Clean, comfortable, v helpful host, central

It was a shame we didn’t know in advance that the building was under renovation which meant the balcony couldn’t be used and view obscured by scaffolding

The positioning of location was perfect, you have restaurants very close and very important .. for the transportation, also the port for ferry it s also very close.The room was very nice and clean.About the host, Vittoria was very useful,helping with infos regarding everything.We had a problem with our transportation bus on departure to airport and she arranged a taxi for us (was to much crowded we were about to lose flight without her).Luciana was also nice ,guiding us and help us with tips regarding all locations.I strongly recommend this location ,for us was the base reaching amalfi,positano,capri and was the best choise.

Almost every thing. A Beautiful old building, full of character and story…Spacious lounge ..nice paintings and family pictures of the owner… excellent location with the sea view… room clean and bright… high ceiling, big window… during the day you had the fantastic view of the sea… for the night the automatic blinds made dead dark for a deep sleep… Vittoria was such a welcoming sweet lady, available all the time… gave me a list of places to visit.. nice bars and restaurants..

We loved the elegance of Salerno, with its faded 19Century charm , and excellent restaurants nearby to Donna Guilia. We loved the long boulevard along the arbour front at dusk with its old style ( once gas) lights blinking on . It is a great place from which to either take the public ferry to nearby towns Amalfi ( and bus to Ravello ) and Positano , and /or splurge on a more expensive day trip with a smaller group on a smaller motor cruiser to go to Capri for the day and do some swimming in the ocean .

The guesthouse is delightful but currently the exterior of the old building ( as at June 2024) is being renovated so that scaffolding and netting is up that obscures the lovely view of the harbour, mountains and glorious afternoon light . Despite this the place is still charming and we support and applaud the efforts to retain such lovely achitecture.

Cozy, nice room comfortable and decent breakfast , very helpful staff

I needed to travel Rome and continue my itinerary of my trip.I requested for 7.45am breakfast as the notice in room said one can request breakfast from 7.30am. But was told that’s not possible. Why the hotel keeps the notice with contradictory information and it was stressful for me. I requested for the second time explaining my proceedings at Rome and they arranged however. Appreciate it but hotel need to work one what they display vs what they actually can do

A beautiful room with a sea view. A fascinating history about the connection of the Donna Giulia luxury rooms to the building. Incredibly nice staff, both informative, kind and helpful. Thanks for a wonderful stay. This made a great base to visit Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, Naples and also Salerno itself - the old town is beautiful.

Our room and bathroom were a very nice size. They provided lots of toiletries. There was tea and a hot water kettle in the room. Water, beer and wine could be purchased for a small fee. The main area had a large living and dining room and sitting area that we could use. There was a balcony looking out to the ocean. Our host Vittoria was very nice.

I wish they provided coffee in the morning. Though there were lots of cafes close by. Also wish they'd finish construction in the building. The building's main entrance is under construction. The balcony over looking the ocean was covered with netting.

The staff who greeted us was wonderful and helped us navigate the limited parking avaialble, she also gave us a choice of rooms. All the rooms were exquisitely designed and the bathroom with bath was gorgeous.

Rennovation work made finding the entrance difficult and the car park was far away but the beautiful suites made up for any navigating challenges.

There was a lovely restful atmosphere at Donna Giulia, due to the combination of interesting old furnishings and modern bedroom/bathrooms but principally due to the kindness and attentiveness of Vittoria and Luciana. We got great recommendations from them for places to eat- all turned out excellent!- and trips to make. It is not often one meets hosts so good.

There was nothing we didn't like. Perhaps here we should mention that the historic building in which Donna Giulia is situated is undergoing restoration but there was no noise & it actually did not affect our enjoyment of Donna Giulia at all.

Absolutely thrilled with this hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly, offering local restaurant and bar recommendations. Our room was clean and smelled wonderful. Though the view was obstructed by construction, their warm hospitality and attention to detail made up for it. A special touch: they put a flower I was gifted in a beautiful vase without us asking. We'll definitely stay here again.
