The location was spectacular, perched on a hilltop overlooking the ocean. A little remote from a town but we enjoyed the seclusion. Rooms were excellent - very spacious and with a balcony. Breakfast was included and I have to say this hotel had the best breakfast of anywhere we stayed in Japan. The onsen was also the best we accessed. Had both indoor and outdoor option. Staff did not have great English but they were very helpful any willing to communicate via a translate app so there was never any problem.

A fair distance from the closest town. A courtesy bus or taxi would be needed to get to a shop or train station. Not sure that a courtesy bus was available

The hotel will give you incredible views of Fuji from your bedroom window if it has any visibility when you stay. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you didn't have a car as there isn't much around within walking distance (you can walk about 4 minutes to 7/11). The hotel and rooms are a bit dated and run down. However for the price, and the view I think totally worth it. Size of room was huge for Japan standard

There is an additional onsen cost per person per night which you must pay regardless (we couldn't use as we have tattoos and still had to pay) would rather they just add to their booking.com fees. Again, probably need a car if you choose to stay here. Hotel is getting run down and old.

Larger than most rooms in Japan and great housekeeping. The view of Mt Fuji from our window was outstanding! Lovely staff, especially the driver of the shuttle bus. Very friendly and polite. Made us feel valued as guests. The shuttle bus service is necessary to get you into town. The onsen was wonderful and there is a relaxing lounge area next to it. Loved our 2 night stay there and wish it was longer. There is a restaurant in the hotel but we didn't try it so cannot comment. Looked good but a bit pricey.

Bathroom was large but shower was a modular one which was quite narrow. Overall though, this didn't really matter to us. It is about a 10 minute taxi ride from the train station and city centre with only a few restaurant options within walking distance but we tried two and they were amazing!

Atention from the get-go was on point, all indications were very clear. Staff can clearly communicate in english, which helped. The room was big and comfortable, with a terrific view of Mount Fuji. Onsen was terrific, couldn't have asked for more. Great stay, would love to be back!

Restaurant was closed due to Japan Labor Day holiday. But that allowed us to look for food in the vicinity. Italian restaurant Verde close-by was god-sent, so it enhanced the experience overall.

The room is really nice and big. I love the perfect view. When we woke up in the morning and has the direct view of Mt Fuji from our bedroom window, this makes our day!!! Really nice to enjoy this perfect view with a nice cup of coffee by the window. The hot spring is not great but its 7/10 The breakfast is good

The view of Mt Fuji from my room on the top floor was fantastic, and the Japanese spa was excellent. The breakfast was great, although it was the same every day during my 7 days there. They took me to the train station free of charge on my last day.

The breakfast was excellent, but the same everyday. It takes half an hour to walk to the bus/train station, downtown, although there is a 711 about 5 minutes walk away.

It has a nostalgic and old school luxurious feeling. The staff were very helpful even without much English. The room was huge and the view.... Mount Fuji framed as a background. It was exactly what we wanted and more than we expected.

Nothing really. It's not central but easily accessible in any way.

The view of Mt Fuji from the room is amazing.

Blanket has stain on it. Staff not that friendly. If you would like to have your meal in the hotel, there is no walk in. All guests have to pre-booking. So, if you don’t have a transport and not aware of the pre-booking room, you might end up starving.

I liked the view of Mount Fuji from my bedroom. The bathroom was a nice, generous size. The free shuttle was extremely handy.

I would have liked a continental breakfast option. The location was a bit isolated and dark to get to on foot.
