Breakfast is amazing. Lots of selection and very tasty. Access to beach by shuttle provided by hotel, those who can, can walk to the beach. Those returning to hotel by foot, depending on physical state, may find it a bit strenuous. Shuttle to beach takes a few minutes. Beach itself is quite nice with sun beds and umbrellas available as part of the hotel package. The pool and grounds of the hotel are beautiful and are well kept. Nice vegetation, cacti and flowers. The staff in all areas are amazing and always willing to assist and courteous. There is a nice poolside bar with a variety of drink and sandwich options. Suppers are extra and need to be ordered during the day, as the hotel is doing its utmost to avoid food wastage The suppers are tasty. During the evening there is a shuttle into Tropea and back at designated times. The location is very peaceful and the view of the sea lovely. For those who wish, you can walk to the nearby town of Parghelia for groceries/supplies. Hotel is removed from hustle and bustle - if that's what you want.

Would suggest some handrails for the gradual steps down to the pool. Would also suggest some sort of entertainment maybe several times a week.

Let’s start with the location: nestled in a peaceful spot, perfect for unwinding. The pool and lounge area are stunning—pure relaxation! Just a short walk away, you’ll find a breathtaking beach with crystal-clear waters and everything you need for a perfect day under the sun. And then… the staff. Absolutely WONDERFUL! Truly the BEST OF THE BEST—kind, attentive, and always with a smile. They made our stay unforgettable. The hotel is also ideally located just a 10-minute drive from Tropea, a charming little town perched on a mountain with spectacular views of the coast. The perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. We had a junior suite with sea view and the view was superb. The terrace was large and could easily accommodate us and other family members staying at the hotel. The pool area and the grounds are very well kept. All of the staff were brilliant and there was a real family feel to the hotel. The nearby town is a 5 minute walk away and the American Bar has great coffee, ice cream and snacks.

There was anything I didn’t like about the hotel. It has maybe seen better days in some respects. We went B&B only and ate mostly in the restaurant next to the hotel or in Tropea. We did eat dinner once in the dining hall but felt it lacked atmosphere. Having said that other family members enjoyed their meals there.

check in was friendly and efficient .Stephine made us feel very welcome . She provided us with all of the information required for our stay in the area . The room was spacious and comfortable The pool area clean and lots of sun loungers . shuttle bus to the beach and into Tropea . They also provide a shuttle service to and from the train station which we didn't know when we arrived in Parghelia train station but availed of it on departure . Breakfast excellent .

The shuttle service into Tropea starts at 7.15 pm . Perhaps a shuttle service starting slightly earlier might be an idea . It wasn't a big issue as we got a taxi into Tropea .

The staff were awesome! Helped with all our needs. Pool and pool bar were a lot of fun. 6 minute walk to Parghelia. A lovely town with groceries, ATM and restaurants. Beach was gorgeous and plenty of umbrellas. Independent beach bar with drinks and food was good.

Hotel shuttle runs only every hour during the day to the beach and then in the evening to Tropea. It’s not on demand. It’s a 30 minute walk to Tropea uphill and or stairs. It’s on a hilltop. If you can’t walk long distance use the shuttle or car service. The beach is a 15 minute walk downhill there and uphill back! Mostly on a sidewalk. I did not see handicap access but I really wasn’t looking for it.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I felt safe throughout my visit, and the breakfast offered a great selection of fresh and tasty options. Amazing beach and location. The only downside was the mattress — it definitely needs to be replaced. Aside from that, it was a nice place for a relaxing vacation.

This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel. We really like the breakfast. It is so amazing, lots of selection, fresh fruit, eggs and pastries. Pool area is amazing. Has a bar for drinks and food. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is not too far from Tropea city center with a shuttle drop off and pickup. Everything is great. Highly recommend this hotel.

It’s a little far from town (30/40min walk) but not property’s fault as it’s not very well pedestrianised plus lots of stairs Would recommend busses from hotel Maybe start little earlier than 7pm

Michele and Stephanie were incredible! They were so helpful and treated us so well. The breakfast was excellent and the pool was great. The private beach was the highlight for me for this hotel in particular. I would have loved if the shuttle to and from Tropea ran a bit earlier so we could go during the day. Wonderful place! I would recommend Hotel Tirreno to anyone!

Hotel Tirreno was superb and it exceeded our expectations. At breakfast there was a great selection of choices including hot and cold options, fresh fruit etc. The pool was fantastic but there was also a free shuttle to and from the beach with free beach chairs and umbrellas. Free shuttle at night to and from Tropea and free shuttle to and from either Parghelia or Tropea train station at check in or checkout. The hotel can organise private transfers at very reasonable prices. Wonderful, friendly staff who always went out of their way to assist.
