For 3 nights housekeeping did not fill up the conditioner in the shower - very frustrating.

Although our room was a bit small for 2 people, I loved the hotel and would definitely stay there again. The hotel was spotless. It is absolutely gorgeous. The food in the bistro and at dinner in the hotel was excellent. The servers was very good, and the concierge was very helpful and friendly. I couldn't change the battery in my air tag and I think it was Felice that helped me with that. The setting is one of the most beautiful in all my travels right across from the lake with the most awesome entrance and the grounds are exquisite with the foliage. Loved the indoor/outdoor pool. Swam every day in it. Ate lunch at bistro everyday. Had breakfast outside on the terrace of the restaurant daily. The hotel is about 2 blocks from the town and also the dock to get the boat to the islands. Just sitting and looking out at the Lake is an experience in itself. When (not if) I come to Stresa again, I will definitely be staying here.

I should have booked a larger room, but otherwise I loved the entire experience.

Our 50th anniversary and 3rd time to stay here. The manager sent us a bottle of Prosecco on arrival. We love this hotel. It’s beautiful and well maintained. We love the history and the antiques.

We were surprised that they didn’t have a pet policy. Some people from France were next door and brought 2 dogs then left them all day. We put up with barking and howling for 3 days. The staff said they tried to call after we and others complained but the owners would not answer their phone. It was extremely disappointing and put a real damper on our trip. We were also disappointed that we asked to be moved to another suite but never got an answer. For the price you pay to stay here we would have appreciated help with this.

The location of the hotel is excellent across from Lake Maggiore and the hotel facilities are in good condition. The quality of the food (breakfast and dinner) is quite good.

As a 5 star hotel, the staff should be more helpful and accommodating to guests. Specifically, the concierge should be more attentive and follow through with requests from guests to ensure that requests are fulfilled and to be available to troubleshoot any miscommunications including getting the correct taxi to the Milan airport. Also, the staff at the outdoor lunch restaurant were unfriendly and inattentive to guests.

Definitely the best hotel in Stresa! Everything about it was stunning. Location was perfect - lake views were amazing, staff were so friendly, polite and helpful. Free parking onsite. Totally recommend. Will definitely be back.

There’s just one restaurant on this huge property and despite the fact that there’s loads of great options in the vicinity of the hotel, sometimes you just want to dine-in! Dinner was a bit disappointing…could have been much better in consideration of the overall standards.

We picked the hotel for the spa - really lovely and modern with a great outdoor heated pool. Breakfast was amazing, in a wonderful setting. The room was garden facing but still had lovely views. It's an expensive hotel but one night was worth it for the spa.

The room was quite small and the bed wasn't the comfiest for a 5* hotel. They were quite strict with the spa- we arrived an hour early but we weren't able to use the spa so we instead waited in the reception bar which wasn't very nice- there was a conference on and the service was poor.

Be extremely careful when crossing the main road in front of the hotel. The vast majority of road users ignore the zebra crossing and drive far too quickly. We witnessed at least two altercations.

This beautiful baroque style hotel would be sought for anywhere but being at one of the most attractive locations in Europe with fairy-tale balcony views makes it truly exceptional. It is very clean and well maintained with 21st century equipment and beautiful, new, and very well-equipped spa. Breakfast was very tasty. Many restaurants with excellent choice, reasonable prices and good service were available in the town centre, 10 minutes walking distance.

Our standard room was nice with a perfect bathroom; however, the room was small. There was no space to dry stuff after swimming. The air-conditioning was centrally turned off which was very uncomfortable because the windows must be kept closed due to the busy road. We have been offered a fan which made the free space in the room even smaller. We did not enjoy meals at dinner. Not all staff were friendly and helpful.

Everything was spotless and service very efficient and courteous. Abundance of towels and fresh linen, lovely toiletries, great bar and superb cocktails. Breakfast was very good with a wide range of choice and delicious food. No extra charges for anything - it was all included. Spa was fantastic and could not get over how clean it all was. Spent quite a lot of time just relaxing by the indoor pool and using the fabulous spa area with an interesting array of hot and cold showers and steam rooms. Food was excellent overall - we ate in the main restaurant one evening and it was everything we expected. Overall our stay was exactly what we hoped for and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Pillows were a bit unforgiving and the showerhead too low for my tall husband. That's all!
