** I messaged the hotel via Booking.com to mention that our stay was to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. It would have been nice to receive a small surprise or mention of some kind. A bit more of a personal touch? ** Not too impressed with breakfast. -- did not like queuing to be served when most other hotels is a full buffet style -- there was not enough fruit -- not enough options with eggs -- not enough options in general (would have been nice to have a cooked omelette for example)

A pretty hotel in a fabulous location right on beach. The beach itself if beautiful too. All meals at the hotel were good (we had half-board) and it was really nice to have served meals in the evening rather than the more conventional buffet style meals that many hotels rely on. The room was fine - much what you'd expect for this grade hotel - clean, large, comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe space and drawers, large ensuite shower, toiletries included. Staff all very helpful and kind. It was also really nice to have our own allocated sun shade and sun loungers on the beach for the duration of our stay - nice touch.

The air conditioning in the room wasn't particularly effective although it did take the edge off. We reported it but it seemed that this was the normal way it worked. It was also a little bit noisy but you get used it. The hotel was a little way out of the town of Villasimius and there aren't any local shops nearby the hotel (or at the hotel) for buying basics like sun lotion, etc. However, that said, there is a good shuttle style bus every hour into the town (and beyond) which only costs 2 euros per person no matter how far along the route you travel.

The location and setting were simply amazing! The beach right in front of our room, just a few steps away, the big swimming pool for kids, the yoga/pilates/stretching sessions in the morning/sunset, breakfast is really good, with more than enough options. The room was comfy and a decent size for a family of 4. Our kids had their own room and beds. The staff in the breakfast/dinner area was really kind and attentive. We went with half-board and I think we made an excellent choice. It's a mix of buffet (for starters) and then 1st and 2nd plates. The food was delicious, inventive and varied.

Beach was pleasant. The twin beds were adequate. The bunk bed was really tucked into a hallway where AC didn't quite reach. I guess the family room was not the best choice. There were limited options for food between 3:30-7:30 for my vegetarian son but the staff did provide a gorgeous fruit place to help with the hunger after traveling. The pool and grounds were very nice and manicured. The breakfast was good but would have been excellent with firmer eggs. The little village of Villasimus is really charming.

The staff did not prepare the room as requested (twin beds instead of one big bed) so we had to wait for the bed placement to be completed. The first row of chairs on the beach is reserved. So even in late evening when the beach was empty, I felt like this was an unnecessary restriction.

Lovely location, one of the best beaches in Sardinia with incredibly clear sea. Excellent variety at breakfast, delicious patisserie section. Room was spacious and clean. The set-menu at dinner was pretty good every evening. Nice piano-bar atmosphere post dinner and friendly staff. The free to use beach-volley and beach-tennis court was an added bonus.

The decor and facilities could do with a modern update, but the wilderness of the location more than makes up for it.

The Hotel offers many possibilities to enjoy our vacation. We have the private beach, 2 pools, a bar, a restaurant and for families there are activities for children during the day and even in the evening. For those who are looking for vacation to rest “far niente” it’s the perfect place.

The rooms are not well soundproof, so we could hear our neighbors quite well… The choice and quality of the breakfast could be better, with more fresh fruit variety, such as water melon, melon, etc. The system at the beach to allocate sun beds and ombrelle sounds a bit odd. As a specific same place is “reserved” for you during the whole stay (so if you want to change daily your place or freely chose the place you cannot).

We had our wedding there and it was perfect! The location is beautiful right near a beautiful beach. The room was well equipped with a comfy bad and an amazing shower. Even though there were many guests, there are always enough sunbeds on the beach and pool and seats in each restaurant. It doesn't feel crowded at all. The food was very tasty. The personell was mostly lovely and there is nice live music every evening

Sometimes the personell was not very flexible like they didn't want to give us an iron to iron our wedding clothes and they did not let us get sunbeds next to our friends from another room even though there were plenty empty.

We had an incredible stay at this welcoming, friendly hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing, warm, thoughtful and very tolerant and encouraging of our Italian, with their support we learnt lots of new phrases. A special mention to Esther and the other staff at the beach cafe. It felt like they could do with another one or two team members but despite that they were universally welcoming. The beach is lovely, clean, and a good size. There's a pleasant walk to some granite rocks on one side. My husband enjoyed snorkelling around the bay and the swimming is excellent. There are some stones and pebbles as you go in, but once you're past that the sand continues. The food was excellent, breakfast has a huge variety of options and the staff are attentive. Seafood and salads at the beach cafe were excellent. The pools are a decent size although we didn't use them as the beach was so lovely. Our room was spotlessly clean and very quiet, the cleaners were cheerful and efficient. The local town, Villasimius, is interesting and has a wide choice of restaurants, we needed our car to get there. I'm not sure if taxis run there but it was worth a few evenings out. It really came alive after 5.30/6, it's a little quiet before then. Some of the main rooms in the hotel have a bit of a 1970's vibe but everywhere was spotlessly clean and we found it rather charming. There is a team of 'animateurs' keen to explain all the social and exercise options available. We really needed a completely relaxing holiday so we didn't make use of this but it looked like lots was available for families and children of all ages generally appeared to be having a ball. The team on reception were helpful and all in all it felt like an exceptionally well managed hotel with a great team of motivated and well directed staff. My husband and I felt totally relaxed on leaving, a perfect holiday. We would certainly return.

A couple more staff at the beach cafe would be helpful. Sometimes during peak periods service could be a little slow, although it was always very polite and the staff were working as quickly as possible. It would be great if room service were available, we would probably only have used it once or twice so perhaps it's not feasible in a small hotel.

Loved everything. Sun beds are great, beach, bars, pool, food, staff, parking, balcony, room, swimming, layout, cocktails…partner had the burger of their life for lunch at the beach bar.

If dinner is included, get down there early. We went at 8.30 pm one night and all the starter cold buffet dish of lovely shellfish (scampi, langoustine, etc) was gone and not bought back out. Only one English speaking channel on the TV we could find, for those that fancy some late night telly as you drift off. We tried to watch Die Hard 2 in German, but without subtitles it was challenging.
