The excellent reviews you see are accurate. The host is delightful, the apartment is recently modernized, the location and the Carrefour supermarket (downstairs) are great. Our group of four liked Stresa much more than we had expected. Recommended: the Villa Taranto Gardens (we liked better than gardens at Lake Como), Isola Bella, food in Stresa restaurants. If you have a car, one nice day trip is to Mount Mottarone for views, walk around ancient Miasino, eat at Taverna Antico Agnello, explore Orta San Giulio (Google maps shows the hiking trail on the north side of peninsula). We had another awesome day trip to Macugnaga. We took the lift up and hiked to Rifugio Zamboni Zappa. Check out the Walser houses on the side streets of Staffa.

My wife and I just spent 7 nights in a very good 1-bedroom apartment own by Susy. The apartment is fully furnished. Kitchen is fully equipped with microwave and dishwasher. The supermarket is in the next building, so cooking is possible whenever needed, wanted. The apartment’s location could not be better in Stresa – right in the center, with less than 1 minute walking to many good restaurants and 2 minutes walking to the lake front. Our apartment was on the second floor (zero is the street level). On the first floor there is a terrace with jacuzzi and BBQ grill, that is used by people from these apartments (I think, all apartments own by Susy). Susy is a super host: always walking around, providing advice on what to see and asking for any help.

When we unexpectedly got stranded in Domodossola due to flooding and a train cancellation, Suzy went above and beyond to help us work out a way to get to stresa. She was incredibly supportive during a stressful time, even offering to come and pick us up if needed. Once we arrived, the apartment was lovely—clean, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed. There was even a shop next door where we received a discount from Suzy as well as great recommendations for restaurants and local attractions. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended!

Beautiful apartment, perfectly located, absolutely loved it as we were on our first back packing holiday and we took advantage of eating in the apartment at our choice though there were fabulous restaurants within 5 minutes. Would recommend and definitely stay there again. Also had the benefit of a supermarket below us and a 10 percent discount card. Visited the immediate islands which were fab.

Just a suggestion, would benefit from coasters and table mats to protect the lovely table as we chose to eat in as Stresa was part of a 17 day trip for us and so didn't want to eat out every night.

We had a lovely large airy one bed appartment. There was a mini market below for tea and milk and breakfast items. Very centrally placed in Stresa for shopping, eating and touring the islands. The lady was there to check us in as promised and she gave us all the information we needed for our stay. We were sorry to find that 3 November was the last day for the tourists trips to the 3 islands. We never thought to check this fact. We arrived about midday and were able to rush out and get a trip to just two of the islands which was great.

Everything thing was great. Would stay here again.

Our group of 6 travelled from Australia and spent 4 wonderful nights at Casa Diverio in Stresa. We were met by the lovely host, Suzy who welcomed us and explained all about the property and info on the town. We very much appreciated the early check-in after our long flight and Nadia had the rooms spotless. We each had a 1 bed apartment which had great facilities and amenities. The outside communal patio and spa is a great spot for socialising. The property is very well located, with many shops, bars, restaurants at your doorstep, not to mention the excellent supermarket right next door. We can highly recommend Casa Diverio if you’re visiting beautiful Stresa.

Susy was my "Fairy God Mother" when I took ill a day before our departure. She arranged an ambulance to take me to an emergency clinic about 20 km away in Verbania. I wasn't attended to at this very busy clinic until after midnight, but after being discharged at 1 AM she drove out with my wife to pick me up. The apartment was a great place to stay in this beautiful town and Susy was a wonderful host.

The apartment was excellent. It had everything was needed to make our stay comfortable including A/C, a stocked kitchen, fridge and well stocked bathroom. We would highly recommend a stay here for anyone visitng Stresa. The apartment is right beside the Carefour, near all the restaurants and a very quick walk to the water. We were greated by our host and given all of the information that we needed, including some of her favourite restaurants in the area. She was also available via message for any questions we had. If you are thinking of visiting, do not hesitate to book!

We loved everything about Casa Diverio! A beautiful, modern, air-conditioned, quiet, spacious apartment. Susy greeted us in the street and welcomed us in after we had walked past it. To top everything off there is a lovely terrace area with a spa. Susy brought us out pool towels. Location is close enough to walk to the train station and lovely cafe area and the lake and ferries on the doorstep. So convenient having shops and laundromat next door. Best accommodation we have had on our 7 week trip. We would love to go back and stay again.

The location is great. Wonderful town, and so easy to walk everywhere from the location of the apartment. Absolutely clean, spacious, good smelling. We had everything that we needed and even more. Comfortable bed. It was a pleasure to have a breakfast in the apartment because we bought fresh food for it right near the building, it’s a supermarket there in 5 meters. We had a coffee machine and capsules. The host is great, we are very thankful for everything. Very friendly and helpful!
