Hotel Eden is right on the shore of the lake. It had everything needed to make our stay comfortable. Since it was mid June, the heat was already unpleasant, but the AC in the room worked great. Room was ok, spacious and clean, beds quite comfortable. Breakfast is basic, I couln't find any warm food (eggs, for example), but the rest was ok. Parking is public and close, and instructions were clear. We arrived on a Wednesday, and there were plenty of places available.

The room had some minuses. First: the noise in the morning. There was some garbage loading noises, broken glass, very close and unpleasant. Not enough power outlets close to the bed for charging our devices.

The location, with a great view of the lake from our opening door windows - one of the best. Wonderful breakfast, clean room, friendly family based staff .... lovely easy-going environment. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Had a lovely stay at Hotel Eden. However, our room was meant for 4 with a mezzanine level. The metal spiral staircase was a liability. Hit my shoulders on it on several occasions, had to drape a towel around several areas to lessen the hazard. Little room to open and use suitcases ... no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. For us Aussies, a fridge and kettle are always welcome!

Superb location looking directly over the lake and 2 minutes from ferry terminal giving excellent journeys north and south. Bus service stopped in road outside and main line train station 5 to 10 mins walk. Staff were excellent and so friendly and helpful as we're the family owners of the hotel. We were very impressed with all those we met and the hotel. Breakfast good and also evening meals good and price very reasonable

For 1st-time visitors to Lago Maggiore, don't stay in Stresa -- Stay at Baveno! And the Hotel Eden is right on the lakefront, with its restaurant just across the road, at the lake. The generous and tasty (great croissants!) included breakfast buffet may be eaten in either the sunny breakfast room/restaurant, or, across the road, on the shore of the sparkling lake. Baveno has a long lakeside promenade, lined with flowers, restaurants, piazzas, and statues, so much nicer than the handsome, but formal walkway at Stresa. The town is more intimate, with most facilities within two blocks of the Hotel Eden. There is a charming old church complex, crooked old streets, fine villas, a ferry dock, a bathing beach, a small local museum, good restaurants, and an excellent gelateria. The tourists come and go. An evening promenade is very peaceful. There aren't all the fancy shops and tourist junk shops that fill the old town of Stresa -- but that gets old pretty quickly. The Borromean Islands are easily accessible. (I recommend avoiding the Pescatori Island at lunch time -- it's a complete zoo of hot, tired, and hungry tourists.) The hotel couldn't give us a lake-view room (which turns out to be too bight with glare on a sunny morning), but gave us a lovely large-windowed rear-facing room, looking out on the charming Medieval church tower, with the pink granite mountains behind -- satisfactory!

The hostess seemed distracted and harassed when we arrived, and could have been more helpful, but when things settled down, she was pleasant and accommodating. The elevator was small, but worked adequately. Free parking was a few blocks away, near the train station.

Location of the hotel is perfect, with a beautiful view to the lake. They also offer eating opportunities with perfect lake view. Hotel staff was very polite and helpful. There is quite some free parking available near the hotel, which was also guided to us by the hotel staff. Room and bathroom was clean and seemed freshly painted.

Our room was small. We had to ask extra for the air conditioning remote and somehow the aor conditioning was turned off at 3am. It seemed as if it was turned off from some mainline as we couldn't restart it using the remote nor the power button on the air conditioner. With windows open, many mosquitos come in.. Breakfast was veru basic and had some not-so-fresh items like cereals.

Wonderful location. Charming historic hotel. Lovely view of lake. The management is delightful! They were very helpful in sharing history of the area and pointing out interesting things to do. Breakfast included, a charming old fashioned record player played in the dining room giving it a very special touch.

Our family really enjoyed the split level room. The upstairs loft was very big, with 3 twin beds, and a sky window that opened with a nice view. It was nice to have a big separate downstairs room for the parents. The breakfast was fantastic, with a great selection, and we loved that we could bring our trays across the street to eat on the waterfront restaurant terrace. The staff was very friendly. It was easy to park in the many nearby free spaces. We loved the outdoor grassy roof deck with a great view of the old buildings. The location is right in the middle of all restaurants, with a beautiful view of the water, and a big supermarket one block away.

The air conditioner is loud, and you can hear traffic noise throughout the night.

It is located directly across from Lake Maggiore. The breakfast included was wonderful. We were given a room that would have been perfect for a family. One room with Queen and attached room with 3 twins. The view off the lake was spectacular especially the sun rise. Walking distance of restaurants shopping and lake tours.

The parking is not convenient. Unloading wasn’t difficult as we happened to find a spot close to the hotel. The free parking is at the train station a short walk away. However if coming by train catch can to hotel… the walk with luggage would not be easy

From Aeroport Malpensa, I took the bus that went straight to Baveno with the stop next to the hotel(14 euro per person).I have beautiful views of church from my window. The staff of hotel were lovely and very helpful. Hotel location is perfect in the middle of all attractions:2 min from boat's ferry,tram Station, restaurants, 15 min walk distance to public beach.The embankment walk was so relaxing with views to the lake and mountains and islands .

In the evening my room smells food because of kitchen downstairs that cook for restaurant.

This hotel is a super find, right on the lake front and our room view was out the back to the old church, bell and mountains, just super. Our room was comfortable and clean and breakfast was plentiful and a great selection. We were able to take breakfast out to the seating by the lakeside which was just perfect. We were touring on motorbikes and were able to park them safely at the rear of the property. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. It is 2 minutes walk to the ferry to the island tour which was fabulous, especially Isobella. I would happily stay here again if in the area.

Not quite as grand rooms as on the photos but only to be expected.
