The three rooms that we stayed at were all clean and had all the amenities that we needed (toiletries, hair dryer, yukata, etc.). The space in each room is sufficient to move around, compared to other APA hotels were the space is limited and small, so this is a nice bonus. The staff were all nice and attentive—they allowed us to check in earlier (with a fee) and called the taxi for us. They also allowed us to add breakfast for just one morning. The hotel is located an 8-minute walk away from Aomori station and one block away from the main shopping street, which is convenient enough for us. Overall a pleasant stay.

There was no heater in all rooms so if it gets cold in the city, that may be a problem. One of our companions fell sick with a fever and couldn't stand the cold. Thankfully, the staff let us borrow an electric heater for a night.

Located within a 5 minute walk from the station, this is exactly what you'd expect from a Japanese business hotel. The staff were friendly at check-in, the room had everything you'd expect and all the classic vending machines etc could be found on site. The only thing of note was that the room was a bit bigger than usual, which was nice. It meant I had space to put my bag down properly.

The biggest flaw was that I'd booked a smoking room by accident, but that wasn't the fault of the hotel. You have the usual APA literature in the rooms, which is never nice, but is to be expected. That aside, there was little wrong with it.

The hotel is quite old and it shows in the hallways. Still, the room is renovated (typical APA look) and clean, features an electric kettle, a tv set, a fridge. You can rent an iron and an ironing board downstairs. For a Japanese hotel room, it is big. This cannot be said about the bathroom which is tiny and claustrophobic. Difficult to move in. The location is excellent, easy to navigate the city. The staff doesn’t speak foreign languages too well, but tries to be helpful.

The best of the APA hotels that I stayed at during my 2 week visit to Japan. While compact, it provided all the necessary amenities. The bed was notably larger than the others I had encountered at APA hotels, (though this did leave slightly less floor space). My request for a room with a specific view was honored by the staff. While not terribly fancy, the breakfast was a lovely mix of options, all of which tasted great.

As with all APA hotels, the shower is too short for someone of my stature (197cm). I cannot stand up straight in the shower without my head touching the ceiling.

handy to the main shopping strip with lots of eateries and with its covered walkway - important during heavy snow falls when walking can be treacherous . Ten minute walk from Aomori train and bus stations and the two fish markets, the Nebuta festival and Civic centre for various celebrations.

It was a good value for money, good location, very nice staff

The breakfast in this city generally is different from european habits, and more especific then in Tokyo for instance, but it was not very appealing for me but maybe for japanese people is.

Lawson's right across the street. Walking distance to everything. From the Furukawa Fish Market, grocery store, bakery, boutiques and even a knife shop...we did a lot of shopping. Aomori station, A Factory and Nebuta Museum was a little further but walkable. We had a nice view of the city. Spacious room, really large TV and comfortable bed for a Japan hotel.

The step up to the bathroom was a little steep. Due to my arthritis in my knee, I had some difficulty going up and down. Would be hard for elderly or people with physical ailments.

As usual the APA Hotel chain doesn’t disappoint. Very high quality duvet and bedding. Rooms were spacious, well equipped and clean. Enjoyed my stay. Just 10 mins walking distance from Aomori station, and a short 3 min walk from Aomori Bay. Lawson convenience store just right in front of the hotel

Room was adequate and although fairly small was still large enough to take our two suitcases and had the normal facilities and amenities. Bathroom was typically small. Breakfast was good, mainly Japanese with limited western food with no cereal. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the station along the main street with plenty of restaurants close by.

The room was quite warm, making me sleep so well during my stay in the winter. The service was good and friendly.

There was the smell of cigarettes in the elevator and hallway even though it was a non-smoking floor. (I stayed on the 6th floor.)
