Prato is not considered a tourist location especially when surrounded by the hot tourist locations of Florence, Lucca, Pisa etc. so finding a hotel as good as the San Marco in this somewhat 'out of the way' location was both a pleasant surprise and a bonus. The hotel is in a good location and easily accessible by public bus from the railway station. The rooms are excellent, very big, with good desk space and storage (wardrobes, drawers etc). The bathroom was very spacious with a good sized walk in shower and good sized basin. The room had a good AC unit which was very sufficient. Although there is no restaurant for evening meals the breakfast was excellent. Good quality fresh food. Overall the Hotel San Marco is a very good hotel and if you factor in the price it is a great hotel.

Very friendly staff. Something was off with the shower, but they tried to fix it immediately & gave me another room to stay. Also, when I had to store my luggage already before my stay, they brought it up to the room for me & they did so too when they changed the room. Further: the bed was comfortable enough, the location is great near some excellent restaurants and the centre of Prato as well as the train station, and the breakfast has enough options. There's also an elevator to the room & there's air conditioning. Great place all around!

The Hotel is located in one of the main Square of Prato , with very good bus connection towards different sides of the City. The room allocated was a single room with a single bed , overall comfortable , the heating worked properly and the premise was overall clean.

Overall was a good deal, although I suspect I could have mangaed to get a better deal if booked slightly in advance , the price was somehow competitive.

The room was spacious and comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay! The staff was really helpful and the breakfast was great! The hotel is a short walk from the Prato Centrale station, which is a short train ride from Firenze Santa Maria Novella; this is a great location to stay if you are planning to visit Florence and don't want to be in the city.

I have stayed here before and I chose to stay again as I find this hotel very good value for money. It is clean, very comfortable, exceptionally located, and the staff are very nice and incredibly helpful!

The only thing I thought could be improved is the breakfast selection. It would be good to be broadened. Also the little fridge in my room was warm and the food I put in there spoilt.

Easy to find, 5 minutes lovely walk from train station. Very simple, but comfortable enough. Lovely breakfast. Very helpful receptionists.

I needed to stay longer during the day, just to have some rest. It was impossible, seemed like room maids were cleaning neighbor room for three hours and made so much noise, that barely one’s can work or have a nap.

Hotel San Marco is a solid stay. It's not elegant. It's basic and yet, it had everything we needed for one night. The staff was LOVELY and helpful - each one of them! There was a lift and our room (a triple room with a TUB - yay!) gave my husband and I the space we needed plus the extra bed for his snoring and kicking :-) . It was a 5 minute walk to the castle and the most yummy restaurants and shops.

Traditional but perfect for a short stay , great varied breakfast, spotlessly clean . Superb friendly staff nice roof terrace. Single room on the small side . Good shower . Well stocked reasonably priced drinks at reception.

The hotel is excellently located a short walk from Station and very close to the historical centre. The hotel staff were very helpful, they made our room available on arrival, gave excellent advice re dining options, and were available and responsive to any requests. The buffet breakfast was as expected, was plentiful and incorporated fresh fruit. This hotel is highly recommended.
