Location! Location! Location! It’s the best thing going for this hotel. We are a family of 4, so we booked an economy room for the children. It was tiny but very clean. We had a standard room, with really good space. The rooms are very clean and our bathroom was spacious, modern with hot water. The staff were lovely. Really helpful because we needed rooms next to each other and she searched for ages to keep us together. If you like being central to everything, this is the place to stay. If you like spacious rooms, then you will struggle.

We stayed two nights and they never put shower gel in our bathrooms, just shampoo so I think they run out. So bring your own. The hotel looks nothing like the pictures posted. If you are a grown man, you won’t fit in an economy room shower stall. We were lucky enough to get rooms at the back of the hotel. There is a McDonalds directly below the front of the hotel which was very noisy and all the shatters at the front of the hotel were kept closed.

Hotel Mastino is ideally located for visitors to the Arena di Verona Opera Festival. It takes little more than a 5-minute walk to get to the Arena. Hotel Mastino is also fairly convenient for the Porta Nuova railway station in Verona: I walked the distance in about 20 minutes. Being on the edge of the historical centre, there are loads of places to eat of all types in the area, a great many of them with sidewalk seating. Breakfast was quite good and varied, self-service with plenty of tables available. The room was comfortable and well-lit, equipped with air-conditioning, a mini-bar/fridge, a safe, and most other necessary items. In spite of being so central, it was very quiet for sleeping (I was on the second floor).

There was a paucity of electrical sockets in the room.

I haven't had my credit card charged for my stay until check out. It was the usual thing in the past but now it is quite extraordinary and it shows the hotel management trusts their guests. Big room and huge bed. The cleaning room service is the best that I can remember and decoration was borh tasteful and simple. Value was great as the cost per night including breakfast and tourist tax was below 70 Euros. Wide choice of food and drinks in the breakfast buffet. The staff at the reception desk and in the breakfast room were amiable and professional. Downtown location was outstanding just a few minutes far on foot from the Arena.

Location was exceptional for seeing the sights of Verona, staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was nice and rooms were comfy and quiet although could do with a facelift, shower was also decent.

A bit stressful arriving by car, we had reserved a space in the underground carpark (through the hotel) but we didn't receive instructions about where we could unload the car upon arrival at the hotel so we were a bit nervous parking out on the busy street at the hotel location, fortunately my wife went into the hotel to ask the staff and a very helpful member of staff escorted us to the underground car park and explained all about it. Car park was very safe and secure.

The location was perfect to walk anyone within central Verona, and only 15 minutes walk from the train station. The continental breakfast was a plentiful bounty to fuel you every morning, The rooms were clean, and cleaned every day with fresh towels and the bed made up. The staff were friendly and helpful, even prior to the trip helping with airport transfers. The room was spacious and comfortable, with reasonable sized ensuite shower room.

The room had a mini bar but no coffee making facilities, however there was a cafe next door to the hotel.

The location was central Verona, a brilliant place to get around and see everything, location - spot on The room was actually on, it was not luxury but we did not expect this, it was a city centre hotel with facilities to match. Aircon, comfortable bed and a decent bathroom (with a questionable shower) The breakfast was also ok, good in fact, you don't go to an Italian city and expect and English breakfast, if you are, don't go. Very comprehensive continental options and good hot options as well, I enjoyed my breakfasts on both occasions we stayed, we had the same room each weekend. We even saw the Pope on his visit to Verona, a great base to visit the region, we went to Venice for the day and also Lake Garda for a week, then back to Verona. Greta train service for Milan and Venice, we went to Venice it took 1hr and 20 minutes.

The shower was a little temperamental and the cubicle very small to get into, the doors were hanging off the runners, so I had to realign them, no drama, other than this, it was a fine stay. There is a MacDonalds underneath some of the rooms, so be prepared for some noisy evenings in the heat, scraping chairs on the floor and general meeting of people, sometimes 20 or more outside your window. Close your window and put the aircon on, you wont be to disturbed.

Location is perfect. near to supermarket pharmacy restaurants castelvecchio is just on the corner of the building, Staff are very accomodating and helpful. apartment id clean when we arrived. Its BIG apartment with continous hot water. The apartment has two bathroom one with bathtub which is awesome for those who have kids and i happened to have one. They have a kitchen cabinet. Very neat its a cabinet but when you open it theres a whole kitchen inside.The apartment is 500m from the hotel reception so they have a service that will bring you to the location. #ApartmentAdige

The only down side is the water boiler that has "calcare" so we weren't able to use it.

Great location,very central, staff very friendly.

No hot drink facilities in bedroom.

Everything was great. Was traveling solo with my child so had asked for a “quiet” room, and we were put in the back. Very quiet at night, but still had a nice view. Staff was very nice, breakfast was delicious and plentiful; all was well. We went end of June and were taking day trips so weren’t in the room a ton, but the AC worked and the room served its purpose. Very quick taxi ride to and from the train station. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was spacious, zero complaints. Location is also impeccable, walkable to everything.

The location was excellent, surrounded by restaurants. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was big and wonderful. Parking was in a private, undercover garage with a seperate lockable door. A lovely, friendly staff member took us to the garage (150 metres away)'so we wouldn't get lost. It was a small gesture that was greatly appreciated after a long drive. They also helped us to get back there the next day. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience.

The room wasn't very big but everything else made up for it.
