The beds were very comfy The apartment was spacious The state of the room was perfect except for one sink that was not working but that’s it The view of the room was soooo beautiful, we had a small terrace with the lake view, field with horses. The isolation was also good, we didn’t hear anything except birds and cats haha The breakfast was very nice, located in a renovated barn, we could make our own juice, it was full of local product, local cheese, local yoghurt… The location was incredible, in a middle of a stud farm, lake view, lots of cats, dogs, zebra, sheep, and horses everywhere. Bonus point because we broke a glass by mistake and they didn’t make us pay. Plus we felt so at home, even the design of the apartment was a bit old but still very cosy.

Nothing!! Except maybe the terrace and the outside table could have been cleaned a bit more but that’s it.

We had the most lovely of stays at La Cucchetta with our inlaws - we both had beautiful rooms at this stunning property in the countryside on the side of Lake Maggiore. Everything was immaculate and the suites were huge and filled with lots of stylish, quirky art and furniture. The hosts were wonderful and they even whipped me up a surprise cake for my birthday (absolutely delicious apple cake, thank you so much Alessandra and team). A delicious continental breakfast (with eggs on request) was served in an incredible converted barn with high vaulted ceilings and filled with so many interesting memorabilia and horse paraphernalia - so unique! In the evenings we got ourselves ham, cheese and wine from the local supermarket to eat on the outside terrace of our rooms and enjoyed the view of the horses, birdsong and the Lake in the distance. So magical. Best of all was Cinzia the zebra who let me stroke her - what an absolute delight! I would recommend this unique stay to everyone - and it's very convenient to reach the main tourist areas of Maggiore from there - we particularly enjoyed the nearby town of Arona with its great shopping and eating.

From the moment we entered the gate the feeling that I had entered a fantasy world, like from the Narnia books. The feeling of being in a fantasy land accompanied me every step of the way because every detail was arranged with special attention as the one who touched the stars and dreamed how this it should be. We enjoyed the breakfast, the animals, the environment, every detail of our stay. We will come again!

It was a cold day and it take some time to heat a room when we came.

This is a stunning place, located in a natural park, on a hill, but at the same time 5 minutes from the city, with shops, cafes, pharmacies, a railway station, a ferry pier and other infrastructure. Free parking on site. A huge, beautiful area, which includes many places for walking, as well as paddocks for horses. Friendly horses and other animals (there is even a zebra)) Several very cute and sociable cats and dogs. Beautiful view from the hill to the lake and mountains. Blooming plants everywhere (we were there in spring). The apartment itself has an interesting interior. Very comfortable bed. Air conditioning. Clean and fresh bed linen and towels. Tea, coffee and water in the room. Amazing building for breakfast, and the breakfast itself is very rich, varied and delicious. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Stunning place, absolutely beautiful, with an incredible view of the lake. Loved the animals (yes, they have a zebra as well as a few tiny dogs, timid cats, sheep, birds, and of course the amazing horses. The room was very spacious and seemed clean, though there was an issue with ants in the bathroom. Good heating and insulation which was well needed since it was really cold outside. Coffee and tea in the room plus complimentary mineral water were really nice treats.

Wifi signal is extremely low but I'm not sure if they can do anything about it (could be bad/missing infrastructure). The shower was a bit tricky to handle. A curtain or shower door would go a long way. Ants issue in the bathroom. Could use a better mattress. Breakfast options were a bit limited.

This is a great little bed and breakfast type of accomodation albeit a little off the beaten track to get to. If you're driving, this shouldn't be a problem. The place gives you the feel of staying in a converted farmhouse, close to nature with a park and pond close by for a morning walk. The breakfast selection was excellent and the kids loved interacting with the property's pets and other animals! We really enjoyed the stay!

Its a little out of the way so you couldn't just walk to a nearby restaurant that easily. If you're driving, this shouldn't be a problem.

The views to the lake were impressive and awesome. The different animals living there are beautiful and great experiences. The style and decoration of the Hotel was outstanding. Vintage and rustic style. Room was very clean. The forest are amazing for going for a walk with the dog. You can encounter wild animals in the forest as well. The whole hotel concept is simply fantastic to enjoy the quietness and relax with the family.

Unfortunately, the saloon with a great fireplace to spend time reading or simply sitting and relaxing there, is not for customers. There is no possibility to have lunch or dinner or a small room for self cooking in the hotel. This obliges you to go downtown to the restaurants.

Great Breakfast. Calm place. Nature everywhere. View on lake maggiore, in a natural reserve. Super Friendly staff. Animals (horses, dogs, cats, even a zebra !) Very kids friendly, swings, babyfoot. …

This the second time I've stayed here. Stumbled on it three years ago and fell in love with this location. My daughter, granddaughter and I had done a fast pace through Italy this week and this place helped unwind and relax before our trip home. Just being around the animals and the beautiful grounds was the best therapy. Close to the airport but away from the crowds. I will be back!

This is an amazing property, located on a hill bordering Dormelletto with stunning views on the lake. Be prepared for a wonderful stay among horses, dogs, cats, birds and a zebra! The rooms were comfortable and enjoyable but my wife and I barely spent a minute inside because it was just too inviting to walk around and enjoy the presence of all the wonderful animals.
