A great 3 day stay here. A warm friendly welcome and shown to our room on arrival. Room 26 was lovely as we could sit out on our balcony in the shade in the morning drinking our coffee, then sip a wine in the warm evening sun. The breakfast each day was great with fresh products available and lovely scrambled eggs. Sitting outside was a great start to the day. The pool area is lovely.  Sitting by the pool bar and then a dip in the pool was really relaxing. This hotel is highly recommended as its has a chillaxing vibe about it and only 15 minutes walk to the centre of town

Absolutely nothing. It was superb.

The accommodation is located about 10-15 minutes' walk from the train station in the immediate vicinity of Lake Maggiore. I received a very warm welcome at reception. The room is easily accessible via an elevator and offers everything you need. The bathroom is very modern and appears to have been recently renovated. Behind the house is the pool with its own pool bar. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and left nothing to be desired. It's worth planning some time here. The center of Stresa can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes directly along the lake. There is also the trattoria "La Botte", which I definitely recommend.

Loud radio music at the pool . Most guests were different generation to the staff member controlling choice and volume of music around pool. Several guests repeatedly asked for the music to be switched off (Sun 18 Sep) but the request was refused. Apparently hotel director likes music at pool. Most guests at the pool were trying to read - very difficult with the distraction of such terrible music. We all have access via our phones and headsets to choose our own music if required. nothing worse than other people’s music!

The hotel is beautifully decorated in an art deco / 1930s style, with lots of original features and ornaments. The grounds and pool area are very well kept. Breakfast was lovely with a range of food on offer including lots of fresh fruit.

The rooms are comfortable although the bathroom in our lake view room was tiny and the air con not overly powerful. Breakfast - my daughter is coeliac and the gluten free basket consisted mainly of individually wrapped biscuits and cakes (she didn’t mind!) but not much bread. Worryingly, there were other items in the basket that weren’t gluten free and she had a narrow escape on our first morning but luckily I double checked what she’d put on her plate before she actually ate it.

Our stay at La Fontana Hotel was absolutely lovely. Annalisa at reception was very helpful. She was able to book our reservations at restaurants and was even able to make a reservation at the hairdresser’s of our choice. Breakfast was delicious, including fresh fruit and pastries in addition to bacon and eggs, etc. They also had umbrellas for us to borrow. The room was on the top floor (two rooms ) with a view of the lake. Elevator, of course.

Perfect location for stay in Stressa. Room very comfortable and clean. Staff comfortable and breakfast good. Would definitely stay again

Some fairly heavy traffic noise from the road nearby makes it impossible to sleep window open but all rooms have air conditioning. Bathroom are newly renovated , modern and clean but rather small

Lovely hotel . 16 min walk into the centre of Stresa. Really friendly staff . Room was clean and air con worked . Pool area was really nice as well

Just a minor one. There is no tea and coffee making facilities in the room . Apparently you get it in some rooms but you pay a lot more for those. Doesn't seem particularly fair .

The room was spacious and bright, featuring a huge balcony that spanned the length of the room and had two balcony doors. The view of the magnolia tree and the lake in the background was lovely. A rich breakfast was provided, with a variety of gluten-free goods, cheese, meets and yogurts. They even gave us a birthday card because I mentioned in the reservation that this was a special occasion stay.

There is nothing not to like.

The location of the hotel is great, while it is not at the center it is very close. The hotel is very nice, the staff was very pleasant. The room, the family villa. was equipped well and we had lots of space. The breakfast was very nice and yummy :-) Overall good value for money.

The beds were not as comfortable as we would hope for (that's a very personal thing, some like "jumpy" beds) and the one thing that was more annoying is the people staying upstairs were noisy and we could hear them walk in the room, not sure what the celling is made of.
