The B&B has a garden, which adds to the tranquility and ambience. There’s a cute rabbit living there too! We found it very quiet there at night (no easy feat in Italy) and the surrounding area is certainly peaceful but the interior will depend on the other guests. The breakfast is very good (there is no hot food but that’s fine for us) and the owner is so exceptionally hospitable and welcoming; nothing is too much trouble. We found that the tea & coffee facilities were not in the rooms, just available in the communal area, which induced panic because, as coffee addicts, we need our fix upon waking, so the owner provided a kettle and cups etc. just for us!

This is the most fairytale accommodation you can get in Ravenna: the house it beautiful, quiet and warm, within minutes of the city center, San Vitale and Galla Placidia. The rooms are comfortable and with a lot of character, the garden is magical and most of all, the gentleman who runs it is the prototype of a grumpy but loving fairytale grandfather (think Peter Falk in Princess Bride). The best part is the garden and its inhabitants - the tree that gives these lovely juicy fruits, Theodora the tortoise and Rudi the rabbit. He is the plumpest fluffiest cutest bunny in all the world and while the stay would have been magical without him, he completed it.

Our time at Ai Giardini di San Vitale was very enjoyable. Everything about the property was just perfect. Our hosts, Concetto and Monica made us feel at home. Breakfasts on the patio overlooking Monica’s beautiful garden we very enjoyable. Our time in Ravenna was very relaxing and Ai Giardini di San Vitale is just a short walk into the town. We hope to return to Ravenna soon and we look forward to another visit with Concetto and Monica.

Pretty sizable room and bathroom in a quiet side road an easy ten minutes' walk from San Vitale. Tasty and varied breakfast, eaten outside on sunny days with pleasant garden views. Owners were friendly and helpful; some English is spoken and more German. On discovering that my mother and I had to take an early train back to the airport on our final morning, the proprietor told us not to book a taxi and drove us to the station himself - at six in the morning! This really was brilliant service!

Bed was a little hard, and, in a twin room, the smaller sofa bed didn't have a bedside light. A desk in the room would have been helpful. But these were small reservations in a charming and characterful hotel.

We had a wonderful time in Ravenna and Ai Giardini di San Vitale made our stay unforgettable.. Wonderful location, beautiful garden, clean spacious rooms, very good breakfast but most of all exceptionally friendly staff. The owner asked everyday if we needed anything else and we'll never forget that day when he offered us Prosecco and we had a nice long chat along with our drinks... Definitely recommend this property and I hope to come back myself..

Very hospitable host. It is located in a neighborhood not far from the gate to the old part of their city. it is also about a 15 minute walk to the Basilica di San Vitale, which is the one church with 100% mosaics still intact inside. it is amazing! it is also a 5-10 minute walk to a bustling street with restaurants, bars, pharmacy, etc. The reserved car parking area was a gated lot 30 steps from the B&B. They also have a beautiful back yard with a pet rabbit named Rudy.

Beautiful spacious and comfortable property with a gorgeous garden with friendly bunny Rudy. Lovely room with well fitted and designed bathroom all kept spotlessly clean every day. Breakfast was delicious - so enjoyed the fresh fruit and creamy yoghurt. Perfect location and hotel standard accommodation.

The location was a 10-15 minute walk from the old town in Ravenna. There was a charming garden, although the weather was not appropriate for sitting out in it. My room was lovely with a fridge and enough hanging space and hangers for clothes. The water pressure in the shower was good and so was the wifi. The people who ran it were very kind and helpful. I had to leave 2 days early into my 4 day stay because the train strike on the day I needed to get to Milan would have meant I would miss a performance at La Scala that I had sold a kidney to get. I couldn't leave the day before because I had a work that day that required a video conference. When I realised the chaos this was going to cause, the owners of the B & B were very helpful, found the link to a train to Milan that would work and ordered me a taxi.

The continental breakfast was a bit sparse and in the evening the walk back seemed longer than it did in the morning.

Breakfast was perfect - fruits, pastries and breads high quality - local cheeses. There was something for everyone. All fresh and nicely presented. Coffee was exceptional. The hosts were utterly charming and went out of their way to assist me. The property is lovely and location quiet but ideal for everything.

No criticism of the property - visitors to Ravenna and the surrounding region should prepare themselves for mosquitos!!

We arrived by train and could easily walk to the B&B. The host, Concetto, is very gracious, multi-lingua (Italian, German, English, French), making everything very easy (even though I practiced my Italian with him). The Garden is lovely, a Green Oasis in the Town. Wonderful to eat breakfast in the Garden! Easy to walk to restaurants nearby. Concetto got us two bicycles the afternoon we wanted to ride out to the Baptistry of St Apollonaire in Classe.

Nothing could have been better.
