The pool was the best part. It was very big and refreshing. The room was a family room and our teenage girls had a room to themselves so very spacious. The staff were friendly and always on hand to help. i loved the old fashioned keys to the door. So rare to find these days. I thought it was very good value for the price. I didn’t like that you pay extra for the pool towel as we had our own towels and were not informed by a sign or by staff that you pay extra for a pool towel. We have been traveling for two weeks at hotels with pools and no where else charges for towels. It would be very kind to provide this to make the hotel ever better.

Ive been to the Etna hotel before and so I knew what to expect and wasnt disappointed. Lovely staff and facilities at a very reasonable price. There's also a very large communal pool where you can spend all day doing lengths or stretching like I did to ease back and shoulder pain issues. The onsite courtyard restaurant is also very pleasant and lit with fairly lights giving a nice ambience. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Etna Hotel to anyone considering it.

The wifi service at the hotel isnt great to be honest, and I had an issue with my fridge that was very quickly resolved. Also, not allowing food in the rooms was disappointing especially as some people travel on a budget and cant afford to eat out all of the time. The reason for the restriction was that it attracts bugs and insects but that should be manageable.

A lovely hotel with great facilities and very nice staff. They have a very good restaurant. We had a wonderful view of Etna from our balcony. After some stressful driving in Sicily we enjoyed two quiet days by the pool.

The immediate surroundings of the hotel are not very nice, but that is okay if you just use it as a base for various excursions or enjoy yourself inside the grounds. We, for example, went to Catania to see an opera in the beautiful Teatro Massimo Bellini.

A very nice hotel just off a main road in Giarre. I was visiting cousins in the area and this hotel was very convenient for them to meet me. A very beautiful restoration of an old farmhouse. Great views of Etna in the distance. The grounds are very park-like and there is plenty of free parking. The dinner restaurant on the hotel property was great. Although there was an additional charge, breakfast was very good and well worth it.

Everything was good. The wifi was OK but the signal was a little weak by the small desk. It was an old building with heavy stone walls so a bit expected that wifi would not be perfect everywhere.

The breakfast was wonderful and the coffee was great. The staff responded instantly to any requests I made. The hotel itself was lovely and historic.

The location made it impossible to walk outside the compound. That is my only criticism.

Breakfast was good overall, although there could have been some more hot foods. The homemade yoghurt was really good as were the croissants. We especially liked the help we got from the very friendly staff both before and during our stay. They speak English quite well and that was another bonus. The hotel is comprised of a very old historic and pleasant building and all rooms have their separate entrances onto the common areas.

The area of Giarre outside the hotel wasn't inviting at all and we didn't bother going out for a walk through the town. It's better to go there by car.

My family and I love the Etna hotel and this was our second visit in three years. The customer service is excellent, the facilities perfect for our requirements and the onsite restaurant an excellent choice if you don't fancy venturing offsite. We were even offered a transfer to a larger room part way through our stay as the lady manageress felt that we would be more comfortable there. It's a great place at a very reasonable price. Cossy

The scenery was very nice. The food was very good and it was very clean. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful.

It was quiet in the middle of Giarre. The restaurant was fantastic and staff super helpful and sweet!

Amazing staff, great facility and very clean. We enjoyed the pool and the dinner garden.

Refrigerator was too loud, the bed was not comfortable at all. Had a very hard time sleeping.
