Fantastic location- a little bit out of central Sirmione (only 20mins walk in), so quieter with beautiful surroundings. Outside area was amazing- the views were exceptional. Two pools were brilliant- great sizes with loads of sun beds and umbrellas. Stair access to a quiet part of the lake which you could stand up in when you entered. Breakfast was great - Prosecco at breakfast was a lovely surprise and big plus. Coffee was also delicious. Good choices for breakfast. Dinner menu was great too- good house wines for €16, and good pizzas.

Some UK adaptors didn’t seem to work- though we’ve experienced this in a few Italian hotels.

Everything. It is a beautiful old villa sitting in its own grounds with ample parking. The area is obviously very touristy but this is a true oasis. The villa sits on the lake and its open restaurant almost touches lake Garda. One larger pool overlooking the lake and one smaller one for kids. The food is excellent and not expensive for a bit of paradise. The staff are warm and welcome, especially the lady in reception and the one who showed us the room. We stayed on the top floor, 2 flights up. Very good aircon, stunning room and large terrace overlooking the lake. Great bed. I wouldn’t swap this for any 5 star, over modernised hotel.

The triple room with a huge terrace was very beautiful. The breakfast was okay but the pie wasn't good enough. The staff was very kind. At the restaurant you had limited choices but it was overall fine, we liked the Maccaroni with Ragu and Rosemary. Pet friendly.

If you travel with a dog and get the triple room ants may appear. Otherwise everything was okay.

We had a lovley room with a balcony in the villa , looking onto the lake and our friends room was right next to us which we had asked for . This was great for us a group of 3 friends and within walking distance of Sirmione.The location was great , the food was fantastic and the staff helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The pools are lovley and the whole place has a calm feel about it. It was a very relaxed and welcoming place to stay , just what we were looking for and we will return.

We asked for twin beds and got a double and couch in the room, however it was made into a bed when we asked for it so in the end this was perfect .

Incredible views over the lake! We had an amazing top floor family room in the newer building next to the original hotel. It was huge, 2 single beds and a large king-size. Also the best bit was the large terrace with sun loungers and table and chairs. 2 good sized pools, these werent heated but we chose to swim in the lake instead. Superb breakfast included in our room tariff. We had 2 evening meals at the hotel and each meal was delicious. My husband and I had drinks in the bar several times and had complimentary olives, crisps and nuts. Friendly, helpful staff. A nice stroll in to Sirmione centre which had the best ice cream! We loved being able to go for a swim every morning from the private jetty.

The hotel is located 20 minutes walk from the old town, almost 2 km. The territory is pleasant. My room windows overlooked both sides of the lake - both east and west. Clean. The staff is friendly. There is a large restaurant downstairs. Breakfasts are excellent. Large parking on-site.

No lift. The stairs are narrow and steep, especially in the room (!). There was no safe in the room, although it was indicated when booking. Clearly not enough furniture - only a TV stand and a small ottoman. No electric kettle. The bidet design is very old-fashioned, I have not seen one like this for a long time - impossible to use. Difficult to get to the hotel by public transport - the nearest bus stop is 12-15 minutes walk. Only taxi or your own car.

I recently stayed at Villa Pioppi, and I have to say the location is absolutely amazing. The room I had offered a beautiful view of Lake Garda, which made the stay even more memorable. The room itself was neat and comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless, adding to the overall positive experience. The breakfast was also a highlight – very good variety and quality, which set the tone for a great start to the day. The only downside was the communication prior to our arrival. I found the staff a bit unresponsive when we emailed them, which caused a bit of frustration. However, once we checked in, the service was fine, and the staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. Overall, I highly recommend Villa Pioppi for its fantastic location, great rooms, and excellent breakfast. Just be aware that you may face some delays in communication before arriving.

What a cute place with lots of character. The room looked out over the lake and you could sit there for ages watching the birdlife or people in a beautiful setting. The location was great as it’s out of the busy part of the centre and is a nice walk to the end of the peninsula

At best the staff friendliness was neutral. At worst, just unhelpful. Especially in the restaurant but also at reception. It’s such a shame as it took the shine off what would be a delightful place to stay but we were consistently disappointed, not just as a one off

Location was fantastic, I think ideal. Being right in Sirmione world have been too crowded. Our room was right on the smaller of 2 pools, perfect. The pool (both pools, and the restaurant) overlooked the lake. The hotel's restaurant was always busy without being crowded. The room was massive, 2 day beds and a dining room table. The shower gel was so nice that I bought a (large) bottle of it online, when I got home.
