I was very impressed with cleanliness of this hotel. Everywhere: the hallways, rooms, washrooms, dining room... it was spotless and stafff was always cleaning, and vacuming and payed such attention to detail thoroughly cleaning all areas. The reception staff was welcoming and helpful especially Meta at the Baveno Simplon location was wonderful, so curteous, helpful and always attentive and smiling! Your swimming pool is excellent. very clean, well mantained, never overcrowded, towels were always available for guests even on cloudy, rainy days. And no young kids running around, screaming and splashing! I loved that!

I find daily breakfast fee at 25 Euros was too expensive, so we chose not to eat breakfast at your hotel.

Our stay in Hotel Simplon was wonderful! It is well positioned in Baveno, and has parking on site. The gardens are beautiful and there is a delightful pool area and bar. There are terraces with lovely seating areas. The staff are all professional, kind and helpful. The rooms have good internet and are spotlessly clean. All the bed linen towels etc are very high quality. We were very lucky to be given a free upgrade and our room had a lovely view out over the lake. There is a passageway between this hotel and its sister hotel Grand Hotel Dino which has a pool and also a beach area on the lake.

I like that i feel welcomed in this hotel - the Manager and the lady at the reception (name Francesca i guess) as well as housekeeping are so friendly. The manager recognised me as i stayed in the hotel before and gave me the feeling of a special guest although i stayed only for 1 night. She appointed us a very nice room (actually a wow-effect room) with the terrace and lake view! They do the best they can for customers. In total i recommend the hotel for its beauty, service, facilities,location and amazing view over the lake! Thank you very much for making our stay unforgettable!

Really friendly and welcoming reception staff who gave us a lovely start to our stay; we were also upgraded to a room with a large private terrace and a view over the lake which was great. The room was extremely comfortable and the public areas - especially the pool and area round the pool bar - were beautiful.

The breakfast was expensive and we were rather rushed when eating as plates and food were being cleared away around us before we had finished. I've never known this happen before in any other hotel, and it's a bit disappointing when you have paid so much for the meal. I really enjoyed the stay and would love to go back - I won't bother with breakfast next time though.

Lovely rooms, old heritage furniture that is totally comfortable. Very comfortable beds/ pillows. Quiet rooms, bar the odd door slamming. Heaps of facilities, massive expanse, 2 pools, one shallower for kids, terraces, bars, tennis court.. hardly see other guests even when full. Looks over Lake Maggiore.. worth paying extra for the pool/ lake views. Connects with Hotel Dino via a marbled tunnel that is an art gallery. Fabulous breakfast.. everything you could possibly want. Lots of heritage features and rooms worth exploring. Highly recommend.

Evening meals a bit pricey.. good food, but try the other little restaurants/ bistros in Baveno

Spent 4 nights here . Room was good size, comfortable , well appointed and had a balcony with a view over the lake and mountains where we had our breakfast , very nice. We did not use the restaurant as we preferred what was on offer in the town by the lake. The swimming pool area and gardens are lovely. Good parking in the gardens at a cost. Easy to navigate around the lake from the ferry port in Baveno which is a 5 minutes walk. All the staff we met were helpful and a credit to the hotel.

Really loved the size of the junior suite and the views. The front desk manager and her staff were so friendly, ready to answer any questions and assist in any way they could. Also the hotel manager was there to assist us with a twinkle in her eye. The hotel is in a good position and you can make your way to the lakeside via a tunnel to Grand Hotel Dino a sister hotel. Loved the experience at this hotel.

As a slight negative, I think it would be useful to have a grip bar at the end of the bath to aid getting out of the bath. Also in the Junior suites it would be nice to see a glass for your water instead of plastic cup.

This is a beautiful hotel. The interior design looks like the early 1900s and this fits the hotel very well. Space is usually at premium around Lago Maggiore but this hotel has plenty of space everywhere: lobby, pool, restaurant, car park. The guests can use the facilities of nearby Hotel Dino which makes a total of three pools. Even the corridors linking the two hotels are very nice. The front desk staff are very friendly and I heard them speaking Italian, English, French and German fluently. The hotel is perfectly clean both in the rooms and the common areas. The rooms are large. The room is quite nice and is up to the standards of a four star hotel but with a few changes such as top quality mattress and sheets and also better quality shower gel and shampoo it could be a good five star hotel room.

The food at the bar was not as good as at some restaurants in town

Pool area was lovely. Access to Hotel Dina indoor pool was a bonus. Gorgeous fit out throughout with lots of marble. Very well maintained. Short walk to centre of Baveno with many cafes and restaurants.

There is no kettle in the room to make tea and coffee. Parking was 25 euros which seemed expensive as it was in the hotel outside car park.

Friendly staff, nice bedding, great pool area.

Pool water was v cold! Breakfast was ok but not the best, bathroom was small and tired. Bar was very quiet. I wasn't impressed that a 5% service charge was added to the room bill. Please do not follow a US model, none of us like the over tipping culture.
