We arrived early but the staff were great providing us with drinks and somewhere nice to sit with a lake view while our room was made up. The room was lovely and cool, clean and comfortable on a really hot day. The staff helped by providing a map of the local area and some suggestions for what to do and where to visit.

We were more than a little disappointed to find that the restaurant was closed on the one night we were there (wed) and were given no reason why. The reception staff implied that sometimes its shut Mondays, sometimes Wednesdays, sometimes both. 🤷‍♀️ Watch out for the biting insects (ants in the garden and mosquitoes on the terrace) but what can I say they seem to like feasting on me wherever I am.

The rooms were very nice and clean, the staff were friendly, the restaurant was excellent and the terrace has a fabulous view of the lake. The lake and small beach are a few mins walk away; the beach has a small snack bar. The old town of Orta San Giulio is lovely and pedestrian.

There was nothing we didn't like, but just note that if you want to walk to the old town, it's around 25 mins (road plus lakeside path).

Nice hotel, helpful staff. Breakfast was exceptional. Restaurant closed the night we arrived but we went to San Antonio just down the road on the recommendation of the receptionist. Walk up to the hotel is very steep, admittedly we stayed during a heatwave but that caused issues for my husband. You can walk into town, go via the green lakeside walk to the right of the peninsula, slightly longer but beautiful. Would stay again

The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, it was a good size room, the staff were all really friendly, breakfast choice was amazing, the communal areas were clean and comfortable and had spare books to read (which I needed 😃), view of the lake was beautiful, we were in a nice quiet part of the hotel on the end, the restaurant food was delicious.

Not sure there was anything we didn’t like 😄

Beautiful location, room with lake view and large balcony terrace, comfortable and clean. Ate in restaurant two nights in a row, food very good, lovely setting and atmosphere and service excellent. Great hospitality at this hotel. Staff were personable and friendly and Alberto went out of his way to help us. We were very unfortunate with the weather as it rained when we were there but despite that we enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Okay... so my last breakfast in a hotel was in a 5 star hotel in New Delhi... with EVERYTHING. I was expecting to be disappointed but I wasn't. Breakfast was lovely. The choice was truly amazing. Freshly fried and scrambled eggs, freshly baked cakes, lots of different types of fruit to compose your own fruit salad. Perfect. The room was large, clean and comfortable. We only came for one night so could not have asked for anything more. The views from the front were superb on a very hot September day. The restaurant menu looked good too, but with a wedding on we did not get to try it. We would very much look forward to coming back during the winter months with fewer people about.

The only very slightly negative thing (for us) was that there was a wedding that seemed to include lunch, dinner and breakfast! Luckily our room faced the back garden so we were not bothered in the slightest by the music and dancing, but we were worried... We would probably have had dinner at the restaurant if the wedding had not been on.

Wonderful location, the view from the terrace is stunning. Breakfast is fantastic, fresh fruit, breads with cheeses, meats or omelettes, something for all. Restaurant was also very good. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Nice view on the lake from the terrace, large bedroom. The restaurant is also a good value and quite busy when I stayed there. Free parking and relatively large number of spaces

Room does not have usual EU plug compatibility, only the 3-in line italian style. Bit annoying.

The location of Hotel Bocciolo is wonderful - overlooking, but also elevated above Lake Orta. Breakfast was perfect, and we could sit outside and admire the view. Our room was private with a rear patio that, had we had more time, could have been great to use. Parking was perfect. We were able to walk down to the edge of Lake Orta within 3-4 minutes, and the view is incredible!! The staff were incredibly helpful.

We stayed one night on a multi-leg trip by car from London, UK to Pescara, IT, and the hotel worked wonderfully for our purposes.

the view from the hotel terrace was spectacular. Unfortunately, our room "with easy access" did not have a view, but it suited our needs very well as we were travelling with our dog and the extra space was most useful. Outside our bedroom was a small terrace with table and two chairs where we could sit in the shade.

Service at dinner was a bit slow and our coffee was forgotten, eventually it arrived after ordering it with three different members of staff.
