Chez Papa is a charming place to stay in Ravenna. The rooms are spacious, the area is quiet, and there are numerous places to eat nearby. The staff is what I fell in love with the most. Rafaella went above and beyond communicating with me for weeks before my arrival; always patient, professional, and informative. Jacopo and Ambet were also very helpful. I appreciate their efforts so much.

Our room did have an issue, but the staff responded extremely well to it. They were sensitive to my concerns and handled everything to my satisfaction.

Centrally located. Very friendly and helpful staff. One evening we went out maybe 15-20 min drive from the hotel and when ready to go we tried to call for a taxi with no luck for 1 hour - all unavailable. I then thought about reaching the hotel to ask if they could help -and within 10 min we were in a taxi on our way back. Thank goodness because we had two kids and they were starting to get anxious. Room for family of 4 very spacious.

No elevator but was not too much of an issue since we had all hand luggage except 1 larger and the host helped us take that upstairs.

For our first trip to Italy, we decided that in addition to Venice, Florence, and Rome, we should set aside time to visit Ravenna, both because of the outstanding Byzantine mosaics and because it would be much quieter than the expected crowds at the larger cities. It turned out to be a perfect choice. Even better, we were fortunate to be guided to Chez Papa by its excellent reviews. It turned out that Chez Papa is centrally located within easy walking distance of most of the major sites. Immediately on arriving, we were greeted at the door and made to feel welcome as if arriving at the home of family or friends. The room was clean and well maintained, and our door opened onto a beautiful central courtyard. Both to get tips on what to do and where to eat, and on help in organizing our departure to return to the train station, we were readily helped by the excellent staff. Finally, I should note that the breakfast each morning was outstanding, with various breads, fruit, cheese, etc. If we get a chance to return to Ravenna, we wouldn’t hesitate to make Chez Papa our first choice.

We loved absolutely everything! The property is stunning, the room is clean and is accessed by a stunning courtyard which is only available to guests. The room is charmingly decorated with a beautiful, comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom, and everything we needed supplied such as extra water, a kettle, coffee machine. All of the outlets in the room worked. The location was superb! In the heart of the old city within 10 mins walking distance to the majority of the sights and many fantastic resturants. Ravenna provided our best dining experiences in Italy so far. The staff at Chez Papa were wonderful, kind, and helpful, and always grreted with a smile! They went out of the way to be helpful when we were unexpected late upon arrival. The continental breakfast was very good and fresh. I would not change a thing about our stay!

Nothing.it was an ideal stay!

The property is a short walking distance from the main historic pedestrian zone. We were able to reserve a ground floor room, so getting bags in and out was easy. The layout of our suite was very comfortable, we also enjoyed sitting in the private courtyard garden right off our room. The room had a single mini-split AC which was nice, in that we could control it for our own comfort level. It never got as cool as we’d liked, but it was refreshing coming back from outings. The breakfast had a nice variety. Everyone that worked there was helpful and polite.

A higher capacity AC unit to cool both rooms of the suite would have been better.

The staff were very welcoming and kind. They were anxious to assist with special requests, including taxi transports. The whole place was charming, stylish, and clever. Bath was huge, brand new, and complete. Breakfast better than most. Easy walk to cultural sites, neighborhood restaurants, and Piazza del Popolo.

Only issue: the curtains in the tall, tall windows on the courtyard were difficult to pull (because they were so tall), and were needed to provide privacy from the courtyard. Worst thing: we really would have liked to stay longer.

The decor and ambiance of the hotel are very warm and inviting. Chez Papa is within walking distance of several restaurants and shops and the surrounding area is charming to walk around and explore. The service at the hotel is exceptional and extremely attentive. We were contacted by Jacopo as we were running late for our arrival and he assured us that he would meet us at the hotel to check us in. The beds are very comfortable our party of 4 slept exceptionally well. Breakfast was served in a cozy room that leads into a beautiful courtyard with ample seating and places to enjoy the moment. We needed to get a taxi to the cruise port and even though this can be very tricky in Ravenna, Jacopo assured us he would procure a car for us and he did. We are very happy we found this little gem and would stay again if ever we find ourselves n Ravenna in the future

Chez Papa is an exceptional place to stay in Ravenna. Located in the heart of the old town, it is within walking distance of almost all the major monuments and a variety of excellent restaurants. This makes it the perfect choice for a comfortable stay in a spacious, cozy, and well-equipped apartment, complete with an outstanding terrace. The staff are incredibly friendly and responsive, ensuring a delightful experience throughout your visit.

Everything was great !

Main regret with Chez Papa was that we didn't stay longer! Great location, beautiful grounds and amenities--library, games and dvds, an amazing breakfast and very helpful staff. Great AC in the room. Parking for a fee across the street and easy to walk to restaurants, shops and the world famous mosaics of Ravenna! Dante's Tomb and a very friendly community completed our short stay in Ravenna and at Chez Papa.

We didn't get to stay longer

Location is the best you can get - right in the center of town and you can come by car with a garage on the other side of the street. The place is beautiful and room very spacious. It could be Insta-worthy even. You can come out to a large interior terrace which looks amazing as well. The breakfast was really large and yummy, with freshly made eggs as well. For me the bed was very comfy too.

There are small things about the hotel which unfortunately spoil the experience. Note this may be my nitpicking but here we go: the small things like terrace doors being super hard to close, ants on the terrace, wardrobes barely closing, thin bed sheet covers. No big problems really but at this price it could have been better,
