We had been staying in the Dolomites for a week and then just finished our Italian trip staying just 3 days in Verona so that we could go to see the Opera Rigoletto in the open air Roman Arena. The boutique hotel was really lovely with stylish furnishings. The bathroom was modern and fully fitted out. We had breakfast that included really delicious pastries made on the premises by a very pleasant lady who also served us our breakfast.

According to Google Maps, the hotel is a 15minute walk from Piazza Bra Arena and 20minutes from Piazza Erbe. Access by private car is not allowed to the historic centre and public transport routes were not very convenient. However we used an excellent appTaxi operated by the local authority which similar to the Uber app that we have used else where.

Breakfast was set out downstairs in an atmospheric room. The buffet was varied and freshly made by the very helpful staff. Even the bread was freshly baked by one of the staff and her apple strudel was delicious !! The lady obviously took pride in her cooking and baking and it made the breakfast experience special. Thank you !

When we arrived we were a little disappointed in the welcome and were shown to the wrong room. Unfortunately when we got the room we booked the air conditioning didn’t work. However the manager moved us to a similar room the next morning.

1) Easily accommodated our party of 4 plus our friends' party of 3 in 2 apartments. 2) Air-conditioning was perfect (even too cold). 3) Good shower. 4) Comfortable beds. 5) Very nice residence with lots of antiques (furniture, paintings, sculptures). 6) Great friendly stuff!!! - Grazie mille!

1) We were on the top floor but property doesn't have lift, so 5 suitcases had to be carried up & down by hand plus walking up & down for any elderly person wouldn't be optimal, so you needs to request the bottom floors apt. 2) Property has a kitchen but hardly any glassware (in our case, we had to drink our prosecco from tea cups). 3) Toilet door wasn't locking 4) main room where 2 beds were setup didn't have any blinds, so it was very bright in the morning 5) Located 15-20 min walk from the arena 6) Slightly expensive for 1 night (230 euro per apartment).

Loved this hotel. We had a very spacious room, more like an apartment, comfortable bed and pillows. Spacious bathroom , plenty of towels. San Zeno is a lovely quaint neighbourhood, lots of bars and restaurants and the Basilica which is stunning. A nice walk down by the river to Castevecchio and then to the Arena a 20 min walk. We also loved the antique style of the hotel. Breakfast room was absolutely stunning, great selection of food, hot and cold, very pleasant and helpful staff in the breakfast room.

Room could have done with a large mirror.

The hosts have gone to great lengths to artfully and meticulously render their vision here. The apartment has a look and a feel steeped in rich, classical Italian tradition. The breakfasts in the morning were lovely, as were the cocktails in the evening (made by a former world champion, no less!). There are wonderful cafe's, bars, and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. It was only about a 10 minute walk to the centro storico.

Nothing.. it was perfect

We liked the room in general. And the area the hotel is situated in, it is a bit away from all the busy areas and that is a good thing. The breakfast is simple, but nice. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

The parking is quite tricky. Regarding the price the hotel could hold couple spots for the guests, otherwise it is tricky and expensive. All additional service fees are very annoying, when you are paying 120 euros for a room, but still you need to take care of the parking, additional fee, if you would like to use the kitchen and additional tourist tax. Too much of additional to my opinion.

Our room was incredible, felt very historical with the furniture and room decor. Room had all you needed and very very spacious. We had 2 floors, with a table for eating, a couch and large TV, 3 beds, cooking facilities. Staff were really nice, gave recommendations where to eat and visit. Great breakfast! The location was perfect, withing 8 minutes you were in the centre, but also located in a quite area which is what you needed after a long day in verona.

Great location, just a 10 to 15 minute walk to the old town. Very helpful staff, especially Richard, Stefano and the wonderful breakfast hostesses. Bed was one of the comfiest we can remember at a hotel and AirCon was a welcome relief in 35C.

Could have done with coffee in the room and maybe a chair or two!

Typical Italian building. staff so friendly & helpful. gorgeous breakfast, typical Italian continental with cooked pancetta & scrambled eggs. Strong coffee to set you up for the day. bread rolls, croissants, ham & cheese. Our room was lovely with a comfy large bed, sofa, small kitchen available to use for a small charge. Location was incredible for us, just 10 minutes walk away from the centre so it’s lovely & quiet but so close to everything. There’s also a beautiful large square just around the corner with lots of restaurants, bars & gelato cafes. These are well worth visiting as quieter than the centre & a bit cheaper. Around the Arena in the centre can get extremely busy & restaurant’s full.

As with other reviews we were surprised with the lack of hangers in the short wardrobe. Also not many drawers. such a small thing that could be resolved easily. We we did stay for five days so I did have a few dresses & tops.
