Casa Castagna was such a great location. It's in walking distance of everything, near the station, near the ports, near the old town, near the sea and near the main street! It was perfect. The room was very spacious, clean and homely. We loved having a little kitchenette to make breakfast in the morning. We slept so well here - we couldn't hear anything at night and the beds were very comfy. Teresa the host was very friendly and helpful letting us store our luggage early in the morning so we could explore Paestum.

The room we stayed in was very spacious. It had its own bathroom and balcony. The AC during the summer is really nice. The location is great!

The only thing that threw me off was that the host told me “breakfast between 8-9:30am” I said okay and the next day we had to leave on a boat early so we couldn’t make it. Which I thought was fine because I never confirmed I would eat breakfast. The host however was trying to charge us €30 for a breakfast that we never confirmed nor were aware we had to pay for. I think just for future visitors make sure to clearly state whether you are going to eat breakfast to avoid the discomfort.

The location was absolutely perfect, near the sea, the old town, and many delicious restaurants. Teresa, the host, was simply wonderful, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best is could be. The room was very large and very comfortable. The bed was just right. An uncomfortable bed can ruin a vacation but this bed was very comfortable.

There was really nothing that I didn't like. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Salerno.

Location in the city center, close to the train station, restaurants and major attractions. From the balcony you can see a piece of the sea. The room is big, cozy, spacious and clean. There is a seating area, a desk and a large bed. Even though the windows overlook the street and you can hear cars, it wasn't that tiring. The bathroom clean and nice with a shower and all the toiletries you need for your trip. I felt like home :). The rooms are separated from the large suite, which also provides space available to all guests. There is a kitchen and a hall. There is a small coffee maker in the room. Very nice and helpful owner left us coffee, snacks and drinks. It was a very nice surprise for us.

Its the best place to stay in salerno, huge rooms , comfy bed, very clean, amazing bathroom and a great view from the balcony. The hostess is really amazing and always available to help. Even though its a BnB , late checkin even after mid night was pretty easy. The place is really worth the money. Also the place has cute and cozy welcome lobby where you can have fresh water, some home made cakes, fruitss .

I wish that booking.com mention thats if you want breakfast, we should notify the property in advance. Although the host did offer to arrange the best possible solution for breakfast even if she was out of town that day.

It is right in the middle between the old centre and the new If you are tiered after a day out just round the corner, there are lots of restaurants and. Coffee bars to enjoy day and night.

At the moment, there are some constraints that work on but surly soon will be done.

Communication through booking is only in Italian. The link to fill out a form with ID cards is also in Italian and there is no option to change the language. We had previously requested parking, but we did not receive confirmation and a location until the last moment. We had to park elsewhere.

Casa Castagna is simply wonderful! The location is perfect - two blocks from the water and half a block from the main street where the shops and restaurants are located. A quick walk from the train station - and the location is perfect. Teresa made check-in as easy as possible. Our stay there was delightful. Teresa went out of her way to ensure we were happy and she had wonderful recommendations for meals. We would definitely book with her again.

The location was absolutely perfect and walkable to EVERYTHING! Only 10 minute walk from both the ferry and the train station, no need for any taxis while here. And right in the heart of the pedestrian street with all the restaurants and shops!

Could be a little noisy because you can hear all the different rooms, but it’s like an apartment or hostel in that way.

Once we found our quarters, it was perfect. The check in process was slightly obscure, and not clearly spelled out as far as I could tell, but once we figured everything out, the place was clean, comfortable and very well situated.
