The property is 2 mins away from the port which is very helpful if you want to spend the day island hopping. The hotel also has an included parking which is great and free. The staff were helpful, friendly, and smiling all the time. The breakfast was small but delicious nevertheless.

The property is a bit old, the bed mattress was very hard, and our door didn’t close unless we pushed/slammed it at least 4 times (we basically woke the whole hotel up with us in the mornings).

Don’t be put off by the uninspiring outside appearance of this hotel, it is really nice inside, very clean and well cared for, nice buffet breakfast, nice warm pool to relax in, almost on the waterfront where the boats go back and forth to the Borromean islands, and a relaxing walk into town along the gardens hugging the lake. Really pleasant and helpful staff throughout the hotel.

Great location for ferry. Very pretty walk along promenade to Stresa. Staff were exceptional and very friendly and helpful. Both breakfast staff and reception staff. Very accomodating in rearranging my dates when travel plans changed. Good choice for breakfast And thank you for the late nite cuppa. Great restaurant nearby by the lake. Rio????

Lovely staff - I felt looked after. The location is splendid - right near the boats quai for the islands and the park. There is a cafe/restaurant opposite with a view of the lake and surprisingly good food - great for a no fuss dinner. I love this kind of traditional Italian hotel - well kept, well run

A downside is that the rooms have electric shutters - these are very noisy so means you’ll wake up when your neighbour does…

Spacious room. Great view from balcony of the lake. Easy walk along lakeside to town. Many restaurants not far away. Breakfast staff very attentive and operate in many languages. Staff helpful with train strike issues.

Walking from station needed longer route as no footpaths on short route road. Instructions to find room in hotel could have been clearer. There was a big event on nearby island and the pass that would have helped us get past the police was not given out before the event. Electrical wiring cover in bathroom could be better secured to the wall. Light switches on wall inside bathroom near sink - but that is Italian electrics I assume.

Perfect location near the lake, boats to the islands and promenade to the city center. The view to the islands is amazing. Breakfast was very good. Parking was a big bonus. The room had a good size and bed was comfortable. Wi-fi signal was strong. We had a patio overlooking the yard.

The soundproofing is poor. Also pillows and blanket are not comfortable.

The breakfast is superb with welcoming, friendly staff. The rooms are kept beautifully clean and tidy each day. The location is in a great spot - a short and beautiful walk from town, the ferry is a few steps away and parking is on site.

The wifi is poor, beds are not the most comfortable. I could hear the guests in the room next door.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The AC worked perfectly. Breakfast was okay but not to the Nordics standard. Very easy to walk by the lake to the city centre and near port that you could go visit Isola Bella and other islands.

The bed was not that comfortable, neither the pillows.

Lido la Perla Nera is perfectly positioned to enjoy Stresa and Lake Maggiore. Close to the island tour boats. A great restaurant bedside the motel and a beautiful easy walk into Stresa. The motel is beautifully kept and our deck was perfect.

Perfect location close to town and to the boat dock for trips to Borromean Islands. Very nice staff - gave us some great guidance for the boats and made an evening boat transfer and reservation at Isola Pescatori. Very good breakfast.

No minifrig in room. Decor is a bit dated. Not really a "view", more like a glimpse of the water through the trees.
