Perfect location 20-30mins walk to most areas in most directions. Extremely helpful staff, and the small team of 3 that manages the "Whatever/Whenever" phone service is a credit to the hotel. They went above an beyond to organise our crumble cookie review. (don't forget to tip these guys, they are not customer facing, but work so hard, so often get overlooked, in my opinion). The communal areas will be stunning when the State City permit comes through, thank you staff member Cici for showing me these areas, the renovation is stunning. Also as the restaurant wasn'y yet open for breakfast, the provision of daily pastries was fresh and delicious. This was a great service.

For a new renovation, just completed the toilet seat was falling off, and the shower door is a bit cumbersome to close so water leaks. But house keeping for daily service plus turn down was fantastic.

Great location, comfortable rooms and friendly staff, except the breakfast person who gave my daughter a hard time for grabbing our pastries and coffee in the morning. It was my daughters and I staying in the room but we would send one person down every day to grab our breakfast. And he gave her a difficult time. Didn't appreciate that.

The renovation aspect. Limited the access we had to the hotel amenities.

Great location, close to subway station and restaurants in the area. The size of the room was large for NYC standards and great city view from our room.

Sad that the rooftop bar was not open yet. The rooms were neat and cleanish there was dust and dirt buildup on window sills and room base boards. Some of the furniture was chipped and worn even though they advertised renovated rooms.

Location was great. We would definitely stay here again and spend more time in Union Square area. We were in Times Square for two plays, so only spent a little time in the Union Square area. The room was very nice. The beds, and bedding, were comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly.

There was no hot water in our sink. Thankfully, the shower had hot water. We assumed it was just an issue with all the renovations.

Everything was super comfortable. View of park was a little limited but closeness to other room was more important. The room was spacious. The shower was great. I did let water run so it would warm up.

The light fixture controls were a little difficult to reach. The charging plugs were great, but I didn't see them at first, no power indicator lights.

We had a very well appointed suite. We stayed for seven days so this gave us plenty of space. New York hotel rooms are often quite small, so we were very happy. This is our fourth or fifth stay here. It's a great location to visit the city, but well away from the "madness" of Times Square!

We were notified beforehand (and hence it wasn't really a problem) that the hotel is currently being refurbished. During our stay the bars and restaurant were closed. Only one lift working but it was manned by a member of staff, so we never had to wait.

We love this hotel! We love everything about it - the staff, location, cleanliness, decor, comfortable bed...I could go on and on.

It is expensive, but all decent and clean hotels in prime locations in NYC are expensive - so the price of this hotel falls in line with other hotels of its caliber.

Renovations not finished and no access to restaurant however complimentary grab and go breakfast provided. Information and update regarding renovations was clearly communicated in advance.

The location is very central, close to subway. The room looks new and is a decent size for Manhattan.

The curtain doesn’t close all the way in my room, and the staff doesn’t seem very professional, took too long to check me in. Their attitude is nice tho.

The restaurant was closed for renovations and they made no plans to have alternate room service other than offering complimentary coffee and croissants at a lobby station
