Lovely, well-looked after property, rooms were clean, comfortable, a good size and well-furnished. Hosts Vincenzo and Daniela were very welcoming and friendly, good communication prior to arrival and during our stay. They were so helpful and kind to us, giving information about restaurants in the area, sights, filling our water bottles, suggesting we take something warm to wear on the craters etc, and generally being lovely, like parents😂 Very quiet location on the slopes of Mount Etna in a small village, property had a large mature garden, it was very peaceful and it honestly felt like we were returning to visit parents in the family home. The cooler location of the property also was a welcome respite from the summer heat, and it was a short drive to the Silvestri Craters. Breakfast was delicious, everything was fresh and tasty, Daniela’s pistachio and chocolate chip cake was extremely good. Best thing was being greeted in the morning by Dana the rescue dog who is just really an angel on earth. Thank you so much!

Beautiful, charming villa and family on the slopes of Mount Etna. Vincenzo went out of his way to make our trip delightful. Our flight into Catania was terribly delayed, but Vincenzo put us totally at ease even though we didn't end up arriving till around 1 am. Breakfast was sensational, Daniela's home made pistachio cake was really special. There are some sensational restaurants in the village. Overall, we highly recommend visiting. We just wish we had stayed for an extra day or two!

We got rather unlucky with the weather, so weren't able to make the most of the amazing views from the balcony.

The Breakfast was excellent, food prepared fresh by Vincenzo and Daniela. The location is in a very quiet location, surrounded by nature with its own private road. Parking available inside the lot. The village is small but has everything you may need, including supermarkets, Restaurants, Vegetable shops and of course Salumeria shops as well. Location is great if you want to visit mount etna and its surroundings. The owners Vincenzo and Daniela are very friendly and gave us a warm welcome and good hospitality throughout our stay. Location is family friendly with kids. Thank you Vincenzo and Daniela.

Everything was perfect!

Beautiful location with clean and spacious room, parking in front of the house. Most laid back location on our trip through Sicily. You can reach both Mount Etna and Catania within appr. 30-40 minutes, but once you are there you most likely feel like to just relax and enjoy the country side. Above all the owners of the house have been the perfect hosts, nice people, provided all infos like restaurants close by, even prepared breakfast for us the night before our very early departure. Wished we would have discovered this gem earlier to stay longer.

Only thing we regret: we could not stayed longer.

Lovely family home converted to B&B by Vincenzo and his wife. Quiet, leafy grounds, clean and well maintained. Very comfortable, large room, bathroom and shower clean and functional. Nice breakfast, set out on the deck one sunny day. A friendly dog hanging out. Vincenzo was great -- helpful and respectful of our privacy. He drove us to lunch in town the day we arrived and picked us up, as they only serve breakfast. He offered aperitivo when we returned from local dinners both nights. We invited him to join us and we sat outside and chatted. (He also volunteered to drive us to dinner, BTW) Like staying with a friend, in a good way. Got some Italian coaching, too. We'd return here.

Can't think of anything, really. It's an older home lived in for many years, which we like, but some might think it a tad too rustic. The town isn't much, but the location is close to Mt. Etna, which is why we stayed there.

Loved the treatment we got. It was totally one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. Everyone in the house and also in the village was so friendly. You absolutely need to eat in A Cisterna Trattoria. We slept plenty as it was very quiet and the mattress is pretty good. You get your privacy as there are window blinds, just ask if you can’t figure it out! Also I read the reviews and of course there is hot water, just ask if you have any issue and they switch it up for you. We got nice breakfast in the morning. The villa sits in a beautiful garden. You can park on the site. It’s a luxury! You absolutely can’t miss Etna and it’s exceptional surroundings and nature. The smells and colours will always stay on my mind. As well as the food and wine. Domus Verdiana is a very special place. The location is not only beautiful, it’s very well situated if one plans to visit Etna and the surroundings. However, the best part about it is the hosts: Vincenzo and Daniela. They go out of their way to ensure that you have a great experience. Vincenzo provided excellent recommendations for hiking (we did 3 different half day hikes, and each one was unique from the other), as well as for places to eat. Additionally, their breakfasts are superb and prepare you well for the day ahead. We stayed for two nights but would have loved to have stayed longer.

This was a superb place to start our Sicilian adventure and we spent 4 nights here. The location is in a beautiful garden within a few hundred metres of the main town square where there are restaurants. Vincenzo and Dominica were kind and generous hosts, constantly checking we were OK and going out of their way to provide a fantastic breakfast. We had a garden room with a balcony where we could sit and watch the sun set. Vincenzo also helped us with booking trips up Etna, telling us the best places to go, introducing us to Sicilian culture, and translating Italian websites. We would stay here again. For info you really need a car to get to Ragalna as public transport is limited.

The property was family owned and run, in a beautiful town at the foot of Mt. Etna. The home is stunning, surrounded by trees and greenery, feeling very secluded and calm, while also being a stunning house. From the balcony of the room we had really lovely views and an outdoor perch to end our days.

We had a great stay! The hosts are just lovely and welcoming people, they make you feel at home. They were very helpful with directions and recommemdations as well. The rooms are beautiful, it seems like the house was once a villa. Beautiful views and very good location if you are planning to go visit Etna. The breakfast was perfect, home made cake, jams all you can possibly want for an Italian breakfast. Thank you very much, we would come back again!

The soundproofing of the house is not very good. The walls between rooms are thin and you can hear other people taking a shower and talking but it didn't bother us much because we only stayed one night and the guests were fairly quiet. Also the bed was comfortable but the matress was uneven in the middle part. Anyways, it is a minor inconvenience comparing to all of the positives this place has to offer:)
