Prato is not considered a tourist location especially when surrounded by the hot tourist locations of Florence, Lucca, Pisa etc. so finding a hotel as good as the San Marco in this somewhat 'out of the way' location was both a pleasant surprise and a bonus. The hotel is in a good location and easily accessible by public bus from the railway station. The rooms are excellent, very big, with good desk space and storage (wardrobes, drawers etc). The bathroom was very spacious with a good sized walk in shower and good sized basin. The room had a good AC unit which was very sufficient. Although there is no restaurant for evening meals the breakfast was excellent. Good quality fresh food. Overall the Hotel San Marco is a very good hotel and if you factor in the price it is a great hotel.

Very friendly staff. Something was off with the shower, but they tried to fix it immediately & gave me another room to stay. Also, when I had to store my luggage already before my stay, they brought it up to the room for me & they did so too when they changed the room. Further: the bed was comfortable enough, the location is great near some excellent restaurants and the centre of Prato as well as the train station, and the breakfast has enough options. There's also an elevator to the room & there's air conditioning. Great place all around!

The Hotel is located in one of the main Square of Prato , with very good bus connection towards different sides of the City. The room allocated was a single room with a single bed , overall comfortable , the heating worked properly and the premise was overall clean.

Overall was a good deal, although I suspect I could have mangaed to get a better deal if booked slightly in advance , the price was somehow competitive.

I have stayed here before and I chose to stay again as I find this hotel very good value for money. It is clean, very comfortable, exceptionally located, and the staff are very nice and incredibly helpful!

The only thing I thought could be improved is the breakfast selection. It would be good to be broadened. Also the little fridge in my room was warm and the food I put in there spoilt.

Hotel San Marco is a solid stay. It's not elegant. It's basic and yet, it had everything we needed for one night. The staff was LOVELY and helpful - each one of them! There was a lift and our room (a triple room with a TUB - yay!) gave my husband and I the space we needed plus the extra bed for his snoring and kicking :-) . It was a 5 minute walk to the castle and the most yummy restaurants and shops.

The hotel is excellently located a short walk from Station and very close to the historical centre. The hotel staff were very helpful, they made our room available on arrival, gave excellent advice re dining options, and were available and responsive to any requests. The buffet breakfast was as expected, was plentiful and incorporated fresh fruit. This hotel is highly recommended.

By walk just in few Minutes to reach the city center and the main train station. The bus stops and service was infront of hotel. It was amazing stay in Hotel San Marco. simple and clean hotel . Though it’s not in Florence itself but train station from the hotel was easy excess (10mins walk Prato station . Hotel surrounding very safe with local people . There are also Halal shop just 3 mins walk ( Chicken Taste the shop name ) which is cheap and good . Hotel staff very friendly . Breakfast was consider good with the price we paid . €5 per person . I really enjoyed how the location of the hotel. It was about a 7 minute walk to the train station, with easy access to Florence via 20 minute train. The city of Prato offers an escape from the busy city of Florence. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were very kind.
