Room was excellent. The public bath was also very nice. Location perfect, just next door to a Family Mart and very close to lake rental hire facilities. Buffet breakfast food was good.

It was a buffet breakfast which was very crowded. This was the ONLY ONLY thing I didn't like about this hotel. Having said that, the food was yummy. I just hate queuing LOL! Next time I will not book breakfast.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The location is PERFECT, you are always in view of the lake and Mt Fuji every time you leave.

The breakfast had a lot of variety, not the best presentation and ends way too early, they should give it to 10am or 9:30am. I wish there was more information about getting to the property given after booking. Also, when I checked out they rapidly did construction removing floors and everything on the ground floor so I couldn’t sit to gather myself before heading out of town. I was wondering if guest were still on the property because it was almost as if they went into shutdown mode after 10am.

Sun Plaza Hotel Fuji Lake Yamanaka - 2 hours bus ride & easy access from Shinjuku Highway Bus Terminal to the Hotel. Just alight at Bus Stop No. 138 (Hotel Mount Fuji Iriguchi/ Hotel Mount Fuji Entrance) and a short 3 minute walk in between the back alley on your left to the hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable with either view of mouny fuji or lake yamanaka. Hotel has a public hot bath. Breakfast spread is healthy and nutritious. We were lucky to have allotted a room on the 3rd floor with both Mount fuji view and lake Yamanaka view. You can either purchase a return ticket and align the highway bus to Shinjuku on the opposite bus stop or to take the local bus to Lake Kawaguchiko station and get on a Bus which leaves hourly to various stations in Tokyo or a JR train. Gotemba Premium Outlet is also an hour away. Just hop on the local bus to Gotemba Eki and then take the free shuttle bus to the outlet.

The walls were a little dirty with fluids in the room near the bed and sink area. Tattoos are not allowed in the Onsen area here.

The room is super big and clean. Plenty of space for putting luggages. Lighting is sufficient and bed is comfortable. Public onsen is also available at night until 24:00! Family mart is just downstairs in the hotel.

The TV is in a position where you can really use it. Fridge has to turn on ourselves, so make sure to turn it on before putting items inside. We stayed in new hotel wing, and has to walk to old building to use the onsen. Most of the shops close early in the area, so if you want to chill, buy own drinks and chill at tatami area in your own room.

The room is very clean, there were even welcome bottles of mineral water and a selection of tea sachets.

Yamanaka Lake which was the main reason we traveled to the place was obscured by the tall trees.

The room was great spacious, with a great tatami corner with tv perfect to relax after the onsen. Onsen of the hotel which is amazing with the outdoor baths. And the location is great, next to the bus stop and the lake. I highly recommend waking up for sunrise of the Mount Fuji, truly breathtaking.

I wasn’t particularly fond of the breakfast, but it’s only taste wise.

The room is remarkably spacious, the lake views are stunning, and the unexpected views of Mt. Fuji are a delightful bonus.

Many groups of tour guests are staying at this hotel, which makes the breakfast servings feel inadequate, even though breakfast time has not yet ended. Guests who arrive late can only choose from the leftover food.

The beds were really comfy, there was heater, nice hot shower, good fast WIFI, and the onsen/hot spring was the best! Especially the outside part was beautiful and really relaxing. The breakfast was also very tasty! The salmon was cooked well and was really tasty, it wasn't bland tasting. They also had udon noodles which goes really well with the salmon. There was also siomai and cereals, fried dumplings and other Japanese food. There was also free coffee/tea and apple juice/orange juice. The staff was also polite and very nice people. The location is a 10! Right in front of the lake Yamanaka and it's just so nice to walk around the area, so beautiful with a lake that looks like a sea with swans and Mt Fuji as the backdrop. Will definitely recommend!

That my stay was too short; 3 days went so fast here!

The free onsen was a real bonus, equipped with everything you need (at least for women) and cozy, the room was spacious and comfortable and we really liked that the hotel is right on the lake, in the morning we were greeted by a stunning view.

There's really nothing we didn't like because we didn't spend more than a night there.
