Fantastic experience at this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful (esp the lady who spoke Spanish at reception and those in the breakfast room). Our group had comfort and superior rooms, and both were comfortable, modern and very clean. Superior one was at the end of a corridor, which made it really quiet. Despite being on the same floor as the reception, we didn't really hear much going on outside. The hotel is literally above the Mergellina metro station so it has easy access to metro lines 2 and 6, which take you to the centre of Naples in minutes, and it's also suitable for the train that goes directly to Pompei. The area around the hotel is very safe and has a few restaurants/pizza places. There's also a well-stocked supermarket a few metres away from the hotel if you need some snacks. We loved the breakfast - it had a great selection of sweet and savoury foods and it included vegan options.

As many have mentioned in other reviews, the entrance to the hotel is not the most welcoming. It's just a big door that you need to ring reception for it to open. Once inside you're just facing a lift to your left or the stairs to the right. You get used to it in the end, but you do wonder for a minute what kind of hotel you've booked! :)

Stayed with a large group for a wedding and returned very late one night but this was no issue at all as the reception was 24hrs. Hotel itself is a beautiful building with excellent transport links. The breakfast was fresh and delicious one of our party is gluten intolerant but it was no problem at all and a varied selection was provided by prior request. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. All the staff were exceptionally helpful but I must make a special mention to Miguel on reception – at the end of our stay I was having difficulty arranging transport in Ischia for the next part of our travels due to my inability to speak Italian he communicated this to a taxi driver and messaged confirming prices and pick up location for me. This made our onward journey so smooth, and we are very grateful to him for going above and beyond. He made sure all the details were accurate for me which I feel makes him such a valuable member staff. THANK YOU SO MUCH MIGUEL. Happily, stay here again should we return to Mergellina, overall experience was fantastic thank you Hotel Metro 900.

The location was amazing. Right above the train station for easy transport. The staff were very friendly and helpful from reception to the restaurant. The room was very spacious and incredibly clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good.

The aircon did not work.

I highly recommend this hotel, everything was 10/10! We arrived early and were able to safely leave our bags at the hotel so we could explore the area. The room was spacious, well furnished and perfectly clean, the bed linen and towels were very clean. The room had everything we needed, including a charger for our phones. The hotel is very secure, with CCTV and 24hr reception. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice including gluten free and vegan options. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. The hotel is just a short walk to the waterfront and we walked most places, it only took an hour to walk to the MANN. If you don’t want to walk, one of the city sightseeing tour bus stops is only a short walk away. On checking out we were able to leave our bags again so we could enjoy our last few hours before catching our flight home.

Our recent one-night stay at your hotel, commencing after 8:30 PM due to an unfortunate prior accommodation experience, was exceptionally positive. We were highly impressed with the overall quality of our stay. The breakfast offered a great selection, and the service provided by your staff was consistently attentive. The hotel's location is truly outstanding, offering convenient walking access to the port and a wide array of excellent restaurants and bars. The adjacent metro station is also a significant advantage. We wish to extend a special thank you to the morning reception staff member who was on duty on July 5th. Her service was exemplary and significantly contributed to our positive experience.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. I was concerned that it wasn’t going to be close enough to all the best tourist places but it was perfectly located in a safe area with great access to transport, a lovely variety of restaurants a short walk away and a grocery store if needed. The breakfast was also a great inclusion. There were lots of things to choose from which were all of great quality and they also provided barista-made coffee. The room also had everything that was needed. It was very comfortable and clean. There was some noise from the street and train line nearby but the room had double glazed windows that did a sufficient job. If you like to walk then walking into the tourist attractions is doable. You can walk along the water pathway easily enough. You will rack up the kilometres for sure but it’s great to burn off all the pizza, gelato and other culinary delights Naples offers. The hotel is very safe too. The reception has a person available that controls those entering with security doors. There is a lift for those who don’t like walking stairs. The lady on the reception was wonderful and friendly. She welcomed me warmly and helped me on numerous occasions going above my expectations. The other staff I meet were also friendly. The price is good too so I would highly recommend.

Clean and well presented, the staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choices and superb coffee Right next to Napoli Mergellina station., so very easy to travel to other places which was our plan. The area around always felt safe. We even managed to find the spot the pencil drawing was done in 1944. A very successful trip, the receptionist explained how to get to all the places listed on the scroll and on the last day we found Sessa Aurunca-bingo

Great location next to a station with easy links to the central station. Unfortunately there was a strike on that train line while I was there but it was only about €20 to central Naples. A supermarket nearby and a few restaurants within a few minutes walk. Felt secure due to the intercom to access the building and 24hour reception staff.

There is a bar available but they don’t serve any food. Even bar snacks would have been good to avoid having to go out in the evening. It can be a little noisy at night due to the trains. You can’t leave the aircon on when you are not in the room and it takes a while to cool the room down. It also seemed to be set on around 26 degrees and you couldn’t change it.

Accessibility, just few steps away from the doors of train station! Nearby groceries, church, coffee and icecream shops! Not to forget a sought after 50 Kalo pizzeria! Can walk to the docks with a very good view of Mt Vesuvius! And oh, famous Chalet Ciro with my favourite pistachio icecream and pistachio pastries
