The Ananea was such a beautiful place to stay at while in Tropea! We especially appreciated the personal pool we had access to with our room. While we never ate lunch at the hotel restaurant, the breakfast had a wonderful spread of meats, breads/croissants, made to order entrees, drinks, sweets, and dinner was exceptional as well. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the town center, which is appreciated because it is much more quiet than if we would’ve booked a place in the center. The employees were welcoming, friendly, professional, and did a great job at keeping us comfortable. I, sadly, didn’t take many pictures inside the room, but I included the beautiful nighttime ambience, the view from the hotel looking up at the town, and two of the room. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Ananea and if we ever have the chance to visit Tropea in the future, we definitely wouldn’t hesitate to choose it as our preferred stay. Thank you!

Not sure how much control the Ananea has over the traffic driving through the property, but it can be a bit bothersome when driving through at nighttime. Not a big deal, but just thought I’d mention it!

The hotel is a hidden gem located in the hidden gem of Southern Italy. Staff were exceptional... Reception, restaurant, pool attendants and cleaning..... The southern Italian hospitality exuded. The hotel is in a prime location, nestled by the port and beside the best beaches in Tropea and beneath the hustle of Tropea town. I travelled from a 5 star hotel in Materra and Ananea was superior. I only wish my stay was longer than 5 days. Thank you. I look forward to a return visit.

Superior hotel. 5 stars. Location, location, location! Classy. Spacious. Breakfast was excellent. Service was top-notch. There was an issue with our room allocation/number of people assigned to our room. The issue was my fault as I mistakenly booked a room for 3 people, not 4 (travelling with 2 adults and 2 teenagers). The front desk worked with us to rectify this problem :) The bathroom has beach flip-flops for everyone! great in-house toiletries. Very spacious rooms. The actual pool grounds were beautiful and serene. We also travelled with my parents and sister. As a larger group, the staff always ensured our pool and food needs were met. The hotel is located a short, 5 minute walk to the beach which is spectacular! Strongly reccommend going to the local market (on the way to the beach) to order paninos (sandwiches for the beach). You can walk up to Tropea within 10 minutes (great workout!) Highly recommend ordering an iced coffees from the bar!

Dinner menu was not kid-friendly. My daughter is a very picky eater and there was little to offer for the dinner menu. **Although there is transportation to and from Tropea, it stops running as of 7:15pm. In our opinion, should be extended to well after 8pm as most people tend to eat later when on holidays, especially in Italy. We also had to book the 7:15pm bus ride days in advance.

This was an exceptional hotel to enjoy the sun and sea of Tropea. The hotel was modern, fresh and clean with a wonderful, relaxing pool. An easy walk to the long stretches of beaches and historic centre of Tropea. The real stand out at this hotel were the staff. From the moment we checked in through to check out they made you feel like you were their only guests to look after. The GM, Maria embodies everything that customer service used to be. She was warm, friendly and always keen to help.

There was nothing we didn’t like about this property. We simply loved it.

Great pool, great breakfast, decent sized room.

Our aircon didn’t work and the door wasn’t screwed on properly and was banging all night. We complained the next morning and the staff doubted there were any issues which was unfortunate. They sent a technician to have a look, whilst we were gone, and advised us the problem was fixed. That night the same banging of the door kept happening so the next morning we asked for rooms to be moved. The staff were accommodating and moved our room which was great. From then on the stay was very good.

The hotel location was very convenient and their shuttle service was also very convenient. I would mention the shuttle availability in the hotel description. The staff at the restaurant and bar was excellent. Both Francisco at bar and Francisco during breakfasrt were very attentive and kind. I noticed during breakfast Francisco was replenishing water and juice at the service station while attending to customers like us:):)

The restaurant bathroom needs a lock. I could not figure out how to lock it when in use.

It is magical and everything a boutique hotel should be. personalized service and high quality everything excellent access to beach and town centro Nicoletta at the front desk is amazing Domenico at breakfast service is very attentive Do yourself a favour and GO to the restaurant the food is exquisite and the chef is a delicious artist

Absolutely loved this hotel! It feels brand new, the restaurant is amazing, great breakfast, relaxing pool, and the staff is so helpful and kind. It’s a quick 15 min walk to the city center (up about 100 stairs) and nearby the port so great location when renting a boat. There’s a laundromat also only a 5 minute walk away. Would definitely recommend!

Loved everything!

We had a fantastic time at Ananea Tropea and we highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway! The hotel was impeccably clean, making us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout our stay. Its location is simply perfect, right by the sea with port view. Another plus was the availability of parking spaces, which is always convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a delightful experience with a wide variety of delicious options, including homemade cakes.

There was no clothes iron possibility.
