I have used the Toledo for many years. It is wonderfully eccentric - the exact opposite of the impersonal international hotels that are almost the same everywhere. It's in the middle of the narrow lanes of the Quartieri Spagnoli, and you are straight into the real Neapolitan atmosphere as soon as you leave the front door. The staff are really friendly and hospitable, and the interior is really comfortable. The terrace on the roof is a fantastic place to have your breakfast or get away from the chaos of the Naples street later in the day - and you can occasionally get a glimpse of the two resident tortoises.

Getting to breakfast late, the meats and cheeses for the continental breakfast became a bit sparse this time.

Over all good value for money. Facilities are what you can expect for the price.

The hotel charges for keeping bags (5 EUR per piece) on the departure day. This feels a bit greedy.

A great location. Very lively, with many good options for eating and entertainment. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. A good breakfast on the roof terrace.

The wifi service in our room was not very reliable.

Nothing really. The only negative point I will mention is that the hotel is very near to one or two bars that are very noisy that doesn’t stop until two or three in the morning. Although it didn’t disturb me too much some guests might not like it.

The location was great with all museums, attractions, restaurants & train station in walking distance or Metro. We stayed a Friday and Saturday checking out on the Sunday and found the room noisy during the night as the hotel is in the heart of a traditional, thriving restaurant and market area. So if you area light sleeper it may keep awake however the noise of people enjoying themselves on a weekend and also baring in mind that most Italians eat later in the evening.

On the day we left it rained extremely hard and most of the day which is apparently very unusual for the South. Other than that a most enjoyable and busy stay in Naples!

Super friendly staff, amazing location lots of bars , restaurants, shops, very comfy bed. Has everything that you need with old Italian Charme furniture.

If you aren't a night owl or are can only sleep in silence than this location is not for you. The Spanish quarters are full of bars and restaurants.

This hotel was perfect for location. The staff were amazing and very friendly. They were so helpful. The rooms are totally fine as we did not spend much time there but it has everything you need.

It's close to all the main attractions. Has a metro station next to it. Lots of great restaurants. Everything is on your doorstep and it was just what we needed.

Well, having everything is on your doorstep is a double edged sword. It can be quite noisy but we were expecting this so brought earplugs and it was fine.

Hotel Toledo is a darling little hotel in the heart of the Spanish Quarter. Everything we did while we were in Naples was within walking distance, other than a trip to Pompeii. There are scores of restaurants and shopping opportunities just steps away. The building is 300 years old so don't expect a modern, sleek hotel. However, if you are looking for charm and character, you will not be disappointed. Although it's an old building, the bathroom was modern day. The shower was great and there was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. One of the most important things about Hotel Toledo is the staff. They are exceptional! Roberto was the person who we dealt with the most at the front desk and he is friendly, helpful and a super nice guy, who speaks excellent English. Although we didn't engage as much with the other front desk people, they were all friendly and accommodating. The ladies in the breakfast area are top notch! One morning they were out of hardboiled eggs and my husband made a sad face. They quickly boiled some more for him and brought it out to the terrace for us. I'm not a coffee drinker and they remembered that from the first day and automatically brought hot tea to me every morning. One morning, my husband wanted to bring tea to me in the room and they set him up with a tray to make that easier. In general, all the staff made us feel like family.

The only thing I can think of is perhaps the breakfast area could offer more choices. That said, it's not billed to be a full breakfast buffet, so this is a very small complaint.
