We had a large room with a great view over the pool, hills and villages nearby. The hotel has a great pool with poolbar and two restaurants on site. Restaurant Alla Mora was booked for a wedding, so we had dinner at the pizzeria/bistro which was pleasant. This pizzeria /bistro offers also a good variety of tasty, local choices on the menu. On Saturday the pool was a busy hotspot as the locals come and relax there too. Great atmosphere, music and drinks. They also have an event calendar (music, DJ, aperitivo, eg). Unfortunately, but understandably, due to heavy rains the DJ set was cancelled on this Sunday in June.

We missed a small refrigerator.

The people running the place were incredibly kind and welcoming. The five-course dinner was amazing, and we were well taken care of by our waiter, Mario, who did an excellent job. The food was delicious, and the breakfast was also very good. We visited in the autumn, and it was foggy throughout our stay, so we didn’t get to enjoy much of the surroundings or the view. However, it’s a wonderful place that we’d love to return to in the summer. The room was spacious and very nice.

No kettle or tea making facility in room. I needed a kettle for medical reasons and management were able to provide me with a microwave which did the job so that was appreciated. I found the room too warm due to centralised underfloor heating. Again though management responded by turning down the central heating.

The main problem was that the place was misadvertise - we expected exclusive relaxing mood (as advertised) while turned out that the swimming pool is public, you have to deal with screaming kids at 9 am in swimming pool, they organise parties going on till 1 am with loud music on the property also open for people out of the guests. This hasn't been communicated before and disturbed our stay to the point we didn't use swimming pool at all. Other things: -checkout at 10 am, too early -cleaning room up to 12 and breakfast till 10am but if you are on holiday and you want to sleep a bit, you miss both (and how, since there was loud music going on till 1 am the previous night?) - smelly bathroom -balcony was dirty with sticky floor -poor wifi

Gelso Bianco is located remotely on a hill, but in a driving distance to Modena or Maranello. The both restaurants share the kitchen and produce very tasty meals. Cannot enough recommend. the breakfast is ok but not exceptional. the rooms are nice and spacious.

the pool is nice and large but it is overcrowded in the afternoon, as the facility is open to public. so forget about any family time by the pool later in the day. there is no lift in the house, which might be a problem for some.

It is on the 1st floor and there was noise from the kitchen until late around 11:30 p.m. which disturbed sleep a little

It would have been nicer not to change rooms in between. But hey, we got upgraded and the suitcases were moved for us - so why complain :-)

Gelso is nicely located in Emilia, with views of the hillside. The hotel room was pretty large, light and a bath with disco lights. Also good restaurants around and full breakfast.

The hotel is located on a country resort. A lot of Italians are coming here, this gives a vibrant atmosphere but was too crowded and noisy for us.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and we loved the view of the garden.

For four people, we needed to book two apartments, although one apartment had four beds and two room available.

Gorgeous setting in the hillside with a lovely pool ,beautiful gardens and delicious food. The staff were very helpful and the Gelso suite with jacuzzi bath tub and amazing views is definitely recommended. The resort is popular with the locals and we were the only English people there which was amazing. A great place to visit if you fancy a traditional wine tasting experience at the local winery or a visit to Maranello to see the Ferrari factory or the Lamborghinis at Modena . You’ll not be disappointed.

If only the food menu could have been in English as well as Italian it would have made sure we could have fully enjoyed the beautiful food choices as google translate certainly had a work out!
