Great place to stay on the lake weekend. Gorgeous bad and pillows, super bathroom with bide, I admire wooden floors everywhere, even in the bathroom. Also we had great balcony view on the Maggiore lake. The was some reviews mention that there’s no parking. Can admit it’s not true. The parking is right outside but it’s public and you should pay for it. And it’s absolutely free for the night from 8 pm to 8 am. So I found it very comfortable, because we had the journeys during the day, so had to pay just for the morning hours to have some sleep.

Kitchen you’ll have in the room is absolutely clean- no salt or sugar, tea or coffee. If you need it, take it with you.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Antico Verbano. As a family of five with three grown-up children, we found the resort to be a perfect oasis—both relaxing and ideally located. It served as a great base for day trips to Milan and the charming town of Arona, which is full of excellent restaurants and a welcoming vibe. Whether we were exploring the area, lounging by the pool, or swimming in the lake, every day felt like a treat. The atmosphere was warm and home-like, and the staff were consistently kind and helpful. We also appreciated the thoughtful pool rules, which helped keep everything peaceful and well-organized. We absolutely loved our time here and are already looking forward to coming back.

The location is great: right by the lake with lake access, a few minutes from Arona, Stresa, etc. by car. The rooms/ apartments are good/ functional for families traveling with young children. We really appreciated that kitchenette/ living room, bathroom and bedroom were all separated. For us what was missing from “great” was that everything is kept quite basic, there’s not a lot of effort but into making rooms very cosy or anything like that and for the price we would have expected a bit more. The staff is absolutely fantastic & very kind. The pool is aged but still really nice.

The view of the lake. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and overall clean.

The resort is located in Meina, a tiny village with not much around. If you’re planning to go there you should have a car, since bus taxis and trains are limited. Walking to nearby villages takes about an hour minimum. Staff could have been more friendly. We informed them in advance that we were on our honeymoon, but did not bother. Room soundproofing could be improved, since I was listening to the next room’s TV. Lastly, note that rooms are not fully-serviced, which means that there is no cleaning while you stay there.

Such a beautiful spot right by the lake. Easy access only 40mins away from the airport, five minutes from Arona and twenty miniutes from Stresa. Bare in mind there are no taxis in the area so rental car is a must if the public transportation is not running (check in advance!). However the kindest hotel staff helped us out whatever problems we faced! I am going back for sure!

I don’t want to complain as our stay was wonderful! But unfortunately for the hotel there was some kind of water danage happened in their basement in the end of our stay.

The location is absolutely breathtaking. Opening up the balcony doors in the morning left you breathless :) As it’s an older building I didn’t expect it to be so well kept and clean. The pool as perfect for my 5 year old as the kiddies pool vas in the main pool so we could all hang out together. The staff was helpful and the pool guy very nice! The main bedroom was a corner room and had balconies in two directions. Waking up with the view of the lake was amazing. 10/10 would definitely recommend:)

The balcony is so picturesque, but could only accommodate two small café type chairs so we couldn’t sit out there all together. Although very pricey, I think it worth it!

The view of Lake Maggiore was spectacular. Great location. Everything was very clean. Restaurant was very good. Staff was friendly. The bedroom and one bathroom was up a flight of stairs but easy to climb. 2nd bathroom was on main floor. Kitchen and living room had everything we needed, but a little small. We would stay there again.

About six little kids running and screaming in the hallway at 8 am. Not the fault of the property, it was the fault of the parents not controlling their children. Otherwise, everything was fine.

We loved how peaceful this location was, and the location directly on the lake was a plus. There is parking conveniently located right next to the hotel, and the staff were quite friendly. Our room was very spacious, with lots of hangers in the closet and space for our things (handy, as we were there for a wedding). We hope to be back sometime in late summer, when we can do more swimming.

Very comfortable beds and the location was perfect for us. No trouble parking close by. Large one-bedroom apartment with a large balcony was great.

Our neighbors had a dog that was loose on their balcony. The dog came through the balcony to our side, into our apartment and started barking when it saw my daughter in the bedroom. It scared her a lot. So maybe boarding on the balcony or better instructions for dog owners would be good.

The place and the facilities were great. It had a fantastic location, comfy beds, helpful staff, was pet-friendly, and had clean facilities.

Everything was great, but some of the apartments for 6 adults are not really for 6. For 4 adults is perfect, 5 is still manageable, but 6 is a bit uncomfortable. We were staying only for 1 night so it was fine, but in a different case it would be an issue.
