Location being close to lake ferry terminal, bars and restaurants in the old town. There is a lift to all floors. It is also close to the Tourist Information office. Room quiet and comfortable bed. Wifi reception was good in our room on the third floor. Breakfast was good and Frederico very attentive to one’s needs. He was very helpful with advice on places to visit and boat tickets for the small boats to the islands. He also helped us to book the bus to Malpensa airport which leaves just yards from the hotel. Prior to our arrival he had helped us with information on train from Milan to Stresa.

As a three star hotel there was nothing to complain about.

At first, I really like the personel - very nice and helpful people. The location of the hotel is also very good - its situated in picturesque typical narrow italian street at the edge of a city centre just two minutes from port and lake promenade. I have also enjoyed typical italian breakfast - coffee, homemade pastry, fresh orange juice etc. When I will come to Lago Maggiore again, this would be surely my first choice.

There is nothing I can say. Everything was fine. And when there was something I have missed or I have needed to help, I have just simply asked and solved the problem.

The hotel - which has an excellent location in the old town but close to the lake front - is housed in a charming old building and has on display plenty of old antiques collected by the family. The welcome and service during the stay from the owner (Fred) was particularly special. The continental breakfast was lovely. The room was basic (which I had anticipated from the pictures and reviews) but fairly priced. The description was fair and accurate. The hotel represents very good value for money in my opinion and that's all I can ever hope for.

The ladies who cleaned the room did a very good job and were very friendly. Thalia at reception was always very helpful and a good laugh. Federico the owner was always glad to give suggestions and have a chat. He is a hard working and conscientious person. I was surprised at how quiet my room was, despite being so centrally located. A few steps away from the lake, the two lovely churches and all the town has to offer.

Maybe an extra power point? But this is a minor matter.

Staying at Saini felt like being welcomed into a family. By arrival we were greeted by the owner, who since the first moment and for the duration of our whole stay was always present to make our stay as pleasant as possible. As well as the rest of the staff - with a positive and welcoming attitude, ready to answer any questions or just chat for a while. It didn't feel like being away from home - we were given all the necessary information to comfortably navigate the city and make the most of our time there, and by returning to the hotel in the evenings, we were warmly welcomed back. It felt like the staff genuinely cared about the wellbeing of the guests. Every morning started with some delicious freshly brewed coffee and a breakfast buffet, that contained enough one might need to start a day, and after breakfast all till the evening, a bar with some coffee and other drinks for very reasonable prices was available in the lobby. The central location of the hotel provides easy access to the main attractions of the city, as well as a variety of little shops, cafes and restaurants. And all that with a stunning romantic view over the roofs of little nearby houses and some mountains beyond them.

The hosts were excellent and extremely helpful. They were helpful with directions and also getting us a reservation (at the last minute) at one of the restaurants in town that was full. Breakfast was nice with cheese, toast, fruit, cereal, ham, hard boiled eggs, pastries, coffees, teas, milk, soft drinks, hot cereal, etc. All very fresh and tasty! A great location within walking distance to everything in town and of course the ferries. We will definitely be back. Hosts really made you feel at home.

Federico was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. He gave us invaluable local information about places to visit and the best way to travel. The hotel is situated in an excellent location, central and convenient for shops, buses and the ferry terminal. The rooms are very good value for money. Breakfast was varied and the fresh fruit was delicious!

The location in the centre of town was great, near shops, a great variety of restaurants and the lakeside parks and boat trips. We chose this hotel because of the lift and were very glad we did. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable with plenty of storage space. The breakfast was lovely with a wide choice and the coffee kept coming!

I have nothing negative to say.

This hotel has character, with interesting objects decorating corners and niches in the public areas. My room was simple, quiet and very comfortable and had a little balcony to let in the fresh air. The location was perfect, right in the centre of town with lots of restaurants and shops nearby, and 10 minutes walk from the station. The continental breakfast was very good. The host, Frederico went out of his way to make my stay enjoyable and takes pride in giving his guests a good experience at the hotel. I would definitely stay again.

There was nothing to dislike.

It was a great location, about 1 minute from the lake and where the boats depart for the Borromeo Islands. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. They even gave me a bag and little cake when I arrived.

It would have been nice to have a little chair on the balcony. Some of the neighbours opposite were sometimes a bit noisy at night but this didn’t last long & wasn’t all night
