1. Very convenient for its location to be very near to many tourist spot. 2. Staffs were very friendly, not to mention there was a Malaysia staff that made us feel home. 3. Room facilities were very impressive, such as TV with various TV options including movies for adults and kids, coffee machine and tea pot.

Just a minor suggestion for the opportunity to be able to access to the other parts of the hotel such as the old lift.

Such a Shanghai landmark hotel. I invited my parents to stay with us and their eyes light up when they heard it was the Peace hotel. The hotel has its own museum and offers free tour at certain hours. They have the most friendly staff among all the hotels we stayed during this trip.

Too bad the hotel was probably not built to be sound proof considering the history. We could hear our "neighbors" laugh and talk at 1am.

The hotel is located just right next to the Bund. Very conveniently located close to the metro as well, making commute easy. Room was spacious for 3 of us with 2 queen size beds. We originally did not include breakfast in our booking but the hotel provided complimentary breakfast to us since we were staying for 4 nights. The breakfast spread was a delight, offering both local and international cuisines.

The hotel is definitely on the pricey side but because of the location, the history and design of the building, it is worth it. Weird is the requirement to wear a swim cap if you want to swim in the hotel pool. First time encountering such a requirement for a hotel pool. So if you do not have a swim cap, you would need to purchase one from the hotel if you to swim.

The hotel is on the corner of the Bund and the shopping/pedestrian street: East Nanjing road. When you walk out you are right in the thick of things. I was upgraded to a lovely suite with a partial view of the Bund. The care was unbelievable The staff all over the hotel was extremely attentive, especially in the club lounge. Thank you Kevin, Marjorie and Melody. I had a slight problem in my room and the care of the guest relations manager, Terence, was incredible.

The selection of food at the club lounge was good but not as good as my previous hotels: Ritz in Chengdu and Novotel in Beijing. Also the evening hours were kind of limiting. One order of eggs benedict for breakfast was brought to the table after a long time and it was cold.

I recently stayed at the Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai, and I must highlight the exceptional level of service and hospitality. A huge thank you to Alfred from the concierge team, whose professionalism and kindness made our experience truly unforgettable. A special mention also goes to Leslie, the head bartender, who delighted us with his amazing cocktails, crafted with care, good humor, and a contagious warmth. This stay will remain a cherished memory, and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking an exceptional experience in Shanghai!

I felt like a princess staying here!! They upgraded me to a beautiful room with a view of the lights on the Bund! I had an amazing tour, where Hebe even took us to the top of the hotel (because our group was only 2 people) and the views were truly stunning and some of my favorite pics during my time in Shanghai! The location couldn't be better, just walk out the door and you are right at the heart of the iconic views of the city! And the breakfast buffet was incredible! This was my last stay during my tour of China and the best way to end my trip!! I loved it!! Thanks so much!!

The vent system need to be fixed. At times a cigarette smell would come into my room.

The aircon is very noisy and does not allow for a heater option.

This is a classic historic hotel, beautifully furnished w excellent service. An English-speaking staff that are extremely helpful. In my case connecting to Alipay, the Chinese payment system. The room was large, well appointed, and comfortable. Breakfast is anything you could ask for from any nationality of food. The location is right on the Bund so your experience starts when you walk out the door of the hotel.

This is a grand old hotel and a marvellous place to begin one’s visit to China. The location is stunning, right on the Bund with the spectacular skyscrapers of Pudong just across the water. Also very convenient for public transport. You can easily get there by subway. The room was huge and very comfy with every possible mod con. Beautiful bathrooms. All in all a fab place to treat oneself. The staff were also very helpful.

The breakfast is mainly Chinese so if you’re looking for western breakfast perhaps better to go out.

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at this superlative hotel. The staff were all professional, courteous, welcoming and spoke excellent English (although we were able to communicate in Mandarin). This hotel holds special meaning for my family as our forebears had frequented the hotel back in the days when it was the Cathay hotel in pre-Communist Shanghai. So our stay meant a lot to us and we were thrilled that the hotel lived up to all our expectations. OUr room was beautiful and very well-designed, with separate dressing area and a huge bathroom. Everything was well-maintained and clean, and the Le Labo amenities were just the icing on the cake. The location was also excellent, being on the Bund and Nanjing East shopping street so there's plenty of shopping, sightseeing, and eating options. All in all, a very memorable stay and we hope to have the pleasure of staying again the next time we're in Shanghai.

We liked everything! If I had to pick something, it would be that the hotel seems to be the preferred accommodation for Chinese government officials as well, and security is significantly tightened up when that's the case. During our stay, there was a government official in residence and everyone coming and going from the hotel had to go through security checks such as bags through x-ray scanner and getting body scanned. It wasn't a huge inconvenience, but a little annoying when you just want to return to your room after a long day of sightseeing.
