which is very helpful if you are renting a car.

There is nothing I didn’t like about the hotel.
