The hotel is on a hill near Stresa and the view is great. You need a car. There are no shops or restaurants close to the hotel. Great view of Lago Maggiore from the balcony of our room. Very good breakfast in a big room with large windows and option to use the terrace with an open view to the lake. In the room there is a minibar and electric kettle. Good bathroom with bath tube. The host was very nice, she prepared sandwiches for us since we left early to the airport.

The bed in our room was not comfortable, and a bit noisy...I doubt if it was "queen" as it should be.

Location The views were spectacular, the neighbourhood was quiet (except the first night when there was a festival, but the manager had warned me) Also, with the exceptionn of breakfast time, I don't think I saw another guest, even though the hotel was fully booked. If you want a quiet getaway, this is the place to go! Facilities The bedroom is very old-fashioned, but in a good way. I felt like I'd stepped into an old movie or a novel! The mattress was firm but comfy. The bathroom, on the other hand was very modern. Both were perfectly clean. Breakfast Free continental breakfast with pretty much anything you could want, I was really impressed! Transport The hotel will call a taxi for you and they also rent out e-bikes on an hourly, half-day and daily basis. Personal Factor The managers/staff were very... European... but the manager/owner knew who everybody was and what room they were staying in, which I thought was very attentive, and they were always very helpful whenever I went down to the desk to ask for something.

Location (again) It is about a 40 minute walk from the town centre, and it is uphill (200m elevation) so quite taxing in summer and maybe not feasible for people who are less fit. Not an issue if you are driving or taking a taxi, of course! No air conditioning I was very warm the first night. From the second night onwards, I left the windows open with the shutters closed and the room was cool enough, so not a deal-breaker (I did get some bites but I think that's unavoidable in warmer countries). Toilet I had an incident with my toilet one night during a big storm (I think the pipes must have gotten overwhelmed and back-flowed. Very unpleasant, but the hotel dealt with it professionally, the toilet still worked afterwards and it obviously wasn't their fault that this happened.

The view from the room and the gardens was spectacular. The hotel construction appears to give every room a view out over the lake and the mountains beyond.

It was a €20 metered taxi ride from Stresa. No footpaths on the main road. You would need to be fit to walk up from Stresa or have a car, but the hotel staff gave me a lift down the first day and showed me a quiet route which I then took every day going down to Stresa.

Traditional, relaxed hotel. Lots of outdoor space to admire the stunning view. The room was exceptionally clean and the staff member serving breakfast (sorry we didn’t get your name), should have a special mention for her friendly, efficient service (remembering without being asked that I only drink decaf coffee!) and enabling us to attend the ‘village party’ along with several hundred locals!

The hotel doesn’t serve food, other than breakfast. Snacks at least would have been good. The hotel is on a busy corner which does generate some noise and whilst this didn’t bother us, it may concern some. Drive into Stresa (too far for all but the very keen to walk) is only about 10 mins, but unless you’re there early, parking can be difficult.

Hotel is rather remote no local restaurants. Safe access to Stresa requires a car.

Good breakfast with an amazing view. The place was overall clean and comfortable. Internet was good. The location provided amazing views of the lake.

Parking is a bit limited, but we were able to park even later in the evening.

A charming family run Italian Hotel. Our balcony had a magnificent view of Lake MAGIORE, loved sitting there having our lunch which we bought from a supermarket at STRESA the town located way down the winding road from the hotel. we had a car but it was a very long and winding road down!!! From the town of STRESA you can catch a hop on, hop off ferry to explore the other Towns/places on Lake MAGIORE.

Very Nicely presented , exceptionally clean , easy parking and fabulous views of the lake from the rooms. Situated in the very pretty town of Brisino, a short distance from Stresa. Close to beach areas of the lake for swimming ,etc. The people were extremely welcoming , helpful and very friendly.We would chose to stay here again , no question.
