The hotel itself is amazing. The style of the hotel is beautiful, with it being an old monastery. You could get lost exploring the property. The rooftop and the pool are also very nice. Booking says you have to pay extra, but this isn’t the case. The room we stayed in was also beautiful, with a lot of space, a big bathroom and a view of the Vesuvius. The breakfast was also good, with a variety of pastries, bread, fruit, yoghurts and savory items like eggs and sausage. They also have fresh juice and the staff can make the coffee you like. The hotel itself is on a hill, so the climb from the city centre can be a bit tiring, but this was something we knew so we were prepared. You can also take the cable car up and down to the centre and back, with the stop being 6 minutes away from the hotel. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!!

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. The only thing we were a bit bummed about was that the pool closes at 5 every day.

The wonderful and varied art collection throughout the many interesting halls, corridors and unexpected locations throughout the very old former convent/monastery. The views from the dining patio and the from the beautiful and spacious gardens overlooking the city were photogenic. It's a lovely place to loll away a leisurely day without the hubbub of the very busy, noisy, and traffic of a hectic city.

Our initial greeting at 9am was less than welcoming or accommodating. We dined one evening at the hotel restaurant and that was more than enough. The food was mostly very disappointing. Four of us had different meals, ranging from acceptable to almost inedible. They need a new chef. The breakfast was satisfactory and varied enough. The whirlpool off of the pool area was empty and inoperative and very dirty. It made using the shower there unpleasant.

Beautiful and unique. Comfortable rooms, though the air conditioning could use an upgrade.

Strange policies! There’s a two hour window where there is nothing available to eat at the hotel except a HORRENDOUS €14 ham sandwich. And the hotel won’t let you bring food or snacks into the hotel. So during a work day, i had to leave the hotel with my laptop to eat. We were physically stopped by hotel staff for attempting to bring a bag of chips in. No food in the mini bar either. Absolutely bizarrre.

the hotel is amazing and view wonderful. if you dont like walking up and down stairs and gradients this hotel is not for you. There is a venicular 5 minutes walk either side of hotel but very hidden. If you want to buy snacks for your room do it when you are in the centre of town, there is nothing near the hotel.

The 7th floor was pretty much out of bounds due to constant weddings. No problem with that if you are actually told. I wandrered off upstairs and straight into a wedding reception and promptly escorted back to the lift! Reception staff offer no extra information, if you want to know anything ask or google it.

The hotel building has a very interesting history. Lots of old features and interesting curios to discover and read about. A beautiful rooftop area with a pool, a restaurant and fantastic views of the city and port areas. We were able to get late checkout. The receptionists and porters were pleasant and informative. The hotel is very close to the Spanish Quarter which is a really vibrant and interesting area. Lots of steps to climb to get back to the hotel though. We loved our stay here.

Noisy air conditioning.

The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. Amazing views from room and terrace. The reception staff were very helpful; finding us an adapter for charging our phones. In fact, staff were lovely apart from one indifferent waiter.

The location was poor as the hotel is in a rundown area and not that easy to get to. We arrived hoping for lunch but it was very expensive and so we decided to find somewhere to eat but had to walk a long way in a neglected area and didn’t find anything. The pool looked lovely but was closed on the day we arrived and we didn’t get a chance to use the next day (there’s also a extra charge for using it).

The hotel is located above the city and it overlooks it towards the sea. There is a garden/ rooftop that has a magnificent view, a really nice garden, swimming pool and bar. it is however only open from 15 May onwards.

If you want to go into the city by foot, you have to take a lot of stairs and it’s not always easy to find the way back through the maze of alleys. I recommend to take a taxi after it is dark.

breakfast was ok, could have been more variety of cold cuts & cheeses views of the city fantastic pool on top floor, so gave great views from there too

We received a message before we checked in to say that pool was an extra cost, but when we arrived we were told that was for outside people only. We very nearly cancelled because of that. Getting drinks at the pool area was sometimes not easy, nor getting towels at the pool

Oh my goodness! After 28 days traveling this was one of my fav hotels. Insane view, pool area abd roof top patio bar area. Felt like a millionaire! Plus as its an ild monestry you can explore the ‘kept rooms’. We had a roim wirh a seaview and was sad to go. The value for money and superior to the other sorrento and napoli accomodation. Amazing!!! We had to leave at 6am and they even pacjed our breakfast to go!

Beds were a but hard…

Wonderful, quirky hotel. At the top of a hill, so the views over Napoli, the sea & Vesuvius were AMAZING. FAB chill out pool on the top floor, lovely bar/restaurant terrace on the 4th floor. Not sure the history of the building but there are tunnels & alleyways all over the place - easy to get lost!

We loved the fact that it was on high up over Napoli, but for those who dont like an uphill walk back home after a busy day/night, would probably need a taxi.
