This was not a new hotel but we had a comfortable stay. The room rate was reasonable and fair. Daily complimentary afternoon drink and snack was offered in a limited time of the day during our stay which was a lovely treat even though we couldn’t make it everyday.

Really nice atmosphere at this hotel. It was a great room with lots space. We had a view of the bridge and could see the sea. There was a free afternoon tea with yummy cakes and drinks. The breakfast was well presented with many choices of food. It was easy walking distance to the train station and we found lots of places to eat dinner. There seemed to be lots of great coffee shops who are doing expresso coffees and drip coffee. The hotel also had a laundry where I could do some washing.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Room was newly renovated. Staff were helpful and polite.

Conveniently located, 10 min walk to JR Aomori Station, staff friendly and helpful but limited English, we used Google Translate to communicate, room had good quality amenities such as toothbrush, hairbrush, razor but no lotion. Fridge and kettle provided. Check in is strictly at 2pm.

Check in was strictly at 2pm. There was no allowance for earlier check in, even though I requested it 2 months prior to arrival. I travelled for 48 hrs from South Africa and reached the hotel at 10h00. I had asked via email for an earlier check in and was willing to pay the extra cost as well.

Fantastic breakfast! Excellent location. Easy to walk to food, shopping, museums, shrine, park, beach. Spacious room with a good layout. Bedding was clean. The staff uniforms and design of the hotel gave everything an interesting vintage formal atmosphere. Good water pressure and heat in shower. Our nonsmoking room was comfortable and had no odor.

Bathroom had a little darker staining on white ceiling and dark debris on telephone cord and faucet. Tobacco smoke odor in the elevator and lobby.

1) could have more washing machines. They had two coin washing machines and one of them could not be used for two days. they could improve or slightly modify their selection of free snacks once in a while. It is always the same snacks and drinks.

The room I booked (Deluxe Comfort Corner Twin) which is 23 sqm, is spacious and has large windows overseeing the bay. Room is very clean, and it even has a Dyson hair dryer. staff are very helpful and friendly too. Price wise is definitely value for money. It is close to Lawson, a nice restaurant though is a bit of walk from Aomori station. In winter, it is difficult to lug the luggage. Would be better to call a taxi. But other seasons are fine. Hotel staff can help with calling of taxi. The other room I booked for the first night, a small double which is 17 sqm is comfortable but a bit too cramped in my opinion. Booked the rooms early as the hotel is popular.

Some walking about 6 min from Aomori station.

Very near to attractions such as A-factory, ASPAM and Gyosai center,Aji no Sapporo Oonishi, with a Lawson close by as well. The evening snacks from La Sera is very much appreciated as well. Love the back massager in our room View to the sea and ASPAM was great also

For some reason we only found out our Kei car can’t use the auto parking garage on that day. Parked in the ASPAM parking area but the fee is mostly taken care of by the hotel so it’s a small inconvenience overall. People may want to drop off your luggage before heading for the ASPAM parking as it is some distance away.

The room, although a little cramped for two people with the bed pushed against one wall, was always warm during the late autumn days. Bed was otherwise comfortable although the provision of one thin pillow was unexpected. The bathroom was clean and the shower facilities were satisfactory. Internet with a password was fine. The breakfast was a big plus with a wide range of excellently prepared mostly East Asian dishes. Food items were replaced quickly if they ran out. Staff were always helpful even if our lack of Japanese language was not easy for them.

The room was rather small for two people but this can be common in Japanese hotels as well as in some European countries. The bed pushed against the wall made a little more floor space available but it was awkward for the person sleeping against the wall. The lack of a safe in the room was disappointing. When we made the booking, we were not aware that a perhaps different level of accommodation in the hotel provides access to the dining area later in the day for drinks and snacks. Without having such a room, it appears there was no way to use this facility even if we wanted to pay for each time there.

The corner room was very big with lots of amenities, including our own coffee-machine. With this type of room came free afternoon snacks/seasonal sweets on weekdays. Very varied breakfast. Big bathroom. Close to the station and car rentals so it's perfect for exploring everything in and around Aomori.

Very big room, but hardly any storage for clothes which can be a little awkward if you're staying for more than three nights and don't want to live out of your suitcase.
