Luca is the nicest host I have ever met! He offered to pick me up from the ferry point, something I have never encountered before in all my B&B stays. He was also super patient with a lot of back and forth communication and uncertainty when I had to delay my check-in timing, as I missed my train and wasn't sure what time I would arrive. The room is also very spacious, as well as the separate bathroom where Luca and his wife have been so thoughtful in providing all the amenities, things that you would not expect in a B&B. Staying at Il Ciliego is like having a home away from home...highly recommended when you are visiting beautiful Stresa! Hope to be back again!❤️

It's about 15min walk from the city centre where most of the restaurants are, but in Summer it's not a problem at all to take a nice walk even later at night.

Perfect attention to detail. Everything was spotless and well-organised with care and kindness, with a traveller's needs in mind. The host had maps, ferry timetables and lots of tips ready for me, and he was flexible about check-in. He took pride in his offering and rightly so! The walk to the centre of town is about 10 minutes and it is lovely day or night. I had high expectations because of the very good reviews - and I was not disappointed!

I live in a noisy street so I didn't personally mind the noise from the railway - but some guests might like to know ahead of time that the accommodation is close to the railway line. This is more obvious because the location is very quiet - apart from when a train goes by.

This appartment was the best accomodation during my trip ! First of all, the orner Luca is very kind and helpfiul. The interior decorations are very good taste and refined. It is not only pretty but also very clean and well-furnished. The bathroom is also very large and clean. They offer some italian snacks , coffe and tea in the room. They have a nice living room and very clean and well-equipped kitchen which guests share with. The location is also very good. At first I took a wrong way , but finally found out the best way. It takes about 7-8 minutes from Stresa station. I highly recommend this place. Anyway I had a excellent time in Stresa, the lake Maggiore. I really want to visit again. Ottimo! Grazie mille ,Luca!

The room was great. Luca, the host, was there to greet us and also lives on-site so he is there to help with any enquiries, we found him charming and helpful. The property was tastefully furnished and very clean. In the room, there were tea/coffee facilities with croissants and biscuits provided and these were replenished each day. In addition, there were tea/coffee facilities, biscuits, confectionary and fruit provided in the communal area of the property. Toiletries were provided in the bathroom as well as lots of other personal products (body lotion, cotton pads etc). There is real attention to detail in this charming property. The boat station, Carciano, is just a couple of mins away for the Borroman islands and other destinations on Lake Maggiore.

Fantastically clean, superb well equipped bathroom, very comfortable firm bed. Fridge in shared kitchen area. Very helpful friendly owner. About a 10 min walk from the train station (turn left as you come out of the station and follow the road to the T junction, turn left over a small bridge and take 1st road immediately on your left. road goes uphill slightly and take 1st road on right....do not take the road that continues uphill. The GH is at the end) and a 3-4 minute walk down to the lakeside

property backed onto the railway line so you could hear the trains. However, there were not many trains at night and I didn't have a problem sleeping. Basic breakfast but in the shared kitchen were sweets and jars of biscuits to snack on....delicious

It was a fault of Google Maps to send me on a road that had no sidewalk. Luckily, the host taught me the best and safest way to get to and from the accommodation.

The host, Luca, was very nice and welcoming. The apartment has shared living room and garden - very good to have a glass of wine in the evening with the lake view there. The place is quiet, and there is a very nice road to the Stresa center just beside the lake

Only a minor point, and would not have raised it except the question was asked what id didn't like. The coffee capsules. Too weak. (I like a a strong double espresso. Nespresso 12 or 13 strength). However most places we stayed either did not have coffee or only had weak coffee. I would not fault the place for this this. Highly recommended as a homely getaway.

Luca keeps this place meticulously clean. This was the most clean accommodation I have ever stayed in. He is kind, informative, helpful and available. The house is close to one of the boat stops. It is also a safe walk to town.

Some construction noise in the neighborhood nearby which will begin after 8am.

The host was really warm and gave us a lot of tips. The rooms are large and clean. There is coffee and biscuits available for breakfast. Onsite parking is very good. You can relax in the garden. Highly recommended.

The location is a little bit away from the Stresa center. It is 15 min. walk.
