We stayed at Villa Paola for5 nights. It was magical . Even before our stay , Sara had helped us tremendously by arranging meals , transport etc. When we arrived we felt as if we were greeting an old friend ! Every single person within Villa Paola did everything they could to make our stay perfect . We were cared for by Sara who was unbelievably kind, even checked our train arrived safely to Reggio ; Lavinia brought a smile and a wonderful service to our meals and Davide was considerate and helpful and will have a wonderful career in hospitality ahead . The meals were phenomenal; the thought put into creating each dish, just mind blowing, the chefs , clever and brilliant and the staff so knowledgeable. We cannot praise this hotel highly enough . So peaceful , so much thought into every detail . We were honoured to be looked after here . Tropea town is just a 10 minute walk and the beaches are clean , the sea akin to the Caribbean ! Thank you Villa Paola and every single member of staff who works there to make it such a special place to visit . We look forward to returning !

There was nothing that we didn’t like .

This hotel is absolutely incredible! The moment you step inside, you are greeted with breathtaking views and a warm welcome from the entire staff. The gorgeous gardens and hidden pathways only enhance the beauty of this stunning establishment. The infinity pool, strategically positioned on the hillside, offers a perfect blend of relaxation and excitement with its built-in jacuzzi. And one of the most outstanding aspects of this hotel is the abundance of inviting spaces where you can sit and truly embrace the serene views and peacefulness of rural life.

When we booked the accommodation, I thought it looked too good for be true. But the hotel exceeded all our expectations! We stayed there one week in end of May. The garden was blossoming at the time we were there, which made the garden incredibly beautiful, like a fairy tale. However, the thing that made this hotel to be the best hotel I have stayed at was the staff! Everyone was super friendly and polite, they made us feel welcomed and they didn't hesitate to help us with booking wine tasting or answer any question we made had. Our experience would not have been the same if it wasn't for the staff and their excellent level of service.

They didn't have things like small bottles of body lotion, makeup sticks, makeup pads etc. in the hotel room. But shower gel and shampoo.

Beautiful hotel, helpful staff, organic local produce. Breakfast choices were limited but at least there will be no waste.

First night we arrived late and ordered from the room service menu. We would have preferred more choices and plain food . I got sick from the food first night. The town centre was not a walking distance. A taxi each time was but convenient and costly.

The staff at Hotel Villa Paola deserves special praise for their incredible hospitality and kindness. They went above and beyond to cater to our every need, assisting us with tour reservations and activities. Their genuine care and attentiveness added a special touch to our honeymoon, making it even more memorable. We were truly impressed by their attention to detail and personalized approach to guest service. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Villa Paola. With its stunning ambiance, convenient location, and outstanding service, it surpassed our expectations and left a lasting impression. I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to return to Tropea and stay at this hotel once again.

This is a real gem - highly recommended. From the moment we arrived the service from Francesco and all the members of staff was top-notch. They went out of their way to ensure we were having an enjoyable stay, without ever being intrusive. Personal touches (chocolates, notes, etc.) were discrete and very tasteful. The property itself is quirky and has been refurbished to a good standard. There are also very pleasant grounds to stroll around, with exceptional views out over the sea and towards Tropea. I would also highly recommend dinner here: Luca was a knowledgeable host with an infectious enthusiam for local produce and the food heritage of Calabria. Our meal was another highlight of our stay, with some memorable courses and rounded off with an intriguing Calabrian digestif (Joachim). The only downside was not having as much room as we might have liked for the generous breakfast spread in the morning! Overall, a wonderul stay, and we would very happily return for longer.

This was a one-night stop for us as part of a trip around Southern Italy - we would have wanted to have stayed longer!

Beautiful grounds and renovated historic building. Wherever you went on the property you felt like you were in a 5 star facility. The best breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel. What put it over the top for me was the quality attention paid to guests by the staff. They were professional, courteous and very skilled in providing a top-drawer experience for guests. A great team!

Nothing.

From the first moment the personell and the building gave us a very homely feeling. Great athmosphere, very relaxed. And ofcourse the building, garden and views are gorgeous

Instead of a 4, 6 or 8 course dinner we chose a starter and a main from the menu. The main was very minimal (50gr of fish or so) and seems like this was one of the courses of the 6 or 8 course menu, in terms of size.

the facilities that this property offers are not 5 stars, the room furniture is a bit outdated, the bathroom is small and does not offer all the necessary things for a 5-star hotel. Value for money-nok

We had the best stay at Villa Paola, we can’t wait to come back! Thank you to all the staff for making our visit to Tropea so relaxing.
