The property was lovely, bed very comfortable, and staff amazingly helpful.

The fact that you could not access rooms without stairs, a difficulty for two 75+ ladies. I had researched lift and a/c as requirements. Both were there, but to get to the lift was about 8 stairs and from the lift to our room was about 10 stairs. That needs to be mentioned in the review. As much as I loved everything else about the hotel, this would have been a deal breaker as carrying a 35 pound suitcase up and down the steps was extremely difficult. There was only one person and no one to assist.

Great location in the city centre and close to all the sites you will likely want to visit. Walking distance from the railway station. Large bedroom with small but adequate bathroom. I would definitely stay here again if I return to the city.

Intermittent internet signal in the bedroom but fine elsewhere in the hotel. I was one of the last down for breakfast and most of the fresh food was gone and not replaced - so if you want to avoid the pre-packaged foods that the Italians seem to consider an essential part of breakfast, get up early!

The morning was a typical Italian hotel breakfast consisting of various sliced meats, rolls, boiled eggs, cereals, yogurts and sweets. My only complaint is that the sliced meats had to be requested from the server. They were not out so you could help yourself like every other Italian hotel I’ve been in. Because I’m a visitor, I’m not sure what the difference is between cooked ham and raw ham. Also, what if I wanted more meats, less cheese. Hard to tell them to take it back so there is no waste.

The air conditioner was turned off for the season, and it was warm and humid out. The windows had no screens and there were mosquitoes out, so the choice at night was sweat in the room or get bitten by mosquitoes with the room a little more comfortable otherwise.

The location is great, mid-way between the mosaic sites and right next to Piazza di Popolo. Breakfast was good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There is a comfortable lounge area where we waited for a taxi. There is a good restaurant next door, although they sometimes book up with tour groups so you might need to make a reservation.

The bed was very hard and the pillows flat. We also had a toilet seat that was coming loose. The hotel is perhaps a bit old and needs some updating. While there is an elevator, one still must climb some steps both to get to the elevator and to get to the rooms after coming out of the elevator. So be prepared to carry your bags. That's just the way it is with old buildings. That said, I still think it was a great value for a good price.

location was great! in short walking distance of all the sights and near to good eating places. the staff were amazing...lots of information and advice on getting around, what not to miss, where to eat etc... Great welcome to hotel and Ravenna! room immaculate and cleaned every day. Good breakfast with fresh fruit and cakes!

location of shower in small bathroom made it difficult for us to get in/out..

Everything was great, particularly the staff, can highly recommend for other English speaking tourists. I even had a minor medical emergency in the middle of the night and the staff called the ambulance for us, and explained everything to the paramedics in Italian, they couldn’t have done more. Breakfast is great, and especially considering the price this is an absolute must stay, if we ever go back to Ravenna I know where I’ll be booking.

You’re paying so little for what’s included I’m not sure I could say I didn’t like anything.

Extremely well centrally located with awesome staff working the reception and breakfast buffet. Nice and clean room with large bathroom. It was great quality for the price. We could even drive up to the hotel to drop and put back the luggages and the explanation/parking arrangements were effortless.

I would have put 10 stars if only the AC in the room worked correctly and the Wi-Fi was also working. The room wasn't cooling at all the unit only made noise and the Wi-Fi was spotty, turning on and off constantly within seconds.

Very good location, nice warm rooms (cold November visit), excellent beds, very good breakfast, lovely staff. Due to a train strike we had to stay an extra night, staff very helpful. Reception staffed all night. Handy for all of Ravenna's mosaic locations, also worth a visit are the Ravenna Museum and Dante's Tomb (be there at 5pm for a live reading from The Divine Comedy). Hotel is about a 15 minute walk from train station. Nothing to complain about, good stay.

Need to put a ramp of some sort from the main lobby entrance to the elevator, as it was difficult for myself & my wife to lift the large luggage bags up the main stairs to the elevator. Even if it was a temporary one that can be added or removed when needed. It could be on hinges that flip up or down when needed.

An excellent Italian breakfast- large variety of baked goods, cereal and fruit with boiled eggs. Simple but filled the proverbial hole. The staff were very helpful and the location was perfect in that it was in the centre of old town.

Having a backup roll of toilet paper and terry towels. Not unusual for an Italian establishment.
