Situated in a perfect spot, minutes from centre, transport, etc. Room was very comfortable and all staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyable cocktails on the roof terrace and a great choice within buffet breakfast to start the day.

No negatives found during our stay

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and comfortable. We stayed in a superior double room, spacious, modern, with a great terrace on the first floor. We felt just wonderful due to hotel's comfort, location and employees-all of them, reception staff, restaurant staff was fantastic, helping us with everything we needed. At the reception desk they (special thanks to Ana!) helped us to buy online tickets to Pompeii, find a luggage storage in Naples as well as booking a transfer from Sorrento to Naples . Breakfast was sufficient and tasty, with fruit ,delicious cheese, vegetables, eggs , cold cuts and lots of sweets. It is very clean . The location is close to everything- shops, restaurants, stazione centrale for train and buses , Marina Grande for ferries, piazza Tasso from where we started a very enjoyable tour on the Amalfi Coast with" Iamme Ia", booked on Get Your Guide. Good wi fi, nice pool. Elegant and typical Italian decor. Nice town, great atmosphere! Warm thanks to everyone at the Michelangelo Hotel Sorrento!

Comfortable🙌 Many nice options to rest in the hotel: one pool with music on the ground floor, rest area on the roof with small warm pool, the bar and the rest area with sea view on the fifth floor as well. Black out curtains. very nice decoration of the room and corridors. Special thanks for the tea and coffee set in the room. In Italy this is not the case everywhere😅 Close to the train station and the city centre.

Very noisy outside even at night (motorcycles). I can’t also open the curtain because there were windows of another building opposite. also could not turn off the air conditioner completely. the room becomes very cold when I left and took out the card. for many this will definitely be a plus, but I was comfortable in terms of temperature and without air conditioning. The room is next to the main building of the hotel, so I have to go across the street to get the elevator, which takes you to the restaurant or to the pools. It would also be great to put ceramic cups in the room instead of plastic onese.

We loved the location of Hotel Michelangelo. Very easy walk from the train station, and easy to walk downtown and about a 10 minute walk to the ferry port. The 2 pools on site were great to have in the summertime heat. The rooms were nice, big showers. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was a nice buffet setup. The only complaint we had was that there are not itons in the room, but an ironing room you have to go to and my husband said the irons could stand to be replaced. Otherwise everything was great and we would definitely stay here again!

I like that the property is very close to the main square, the train station, the ferries, and bus station. There are plenty of nice places to dine in and plenty of gelato and cafes for snacking and drinking. Even though the hotel is very near the train station, it feels like you’re faraway and in a resort town. Unlike some places that feels industrial and gritty. We decided to extend our stay and just use the hotel as our base point for day trips to Capri, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. The staff was very helpful in arranging these trips. The room is updated, clean and well maintained. The sound proofing makes you almost unaware that the train station is nearby. The morning breakfast buffet had plenty of selections, either hot or cold, in my case both. Coffee, cappuccinos, and juices were available. We had to make sure we didn’t eat too much and ruin our appetite for the local cuisine.

No complaints

Large comfy room with good size balcony looking over the pool. Breakfast choice was excellant. Both pools were lovely although not big but great for a cool dip. Muhu bar on roof was fantastic. Friendly professional staff. Location is spot on for restaurants, bars, train station and harbour. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Bathroom was large but shower cubicle was extremely small and a struggle for an average size person to use. Lots of wasted space in bathroom to expand shower. Pool towels all stored in 5th floor bar and had to be signed for and returned there. Pools are on 1st and 6th floors so quite a trek. Both room door and bathroom door had expanded and it was a struggle to open. Came back after a day out to find cleaner had left our room door open due to this issue. Luckily no on else had entered. The door to the pool on 1st floor kept slamming and very annoying when your room is directly above. Maybe have it propped open during the day.

The flooding of the bathroom on the 1st morning & the water didn’t drain properly out of the bathroom sink. We were there for 7 nights & the sheets on the 3 beds weren’t changed … not a 4 star normal process. Breakfast was the same every morning which after a week was getting very boring. Eggs were always cold & try & find a teaspoon for your coffee .. We used to have a laugh every morning watching the people use their forks to stir their tea & coffee.

Breakfast was typically italian with a great choice. The hotel location is central,and with a few minutes walk from Sorrento train station and the shop's and restaurants are within a comfortable walking distance. The hotel rooftop terrace is lovely and the quality of the food at lunchtime is very good. The hotel restaurant is way better than many of the restaurants outside and in many ways offers better value. The service in the hotel is good and very discreet. Francesco who heads the restaurant service is superb and an asset to the hotel.

Very comfortable hotel, friendly and efficient staff and a warm welcome. Lovely surprise at breakfast on my birthday morning when the staff sang happy birthday and presented me with a cake and candle! (We didn't tell them so we can only guess they picked up the date from our passports.) Also a treat to find Spumante at the breakfast buffet - perfect for special occasions - and a very wide selection of breakfast options including gluten-free on request. The hotel is very easy to find and just a few minutes walk from the train station where you can also get buses to the Amalfi coast. It's an easy walk into the old town of Sorrento. The rooftop bar was open while we were there but, sadly, it was a bit too cold to stay for a drink.

We loved how central it was to the main town where resturants and shops were. Super close to the train station and about. 10-15 min walk to the beach/port. Boat trips to Capri, Positano and Amalfi were easily accessible. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Evening turn down service was greatly appreciated and a very nice touch. Beautiful hotel and lovely views from the rooftop pool/bar. The sky bar at night was so relaxing and always had some live music playing, cocktails were so tasty and the ambience/atmosphere was spot on. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and would definitely come back! 😀
